  1. About the same as myself (though chuckle to myself) when Thais drown their pizza in ketchup (tomato sauce) ... W T F
  2. Irrelevant, the policy is 'the policy', simply accept it. Do you think Yanks like that they, most, can't use their Medicare overseas, even though they, some, are still paying into it. Useless in an emergency, and even if elective surgery, then if not continuing paying into it, huge penalty for restarted Plan B/drug part of plan. Rules are the rules, you know them before you decide to live overseas. Do people really think they'd change after they left, or that inflation wouldn't exist or exchange rates not fluctuate. You live with your choices ... don't cry about them
  3. NO ... and agree, that would be hard to leave if having. Although, if not living close and actually spending time with, then a yearly holiday would suffice, depending if their lifestyle even warranted a visit. When living in USA, after 25 yrs old, I didn't spend much time in hometown area, or around family & friends as most do. As followed the money with work. Although much of that was with airlines, so popping back for a visit, was easy, if wanting. Parents and brothers never left PA & NJ, though not really a close family anyway. Actually saw them more when I didn't live in the area Point taken though, as I try to see daughter here, at least once a month, but her work schedule limits that even. Why we live at PKK and not further south, maybe. Only a few hours from Krung Thep where she is.
  4. Better research / planning ... happier retirement ... "find their dream relocation to Thailand tarnished by unforeseen financial challenges. stands by this policy, asserting that it has been in place for over 70 years.'
  5. About time ... a very 'slow' work in progress. Lot's of Thais waiting for E-trucks to hit the market here for purchase. Will be a major game changer when all ready to replace or upgrade their next truck. Toyota, always a bit behind the times, as Isuzu maybe, hopefully already in production and will be selling BEV trucks, at the next Bangkok auto show.
  6. Work smarter ... not harder... .... coffee & Danish on you You may have to buy / add more, extra fast internet to your promotion, depending on your need/usage.
  7. Why the sad emoji ... quality time with my best friend ...
  8. 'Hotspopt' means you share the internet from the Xiaomi phone, to your phone, eccentrically creating a wifi for you to use. Why me and the wifi use different servers, if out in an area one doesn't cover, the other usually does, or if the bungalow service is so poor, then we still have fast internet. Of course if watching vids, it doesn't last long.
  9. @georgegeorgia simply get one of the older, less expensive, but good Xiaomi phones, local sim, and you can 'hotspot' off that when here. The only reason I have a phone, with exception of emergencies, or finding the wife at the store, mall when shopping. She has AIS and me having DTAC, so when out & about, if no wifi at bungalow, we got it covered. Since I rarely use my phone, get 10gigs a month, w/10 carry over, usually have 20 gigs of fast internet during our O&As. How much do you really need, and do you want to sit a a 'shop' for hours. They probably have 'work stations' in Patts/Jomtein area also, but haven't a clue of cost. Or that might just be a Krung Thep thing or thing of the past.
  10. It is strange list, as I wouldn't phanaeng a stew, not most of them / curries, anyway, as no stewing / slow cooking going on. Chicken breast, cut up, doesn't need to be slow cooked, although if made right, whole legs & thighs, then yes, gets stewed. Pork is usually sliced thin, again, not slow cooked. Lots of time, the Chcken green curry will be served, and the eggplant isn't even soft, as still got quite a bit of crunch to it. Depending how much, not a bad thing. They might prepped and cooked fast, actually done, the sit on the stove all day, for quick easy serving when ordered. Beef Massaman (my favorite) would be the exception, as is and has to be slewed / slow cooked, and falls apart like a stew should. If done right.
  11. Think you need to do a bit more homework, before posting Or since you have no interest, maybe not post at all.
  12. Depends on size of system of course, and no matter what size, if not charged during the daylight hours, you certainly wouldn't use your ESS/battery to charge overnight. We charged the car today, ~20%, which is about 9kWh, and if used, would be almost half our ESS amount of 20kWh. and we consume 6-8kWh overnight as it is. So that doesn't happen. Simply wait until the excess of about 3kWh being produced over consumption, and then plug the car in. Usually before 0900. If she only has a 3 or 5kWh system, then half the daylight hours is recharging her battery from the night before, the rest the house is using. We put the granny charger on the car, and it's sucking 2.3kWh of the 4-8kWh being produced. That's an 8kWh inverter. The wall charger is on the grid, since 7.4kWh, but we very rarely use that. Charge the car when at 85-90%, and only takes a few hours. When we come back from and O&A, like arriving at 20%, which will take 2 days of sunlight to get back to 100%, or 3, if the sun isn't cooperating. Here's today production / consumption, and the blue arc is producing, sending to ESS and house using, then you can see when the car is plugged in, then unplugged. If no blue, then batteries are full and simply producing/using what's needed.
  13. Then buy one that has LFP chemistry ... options abound. Unless waning silly performance or live in very cold region, LFP is a better choice anyway for longevity, I think.
  14. ... hmm A controlled burn of Merritt Island wildlife refuge (NASA center location) wouldn't look like that https://www.facebook.com/reel/1565027114349428
  15. You go girl ... 👍 Agree, home charging is not a requisite to own, simply more convenient, and a bit cheaper.
  16. Hard to say, as maybe they were always gay, but the social stigma of being so, in their social circles, forced them to accept a straight relationship, only to realize, they weren't. Don't think you wake one day and think to yourself, 'I think I'll change teams' Only they know their true thoughts of self, and may not want to share.
  17. Have an E-bike also, converted Schwinn, but wouldn't let that sway my decision on any other EV. Though mine is a very good experience, so actually a positive vote for more EVs. Curious, so just checked, see which influenced which, bike or MB; ... E-MB - Sept 2021 ... E-bike conversion - Nov 2021 ... MG - Oct 2022
  18. Don't think you become gay, just realize you are gay or bisexual at some point.
  19. Or E-motorcycle vs ICE motorcycle .. ... do you really want to go that far, or need that top end speed
  20. I was just trying to see if any benefit derived from TURP for a better urine flow
  21. And you know this ... how ? Maybe buying condos, like every other nationality is legally allowed to. Maybe for investment and or a holiday home ... like every other nationality that is allowed to.
  22. A real 'Blood Moon' ... ... hate when they predict blood moon, and it's no different than any other. Pollution helps the blood effect, as it rises on the horizon, as the sun has just set below. Quite a difference from the early morning before, as moon was setting on the horizon, before sun was coming up.
  23. New Top 100 Rating for Stews, and one of my favorites, along with Panaeng, Massaman moving up in the ranking for 2024, from 8th to now 4th position.
