Bananas
Nah, if diabetic, I'd avoid, or at least eat with something else to lower the glucose spike. Extremely ripe are higher on the glycemic index also vs greener ones.

The Autism Debate - Vaccines as the "Dominant Risk Factor"
My observations during the scamdemic, anyone, acclaimed docs, virologist who spoke out against or posted warnings about covid, testing, vaccines, no matter the status prior, most positive, they were all of the sudden, 'under investigation', and I found their warnings all, most, turned out to be spot on. Heeded their advise and definitely no regrets about not getting vax'd as know a few that had extreme negative effects from it, as did a few AN members. Along with any of the postings, scrubbed from the internet, and their 'under investigation' status noted everywhere. Yet, you never heard the results of the investigations, and they seem to all, most still practicing, I believe, as not heard differently. Surely we would have, if any results of the investigation was anything more than just silencing them temporarily ... IMHO As we're finding out the issues of mRNA vaccines, now the free speech is once again allowed. No different if you speak out about other vaccines.

Why your beef, bananas and coffee beans have gotten so expensive
Haven't noticed any major price increases recently.

The Autism Debate - Vaccines as the "Dominant Risk Factor"
Thanks, just read the report as it showed up in my feed. Mindboggling the studies have been buried. Assuming most replies didn't bother reading the report. Typical

Electric Vehicles in Thailand
Had it the first 2 trips out, and only registered with MG, and really no reason to worry. Didn't last long, as there a CS just down the road now, on all major highways (1, 2, 3, 4, 11, 21, 32), and even secondary 2 or 3 number roads. We almost exclusively use PTT Parks / EV Station Pluz. PEA @ Bangchak or PEA, usually 2nd choice or MG (restricted to MG members). Elexa is also good. Registered on a few other, but rarely use. So far, they are keeping up with demand amazingly well.

Nurse Reveals What REALLY Happened During Covid in Hospitals
USA ... ventilate ASAP to maximize profits, and no matter, (NY ) classify it as COVID, get 3X the pay out, than incubating for any other reason. $$$$ https://www.usatoday.com/story/news/factcheck/2020/04/24/fact-check-medicare-hospitals-paid-more-covid-19-patients-coronavirus/3000638001/ Even bias left leaning Scopes agreed ... that must have hurt

83 yr old Viet Vet . Now 16 months overstay.
Guess he has no desire to leave. So far, 20k fine, and 3 yr ban, if making it without getting arrested, then 10 yr ban if arrested. Come back & ask again, when you break that 3 yr mark, and 5 yr ban if turning yourself in.

What are you having for Dinner tonight?
Lite dinner, since gainws a Kg or so, eating all the crap I did the last 2 weeks. Egg, Bratwurst, some Parmesan, drizzle of Maggie, so not really needing any crap store bought salad dressing. Do that a lot on a 'boring' garden salad. Can mix it up with different proteins, or some fruit (apples / oranges) and cheese. If I make a dressing, it's simple, honey mustard or a vinaigrette. Keep things interesting and no need for a starchy carb.

Electric Vehicles in Thailand
Thanks, nice report. Yea, I guess my O&A driving & charging style is a bit different. 90 kph, though do 100 kph occasionally, but doesn't really affect range much, as rarely at that speed for long periods, or 120 kph, as few spots where we go, that speed is even available. We tend to stick to the speed limit, and yea, get passed by most everyone We seem to have plenty to keep us busy, while the car is charging,(walk the dog) and avoid holiday weekends, though lucky so far, haven't had to Q when out on the weekend. Don't charge pass 90-95% at CS, as that last wee bit (5% for MG ZS) really goes in slow, 15-20 mins I'm not a big fan of some cars, very small back window or even tint on the windows, as like the view, as large as possible. Also a big mirror user, and was taught, if you're not glancing at your mirrors every 30 ish seconds or less, then you haven't a clue what's going on around you, especially when approaching slower or stopped traffic. One thing I like about the ZS's too much headroom, as it does afford a lot more glass to see out, along with large door opening for getting in / out of. Only reason we bought the ZS, over the EP, as only 2 options then. Same specs, just more headroom and ease of in / out, and only cost 180k more WTF

Birds in your garden
@martini OK, don't want to leave you hanging or go too far off topic, though most of my photos aren't 'in' the garden, but at least from the house or lots on the soi we own. If I can see it, within 50 ish meters, then I can usually get a decent snap of it. Anyway, some parrots / parakeets, locally, and not so local, with couple others, 'in tree' snaps.

They will not say sorry!
No, you don't ... Show her the door and tell her not to come back. Do you really live a life like this ... ... "Tried withholding money, making her sleep in a different room, stopping all lunches/dinners out at nice restaurants, NOTHING works!" ... Or worse, she really puts up with such silliness. Sounds like a match made in heaven

OK - Then WHAT News Source Can Everyone Trust?
And most others that lean left. For me, 'MSM' = 'M Stupid M'. If only exposing yourself to one biased side of anything, well, nuff said. I don't think people realize, just how much is edited on MSM to fit Soros narrative. Fox commentators, and podcasters such as Kelly point these out all the time ... but ... if you think they are fake new, and never watch, then you'll never see the real 'fake' news exposed.

Thailand hotel booking costs
Just marketing, as sites that don't include the 17 or 18% (VAT, SC or local tax), think the fare looks better, and does catch some ignorant people off guard. Not that hard to read the 'not so fine print' is it ? Booking.com doesn't both. Agoda omits the VAT & SC till final payment. Accor also omits till actually reserved page. Simply enough to just add 20% in your head to any 'room rate'. Best to always ask total price before hand, then no surprises.

Thai People Being Unfriendly to Foreigners
Most everyone, Thai, under 30 or even 40 yrs old knows English enough to converse with foreigners. They just prefer not to, and understandable, considering the foreigners they come in contact with I know enough to live rural and get by with no issues, and didn't try to learn Thai. No need to be fluent, unless wanting to engage in a real conversation with locals over 30 ish yrs old. Most foreigners don't apparently, and I think that's mutual. The 'class', for lack of better word, of foreigners that come here to live, if forum is anything to go by, then Thais avoid them as much as I do. Why would anyone want to talk to people that have little education, no common sense, no respect for you or themselves, or think they are better, more intelligent, when nothing could be further from the truth ... IMHO

A motorbike in retirement
Why we use to drive the car to Phuket, rent a MC for actually driving around & being able to park near a restaurant, so not stuck to 'walkable' vendors from the hotel at any 1 beach. Also why we stopped going to Phuket around 2010, till the scamdemic hit, and why we won't return till another arrives. Same with Pattaya & Chonburi areas, been there a few times, decades ago, and it's just too congested now, along with so many better options elsewhere to visit, without the hassles.

Trump Leaves Door Open to Third Term, Rules Out VP Loophole
Just a silly what if scenario. Can y'all get any sillier ... I can ... Why not full on, and take a page from Tom Clancy's 'Debt of Honor' (great trilogy, highly recommend reading) where a terrorist takes out Congress with a 747 ... and Trump is the 'Lone Survivor'. Could probably make a TV series out of it Surprised no lefty nutters haven't suggest he get the Amendment changed, so non born Americans can be president, and Melania wins, and he is VP.

A motorbike in retirement
When I grew up, it was simply a MC with a small (~50cc) motor. The originals, were converted bicycles, like ebikes today, but with small petrol engine. Now, I would describe, call one, an ebike or scooter, something with electric motor & pedals, to increase range, of if dumb enough, drain the the batter too low to return Though most, of type below, I don't think anyone uses the pedals, and I've only seen one gal actually pedaling her scooter. Many don't even have pedals anymore.

Trump Leaves Door Open to Third Term, Rules Out VP Loophole
It's impossible .. end of. To discuss it, or post about it, shows pure ignorance, borderline stupidity. Nothing but what it truly is, that we aren't allowed to say out loud, or it gets deleted. Again, when I see the author is in colored text, I usually ignore to topic.

New poll: 56% of Americans think Trump is a dangerous dictator
UK will fall first to Islam, and may take a little long for the USA, but it is inevitable. All Empires face destruction from within ... "In 2023, Dearborn became the first Arab-majority city in the US. The 110,000-person city is home to both the Arab American National Museum and the largest mosque in North America. It's one of the few US cities whose mayor is both Muslim and Arab, the first US city to make Eid a paid holiday for city employees and one of only a handful of places in the country where the Islamic adhan (call to prayer) is allowed to be broadcast from a mosque's loudspeakers. It is, as one local told me, "the motherland away from the motherland". Today, it offers travellers an enticing opportunity to eat their way through the Middle East, so to speak, while exploring how Arab Americans have shaped the city – and the nation." https://www.bbc.com/travel/article/20240429-dearborn-michigan-a-visit-to-the-first-arab-majority-city-in-the-us

Trump Leaves Door Open to Third Term, Rules Out VP Loophole
Why BBC is such a joke, for even suggesting Trump is thinking about a 3rd term. Which he ISN'T. Does explain why I usually ignore most posts by 'staff' on AN, realizing it is a business site, and surely they know the story is silly also ... ... and yet Already on page 2 ... nuff said

Electric bikes and scooters
Define 'scooter', as too vague a term now of days. Many have removable battery, though best to charge on one's balcony, if having, and out of the sun, or overnight. Quality, name brand battery is the way to go. Removable makes sense, as sooner of later, it will need to be replaced, although at some of the prices they want for them, may be better just to buy a whole new scooter, sadly.
