  1. No argument here, as alcohol truly is poison to the body. Even a little bit, though many tell themselves otherwise. Can't believe people drink as much as they do after a certain age, as the body can only take so much abuse. I was weekend warrior, although for a while, I had really long weekends. Then matured a bit. Came here / TH, and fell into weekend warrior again, then just a monthly warrior, or one or two when out for a meal. Last 10+ years, really cut even that back, to almost none existent. Don't even have any alcohol in the house. Stop buying by the box or slab, as couldn't finish before expiration date. Without it in the house, I really have no desire for it. Too lazy to make a special trip to 7-11 for alcohol 🙄 Never really a problem, and don't miss it at all. Most of the folks I know with health issues, are directly related to alcohol & tobacco. Most aren't even around, and I'm starting to out live everyone I know.
  2. They are vacuum packed, I think, so not a problem. Lots of time, I can't use it up by BBD, so freezing works, though portioned out smaller & will vacuum seal it. Local vendors don't have a good variety, so if stocking up at Hua Hin (100 kms away) then yea, need to freeze, and never an issue. Some, hard cheeses, Cheddar especially, doesn't freeze well, and depending on my use, may not freeze it. Of late, it's been my got to snack, so not much cheddar or others, but gets frozen, if not used by BBD. Also cheaper by bulk, usually.
  3. Best Buy Date on local stock was 01/03/2025
  4. Catching up to present month. August a bit more than Sept, Oct, Nov, and latter 3, not much difference. Only a couple days, exploring all day locally.
  5. Yes, turned out good, texture wise, and melting factor, like Kraft singles, but I wouldn't call 'single' cheese, and they technically don't. Not a fan of the extra crap in 'singles', a 'cheese product' Velveeta turned out pretty good, but could have used a sharper cheese for flavor. It was quite simple, Cheese, milk powder, gelatin & water (boiling).
  6. Especially since they were not sealed to begin with. Toyota Vios, what a POS, though, did serve me well, and actually traded in for another, since best (overpriced crap) value at the time. Got rid of both around the 125+kms mark. Low kms, as didn't trust them to last much longer without problems. I drove that one, in the water way too long, during one of those flooding water seasons. Didn't have much of a choice, and was actually an alternate route off hwy #2, BKK to Udon Thani, as #2 was impassable. Probably about 2 kms in deep water, and had to keep the rpms high, as tailpipe was under for parts of it. Thankfully it was MT, so easy enough. More than a few cars didn't make through
  7. Yea, and I just did a 'side by side' test, and whoa, what a difference. I had the ARO on hand to make Velveeta, which was probably a mistake, as turned out just OK. Tasty is nice, and Vintage is too sharp & crumbly for me. Keep Aro on hand for my 3 cheese & Peperoni or Chorizo pizza (Parmesan, Mozzarella & Cheddar), and works fine, as a sharp Cheddar is too dominate a flavor.
  8. Swimming / diving with sharks ... no prob ... 😎 As long as I see them first Only seen 1 leopard shark in Thai waters. Lionfish are way more of a concern. Bahamas... one profiling for me One coming straight at me One deciding to nudge my shoulder from behind
  9. Apparently store wide, and just picked up a couple 'Tasty' myself @trevoromgh THANKS Check your BB date, and if planning of freezing and shedding later, then shred before you freeze, as cheddar tends to crumble apart afterwards, when trying to shred. Makro Cheddar blocks are 360/kg locally / PKK, so a nice buy.
  10. I can roll with either or, but relationships, except present, never lasted very long. No major regrets, as all fun, and mutually separated, luckily.
  11. Yea, 5 whole cm, and is the measured from under the door, or under the exhaust, which in my world, is usually one of the lowest part of the vehicle. Either way, you're an idiot any driving any ICEV, or any vehicle in water touching the bottom of the car, as I found out, and had to replace the wheel bearings on one, for my ignorance.
  12. Don't knock it till you tried it ... consenting adults ... don't have to smell alcohol on his stinkin' smelly breath/body ... don't have to listen to what 'he/she' prefers ... don't have to listen all to anything ... don't have to smell the cig when they are done ... no regrets, embarrassment when he/she brags to friends he she banged you. ... don't have to pick up his/her clothes, snuggle or make a sandwich for them afterwards A lot of pluses with that relationship, and always happy to see you, never complaining, usually.
  13. Timing is everything ... supply & demand vs options = premium pricing. Considering they are working 'overtime' away from family, if having, or doing something they'd actually be enjoying, stop crying, pay, or get a hotel till rates are more to your liking. You have the freedom of choice, you just fail to exercise it. ENJOY your holiday 😎
  14. I probably read into that, something different than you intended, and yes, that was my chuckle emoji Congrats on 31 years, I'm knockin' on 19 yrs, when all the rest didn't make 3 or 4 yrs, if a month.
  15. Yep ... ICEV, unless having a snorkel is limited to the depth of the exhaust. BEVs are not. Not that I would drive my BEV or any car through water that would touch the bottom of the car. But I certainly wouldn't worry about not making it through a silly large area of water on the road, vs not even attempting in an ICEV. I think our battery pack is rated for about 30 mins of submersion, and nope, won't be testing that out any time soon.
  16. My usual brekkie, first meal, is a couple eggs, maybe with a side or protein, or it turns into an omelet. Like to start the day with heavy protein & fat meal, after my overnight intermittent fast of 15 ish hours. Brekkie is usually 1100-1200, then munch again at around 1400, if bored, then again, dinner at 1600-1700. That's actually dictated by the solar system, and dog taking me for my evening walk before sunset, so I can see the snakes without carrying a flashlight ... Maybe a lite snack at 2000 hrs. Only post photos of anything else when it's a bit different. I'd bore you with repetitive snaps of eggs+ or omelets.
  17. Every country has it pros & cons, almost all provide opportunities, you just have to seize them. More than a few countries, I'm pretty sure I wouldn't want to be born there. Ignorant nationalism certainly isn't limited to the USA. You simply have to live with your choices. I always state USA is a land of opportunity, since I was always able to work (30+ jobs 🙄) and easily provide from myself, on a limited 'formal' education, and being a LPOS. Last job was decent (13 yrs) and last the 10 yrs of that, probably why I lasted so long, I worked 2 long days a week. 2 on and 5 off to use for my own interest, play or invest my time. Retired at 45, so hard to say the opportunity isn't there for everyone, if I can do it. I actually thought it was quite easy. Have the same opinion of TH, though I'm certainly glad I wasn't born here. Wife's family are all self sufficient, most retired early, educated or not. Same as USA, I see many struggle, dealt a bad hand, or LPOS, and many applied themselves and are doing just fine. A country is just a location, and you can fall for the propaganda or not. I listen to non Yanks go on about how good their country is, and yet, they live here/TH, physically, or on the internet. Can't be that F'g good, and most, I doubt if I'd want to live in, as had my choice to live anywhere I wanted. And I chose Thailand ... nuff said and ... WTF was I thinkin'
  18. You don't really think he had any input into any aspect of the decisions during his administration. He really is, was the ultimate puppet.
  19. I'll miss him, as he gave my income about 35+% boost while there, via COLA & exchange rate over 4 yrs. Probably regret Harris not continuing the destruction of the American Dream and future boost to my income. Small price to pay for family & friends still having to live with the damage he caused, and hopefully President Trump can right the wrongs ... again.
  20. As stated a few times, depends how much driving one does daily, if using granny charger. If charging overnight, 10 ish hours, that about half one's battery capacity, for us, MG ZS, so at least 150 kms a day. If plan things properly or simply patient, the 30-45 mins at CS and you're topped up again. Location dependent on how convenient that is, and can do while shopping, munching, or just having a coffee & Danish. We live kind of rural, but there 3 or 4 CS nearby, within 5 kms.
  21. There is also a chemistry to using dutched & natural chocolate when baking. Not a problem if following a written recipe by a professional. If doing your own from scratch, and baking, you need to use the proper combination of baking powder or soda with the different cacao powders. Dutched, use powder for better results. Natural, use soda for better results. Something us ex-bakers know. Also some chocolates won't state if dutched or natural, but if stated 'unsweetened', it's a good bet it is natural. A heads up for those, like myself, who make their own chocolate, using Coconut oil, cacao powder & sweetener, it's heavy caloric load. Think I calculated 2 pieces of my chocolate, and small, is about 400 calories. So I can munch on them, or have a complete healthy, filling meal Just ran out of coconut oil, so with that little tidbit, I think my chocolate making days are over
  22. I think all 3 versions of 100% cacao powder have about the same % of coco butter, 10-12% Other brands (more expensive), may give you about 20ish %. Brown, Dark & Super Dark Chocolate ...
  23. So we're to believe, cars, Tesla, will kill you, and not the operators of them. Almost as silly as guns kill people. People kill people. No product has ever killed a person, that wasn't first started, operated, or used by a person first. A person has always been responsible for any product or machine causing death or injury. All vehicles are safe, if operated legally. People are and always will be the problem. Anyone want to bet, what industry makes sure that statistic is headline news I'm just happy, diesel truck fumes have never hurt anyone
  24. Yep, Musk is on the left's & MSM's sh!t list, ever since buying Twitter. And now aligning with Trump, it will only get worse.
  25. Yes, opportunities knocks big time there. If I stayed, I could easily be a USD multi millionaire. RE was my game, so imagine 25 more years of RE investing with the way housing prices have risen. Matter of fact, don't even have to be there, live there, to invest in RE, if knowing what you're doing. I'm just too lazy to bother ...
