  1. Don't think that matters, judging by the posts and replies on AN. Simply being from RU is enough to resent them it appears. MSM says they are evil, and that's enough reason it seems for most people here on AN. Why would anyone care what other countries are required (or even know) to enter TH. How about all the countries that can't use visa exempt, do the vilify the rest of those that can. Or those damn Yanks, and their DTA, and TH not taxing their retirement funds, don't you just hate them Yanks for that. Or those countries that still issue 'income statement', that just annoys me to no end, and I hate them all. They are from RU & evil ... that's reason enough. UNPLUG & WAKE UP PEOPLE
  2. I almost believe that, landfill fire due to global warming ... Are people really that stupid
  3. We had an oops, posted about elsewhere, and MG squared it all away in a timely manner. Actually expected it to take longer. Did the initial repair in about a month, then when test driving, noticed it needed more, so just another 2 weeks to rectify that. Actually impressed with timing and workmanship. Didn't need the car during that time, and why we have the scooter, for a bit of pleasure, and back up.
  4. I don't. Are they really fleeing, or simply going to where they are accepted, and able to fly to. Don't think it's any different than other people's choice to holiday in TH. Is it really their first choice, or all they can afford on an extended holiday. Or for some, if not for P4P, they'd never have sex, so again, is it simply all they can afford. TH does make it convenient for both of those scenarios, if close. Not so much for Americans, as not close, and better options closer to the Americas. Hence the quantity of tourist here vs the quality.
  5. They do charge, and only in the very beginning was it free. Just to let people know it was available and motivate people to test. We don't bother charging at malls, and rarely have use for it. Only use CS when O&A, and rare we would be at a mall when O&A, unless at Krung Thep, which I prefer to use public trans. More to avoid being in traffic and having an oops out of province. We always charge outside of Krung Thep, whether we need to or not, as that means we've been on the road too long already, Going to the mall to charge while O&A isn't really as convenient as PTT. But if living in an area that has malls, and can't charge at home, then would be very convenient, as one does have to do their weekly shopping. If we couldn't charge at home, then Lotus's would be our charging spot, once a week, as we hit Swensen's there every Tues or 2, or Pizza Co, like last night for dinner. Don't drive enough to charge every week, so no problem if we miss an Ice cream or pizza fix some weeks. From your queries and posts, you really don't have any clue how any of this works, do you?
  6. That will be the next target of authorities, like file sharing sites. Censoring 'free speech', any different opinions is top priority, and has nothing to do with anything else. Can't believe people believe their reasons for doing things. As if CH doesn't have all the info they need about the USA. Don't think they need TT to spy on you, or because they want to tell a company who to sell shares to. The silly reasons people believe is mind boggling. Notice it's snuck in on a foreign aid bill, and not a stand alone bill. A clear sign that it wouldn't pass by itself. IGNORANCE IS BLISS
  7. Check that ... it is a really nice camera, especially as a 360 knock around. Finally edited & exported one. Took a while to edit, and export took even longer. Part due to 'user error', on the final attempt. First 2 failures were not my fault. 3rd attempt, I may have left large portion of vid 'empty', though thought I did 'end' it. Still took 3+ hours to export, then I ran it through again, bringing it down from 22 mins (w/oops) to actually 9 mins of footage. It is a very nice camera, with 6 axis gimbaled lens. I was holding the camera by hand, resting on my scooter handlebar, on a long selfie stick. Almost zero vibration. Still going to return it though, as I don't have the patience to edit & wait for exporting. If one is into action stuff or get O&A on motorcycles quite a bit, it would be nice to have. Here's a sample (unprofessional) vid I took this AM, at sunrise, though thankfully, sun was behind cloud.
  8. Do ... all the frivolous stuff I won't do now, more because I have no desire to deal with airports & crowded back of the plane seating. Now if having silly money, yea, then I'd go first class to Paris, to stroll around the Louvre. Pop up extreme north to see them lights. Maybe hit most of the National Parks in the USA, I missed when I did live there. Any other nature thing I could think of. Spend now a month, is very little, as own everything out right. Having house w/solar & EVs, eliminates rent/mortgage, car payments, electric bill, petrol bill. So mandatory bills are water (<200) & feeding ourselves. Even that is inexpensive, as we prefer to eat it, since do it better. Did go out tonight, all of 800 baht
  9. Y'all don't want to buy the Insta 360 One X2, or probably any 360 camera. Unless you plan on buying a super computer. I've edited vids before, on crap software/app, and no problem. The 360 files are so huge, it's mind boggling. Made a vid this AM, and maybe 20 mins max. It's 7 gigs large. I download 1.5 hr movie torrents, and they are 800 megs to 1.5 gigs. So edited it down to 1/3 original size, as 2X software crashed when exporting full size, though did say 50% done before crapping out. Now it's been 40 mins, and it's 13% done, so maybe in 4 hrs, it might be completed If it doesn't crap out again.
  10. Brother hitting the PowerBall (since I stopped buying), and throwing me $1M bone. I can't think of anything else, as have anything & everything I want/need. Maybe a time machine and go back to being 21 yrs old again. Strangely I'd being doing the same thing that I'm doing now, (chillin') just look and feel younger.
  11. Haven't read thread ... ... Why would you need to say anything, unless he brings it up in conversation ? ... Do you ask your straight family or friends, how and when they knew they were straight ?
  12. to the title ... Easy to avoid scams (I didn't read thread): ... order only from LAZMALL vendors ... order only from 'Flagship' stores when possible 2 orders/3items being returned, NO questions asked. Reason: 'Changed mind, item doesn't suit me' Quality not up to expectations, and software to edit large files crashed. The other 2, don't need now
  13. He should release a statement ... " I will not commit suicide "
  14. That will really deter people, all of 300 baht. Get rid of the 'visa exempt', and charge 5000 baht per entry / tourist visa, with that, going to support the infrastructure & national parks' upkeep. Tax money directed to where it's needed, and deterring the LoSo tourist from coming, if they really want quality over quantity.
  15. That's a bit pricey for my O&A budget. ~฿3M ... That's a lot nights at hotels. ... "Li Auto has priced its multipurpose vehicle (MPV) at 559,800 yuan" And that's the price in CH. ฿3M / ฿2K = 1500 nights at hotel If 100 nights O&A, per year, that's 15 years of hotels. Or a decent condo in Krung Thep, and can hang out with daughter half a year, non smog season. And that would appreciate. There's that long game again, good for wife & kid at least.
  16. Only means he was right all along. Nobody likes him, because they are criminals, and being exposed. Why that part of him I like. Only amazing thing is ... he's still alive
  17. More censorship in the guise of your security. The complete opposite in reality. WAKE UP SHEEPLE
  18. Well he did have the green light. Do you stop at intersections when you have the green, while in you car to check to make sure nobody is running the red ? OK, I agree, and I would have looked, and do before crossing any street, anywhere, worldwide. It is common sense. And I do ease off the accelerator when approaching intersections in my car, if cross traffic isn't already at a stand still & waiting. Getting overly cautious in m old age.
  19. Depending where you live in TH, it might be annoying enough to always have a few 1000 baht on you. Though plenty of wet/fresh markets and ma/pa shops that don't rely on electric.
  20. If you want to be stylish, there's the Max One ... little pricey at 65.9k, lower specs, and not sure if qualifies for the 18k incentive, as not on that list. They even have 2 scooter that will accept 2 batteries, for more range.
  21. Yea, I can do both, home or out, though prefer to go high end at home, as never disappointed, or regret spending the money. Had a nice steak lunch (rolling the dice) and was surprisingly tasty, only 189 baht, at a coffee shop. Lite meal, but, only 189 & tasty. I'll probably do again. I think the Danish cost 100, also tasty, and I've ordered it before. A regular stop for us, but first sampling the non sweets. Flip side, the one KaPao & rice vendor uses braised beef, and it's really good, all of 89 baht, with a side of eggs in a pan, 35 baht, if wanting couple eggs and bits of meat with your KaPao, instead of one on top. At home, that high end brekkie, and it will be a salmon omelet, cost about 220 baht, as you get 4 fillets @ 800 baht, couple eggs & a tater. And it's a filling meal. Probably cost 5-6-700 baht at AC'd restaurant, and they might screw it up. Or a bowl of cereal w/blueberries ... I'm flexible. We don't eat out that much, for 2 reasons, we do it better at home, usually, and there aren't that many AC'd restaurants here.
  22. Mine will do 90kph and only cost ฿63,640, all in & registered.... ... better research, buy smarter, be happier ...
  23. Started off on a 350 dirt bike, and make it about 100m before I hit a house and knocked myself out. Thankfully the owner of (bike) made me wear a helmet, as that's what hit the house first, at speed. Probably explains a lot, and amazing I didn't snap my neck. My one & only experience till 27 yrs old. Scared the <deleted> out of me, at 19, and not an easy thing to do. Eight years later, with no prior riding experience, bought my first, Honda 750cc. And amazingly, didn't kill myself on it, as many friends were betting I would. That was 100% play bike. (not my photo, but exact same bike) Next up, bought 1st house, and GF, future wife gave me $2000 to help refurbish the house, as going a bit slow ... BUT ... buddy I bought the 750 from, when he upgraded to a 900cc, was selling the 900, to buy a HD. She was pissed at first, but loved it when we were cruising around all the time on it. For 2 people, 900cc was just right, and plenty of power, and no need to upgrade to 1100cc. I miss that scooter. (not my photo, but again, exact same bike) Had a 700cc (?) Yamaha, POS, but good transport to/from work, as didn't need to use the employee parking lot, at airport and could park under the terminal steps. Saved 1/2 commute time. Next up, TH, and Honda Sonic 125cc. Fun little thing and surprised the abuse it could take, and served me well till I bought a car, almost 2 years later. Livin' the Thai village life, 16 kms from town, and it was only transport for 2 years; shopping, loaded up with plastic bags, and school runs. (not mine, but same) Finally bought a car, new POS Vios, and picked up Honda Wave along the way. No clutch, a bit less power, but not much difference. After we move to PKK from Udon Thani, I never really drove it, and no need, since no traffic. and the main reason we had it at Udon Thani. So it shocked the wife when I bought another scooter, the DECO SUSU, 3000w motor, and love it. Ride most days when weather is cooperating. Powerful, one gear with 3 power buttons and rarely use 3. Top end is 90 kph, and have noticed me doing 87 kph, so accurate. Usually 50-60 is top speed for me, as dog is in the basket, and don't want to dry her eyes out, and no need to go any faster where we live. Most people don't, unless on Hwy #4 Got an E-bike, DIY conversion on a Schwinn, w/1000w motor and will do 45kph, though keep down around 25kph, as don't need to be noticed, and suspension & brakes aren't exactly made for 45kph. Today was top up battery & tires day for the bikes, while spring cleaning...
