  1. I think only have CGM for another 1.5 hrs ... test the croissant on a very empty stomach, as didn't do anything last night. Not too surprising with at the fat & protein still digesting. After the chocolate, it was still going down, hence the -0 23 October Coffee 0506 70% Dark Chocolate (Bestmate) – 23.4 0746 Almond Delight (Makro) – 36 1156 Pork KraPao w/ Butter rice & egg – 28.8 1616 Bratwurst on Roll & Bacon – 30.6 1746 70% Dark Chocolate (Bestmate) – -0 2000 Croissant, Cream Cheese & Preserve – 0
  2. For those that don't want a BEV truck with a Chinese auto maker badge on the from, this my interest... Toyota Hilux Revo BEV; it is produced by Toyota in Thailand, and will be a competitor in the market flooded by Chinese EVs. The electric Hilux is being developed and manufactured by the Japanese company at its facilities in Thailand, with mass production expected to begin by the end of 2025. Manufacturer: Toyota Production location: Thailand Production timeline: By the end of 2025

  4. So have you done any more research, about Nam war ? Defense contractors would have liked an 'endless' war ... BUT ... the people (USA) got a little tired of having their fathers, sons, mothers & daughters coming home in pine boxes. Killing millions of Vietnamese, just wasn't a good look either. Enough was enough, and thankfully 'Power to the People' ... time to end it. And that took all of 12 days, to convince the North, time to end the silliness, or else. Google '12 Days of Christmas'. Vietnam, the size of CA, USA, half N, half S, and you want people to believe, USA couldn't have won the war anytime they wanted. It dragged on for 15+ years, because it was profitable. That's all. It too 12 Days when they decide to end it .... Let that sink in. That was also the last war with 'free press' coverage, and the reality was a bit hard to stomach.
  5. Bacon w/ side of Bratwurst ...
  6. With me, they weren't meant to, just having fun, and most never lasted more than couple months, with 2 exceptions. Only had 4 real (live in) relationship, first 3 last about 3 yrs each, last one still going, knocking on 20 yrs, come New Years
  7. Thai food, not very expensive. The venue will dictate higher prices. That said, very few I've dined in, have much of an ambiance, fine dining experience, compared to higher end in USA. Been to a few nice place, lovely quiet setting that would never make Michelin guide, and suspect a better dining experience than many that do make the guide. Which is just marketing (Michelin) IMHO, and poorly done at that.
  8. Not so sure about that, as women are the same all over, I would think. And Yank babes go all gaga, if you have a French, UK or Aussie accent. Something different is always interesting. Of course we're not talking about working gals, as they are all about the money. When single, gals seem to enjoy my company, when living in Udon Thani, and there was no expectation of them getting money, and just having fun. I think most had more than myself anyway.
  9. Don't know where you get your silly info from, but we stop around the 3+ hr mark of driving, and that's 250 kms +/-, and 25-30% reserve (70-90 kms). And by the time we're done, walk dog, P, eat, the car is back to 95%. Far from pathetic, and that's only when we're O&A. At home it's charged with excess Solar, for free, saving 50K+ THB a year, if all local driving. Saving hours by not needing a petrol station, if owning a ICEV. That's pathetic
  10. Silly specs for high end buyers, and for most drivers, especially local, knock around town drivers, not needed or desired for the additional cost. Not that you'd be buying a new BEV any time soon. Maybe about the time that Toyota sold state battery will actually hit the market, if ever Apologies in advance, if I've mistaken you for one of them ... ICEV drivers.
  11. G translate is a treat in itself. Changes as you zoom in & out. Gluten was Chinese before switch to gluten, and not sure if I want to eat Chinese, depending how young and cute she is
  12. Better to eat after a meal vs empty stomach, so not something to have with your morning coffee alone, as did have a 36 mg/dl spike, and very short, 1 hr spike 6.5 to 8.5, as already glucose has gone down to 7.3, more than half way. Acceptable (for me) for such an dessert item vs other, and that on an empty stomach. After a healthy meal, and it was only 7.2 mg/dl. Edit: back to 6.5 already, and a really short spike for such an item 👍
  13. Anyone looking for a sweet tooth fix, that shops at Makro and don't have a nut allergy, their 'Almond Delight' won't spike their Glucose too high, though probably has a few more calories than wanting, if dieting, due to 'butter' & 'sugar', but enough fat & protein to negate a sugar spike. Had one last night, 3 hrs after dinner and spike was irrelevant @ 7.2 mg/dl. Just ate another, this morning, and doubt if it will spike much more, as back to baseline glucose level. Tasty vs other sweet tooth fix that would spike much higher.
  14. At home, we charge (MG ZS (LFP) when in the low 80%, back to 100%, since using Solar, and usually the granny / slow charging cable 2.3kWh. O&A, and rarely less < 25%, as that means 3+ hrs driving, and we'll stop before it get that low anyway, just to stretch, eat & P, and charge back to 95% while doing. Always 100% before going O&A, and try to return home at 20%. so about 500 kms is charging by solar of any O&A. Might use the wall charging cable (7.4 kWh) to get it back to 50%, in case of med emergency, as closest real hospital is 100+ kms away. So far, average degradation is about 1% a year, over past 3 years, most during 1st year, so less going forward. Equates to about 15 kms less per charge, from original 360 kms of local driving to 345 kms on full charge. Expect <8% at the 8 yr battery warranty mark, and quite acceptable, and better than any negative expectations or predictions, real life vs BS. Well within the 70-80% remaining that most warranties state during that period. Along with expectations and conservative estimates of LFP battery life @ the 2500 cycle mark. That estimate, kms per year is now just over 17k kms, our average over 3 yrs owning, and will probably be less per year. 20k kms the first year, and just over 51k kms now, coming up on 3 yrs, Oct 30. End of life for our ZS, if & when, will be repurposed to the solar system, as best value, since parts, battery pack & motors worth more than the whole at that point. So if 50-70% capacity remaining, then nice 23-28kWh of ESS addition to the Solar system, and probably needed by then.
  15. This may surprise some, though did post similar elsewhere, from a YT'er, who ate the same. Ate 40 grams of 70% Dark Chocolate (Bestmate), contains 29% sugar, on an empty stomach, and only a 23.4 mg/dl spike, and already coming down, < 1.5 hours ago. I usually eat the chocolate after breakfast of Eggs (fat & protein), which I will do later today, to see the difference.
  16. That's not how I eat normally, as I stated earlier. Most things tested are the worst, and least things I eat. Mainly when out and about, with a meal at 7-11, while charging the car at PTT Park. Hence the noting of 7-11, and only indulge in the fine dining of, while O&A. My normal, in home, whole foods diet is quite good. Dried fruits, as expected, spike glucose, but rarely eat that in large quantities like I tested. BP is fine, 120/80 or less, HbA1c is fine, 5.3, Ap (b) is fine 88. A few 7-11 were acceptable, a couple were not (higher rice content), and no real surprises why spiked glucose. Couple things more than I expected. I eat them so infrequently, not much of an issue. Just want to know which are the better choices. Rice is not a good choice, which I knew, and don't eat often anyway, as not a fan. I like 'butter rice', which nobody makes here. Might make some today, to test, but not something that would be offered when O&A. What, when & how foods are eaten make quite a difference, as heavier fat & protein really slows digestion of carbs and keeps the spikes down to acceptable levels. Been 3 years since stent was placed, and weened myself off all meds, which I probably didn't need anyway, as 'stent report' noted no 'stenosis'. Artery twisted was just an oops, not caused by plaque or blockage. Not much of an emergency, as slow ride to hospital, 100+ kms & 1.5 hrs away. Weight isn't a problem, and I just wanted to test the things I eat, while O&A, that we don't make at home, using whole foods, most everything from scratch. Eating for me is common sense, and the CGM is pointing that out, the things we prepare at home and eat regularly. We seem to make the right choices, and blood work points that out.
  17. 22 October Coffee 1221 Omelet (tomato, Red pepper, onion, Salami) & Dried Cranberries – 30.6 1635 Chicken & Cheese Wrap w/side of Veggies – 7.2 1935 Almond Danish & Milk – 7.2 (Makro)
  18. Added another one to my ignore list. Wish the emojis weren't anonymous, I'd add another one or 3.
  19. If that would have been a bunch of white dudes, and beat down a black guy, there would have been rioting when it hit the news when it happened. Now, if white gius got off with probation, DC would be on fire and malls looted
