Bank of Thailand Intervenes to Manage Baht's Exchange Rate
KhunLA replied to webfact's topic in Thailand News
Means weaker when you get less for your baht. Firmer sure doesn't mean stable, as it continues to fluctuate. Only this week has it held sort of steady. Add inflation & 10-15% exchange rate to you holiday spending ... NO THANKS. That's after you get here, and after the airline's fare hikes, and silly fees for added luggage, meals, seat assignment, as taking all the perks away, so I read. if they had their way, Int'l flights would be carry on only also Time for people to explore and holiday locally.- 145 replies

Deadpool & Wolverine ... IMDB 7.7 ... KhunLA 1 ... and I'm being kind. Had a couple 'slapstick' moments, and inside comments, but what a waste. Was going to stop watching but wife was paying attention. I was dozing off a bit, when awake, it still sucked. Hugh Jackman must have got a huge check or % to do that.

Bank of Thailand Intervenes to Manage Baht's Exchange Rate
KhunLA replied to webfact's topic in Thailand News
So she thinks everyone loves paying more for their holiday ... ,,, "However, Ms. Chayawadee emphasized that the stronger baht is unlikely to impact the tourism sector adversely in the final quarter of this year. "International tourists generally welcome a firmer baht against the dollar, which helps them better manage their spending in Thailand," she said."- 145 replies

Feel sorry for AN posters who bought electric
KhunLA replied to Celsius's topic in Thailand Motor Discussion
Yea, for some reason, they simply don't get it. Our solar, barely, sometimes not even produces enough energy to power the house, IF waned to run both ACs, so need to be conservative that day. Means the cost of that system, was to power the house, not the EVs. For us, we didn't even have the BEV (car). Having solar was definitely added motivation to get a BEV (car). That it does produce enough excess to power the EVs, at no extra cost, is a bonus. So the EVs are energized at no extra expense = FREE in my world. Didn't cost anything extra = FREE Maybe this will help ... "I'll have a coffee" "Would you care for some pie?" "No thanks, I don't have enough money" "No problem, no extra charge" "You mean FREE ?" -

Seriously ... I did a simple cost comparison. You did a lifestyle comparison. Just a wee bit different. Now for a fair (almost) comparison. You have a choice of 2 cars ... ... identical buy in cost ... same comfort level ... same performance level (being kind) BUT ... one cost at least 2X to operate & maintain, which would you take ? -

Well ... like you said ... so what ? If some company said, we'll give you a free car, gas, insurance, just put in your 40 hrs a week for us ... .think I'd say shove it. I have a BEV & Solar ... That's one pineapple & beef steak comparison ... 😎 What ever spin works for you. -

We're O&A more than most, I think, and have used about 50 CS (public Charging Stations), in 23 months, and only 1 was inop. Simply went to the next one down the road, think it was 12 kms away. Before you ask, have yet to Q up, and wait to plug in. One was full when we arrived, but before we had time to check the app for next available, it was free to use. And we've traveled weekends, long weekend, as far north as Chiang Mai, and south to Betong, Yala, east to Trat, and most places in between. Only made it to Nong Bua LamPhu (furthest) in the NE. -

My last ICEV would have cost ~฿6400 to drive 2500 kms If charging at home @ ฿5 / kWh, our EV would cost ... ~฿1600 ฿2700 @ CS ... not bad at all, considering the alterative ~฿6400 Also charge at home w/excess solar 👍 -
The underlined texts in my post are links to the source. Been here 5+ years, and haven't figured that out yet.

From link I posted above ... for the lazy folks ... ... facts can't be ignored ... "With the exception of RT in Russia and a handful of online opinion articles (see below), no major media outlet has so far reported on the release of these newly declassified documents. In ending the Cold War by breaking promises to Gorbachev, the attitude of the revived Russia of today should not come as a surprise." 1960 ... RU's missiles on Cuba, and how did the USA react. Just think if they, RU's missiles were on the border of the USA, in CA & MX, how would the USA react ?

I'm actually surprised, most people, my age, especially Yanks, didn't know that, as we grew up, watching on the news, and was explained at the time, (before most of the MSM was owned by 6 corporations) and just as Kennedy & Putin stated. At least up until Crimea was annexed by RU. And the why, easily found by researching, if you weren't paying attention. Even MSM can't change the facts, though they certainly hide & spin it .. and people actually believe it. That's the sad part

We renew ourselves this month, and I'm interested myself, what the total loss value will be. As you know (for others), free 1st yr insurance was 960k vs 949k purchase price. 2nd year (1st renewal), value @ 840k, New purchase MSRP price has gone from 949K to 869k down to very recent new MSRP price of 829k, with 599k promo, still going, if can find. Best value out there IMHO, for B-class SUV (BEV or ICEV). I'm thinking new total loss value will be 700-725k. -

All these threads & posts from experienced BEV owners, and you're still extremely ignorant (to be kind). Nuff said ... Not just you, but so many of the anti EV / CN folks just repeating the same false drivel. Do y'all really get that big a kick out of trolling the threads ? Along with comparing TH to other countries EV development or lack of. Nothing wrong with ignorance, as been there done that, but after 10's of threads and 100's of posts, you'd think some of it would sink in. -
Cherry tomatoes plants are producing. Wife is pruning the figs, and selling the sticks (5 for 100). Nothing going to waste, along with more figs. Honey ... When is the horse arriving ? Because this JackAss ain't pulling no plow around. Now need that fishing rod, some chickens, maybe a cow and or goat or 2 for some fresh milk & cheese Buying 2 more neighboring lots ... wonder what she has planned for those. Somethings that won't take a Greenhouse to protect from squirrels & birds 👍

Here's one of the best vids I've seen on eating healthy, which diet is best. I lean towards a whole foods, Keto ish diet, as plenty items 'approved' to fill my plate with. Just being more moderate on any treats, and eating them 'better' so they have a less sugar / insulin spike. Straight common sense eating

I've recently stopped taking a multivitamin (MV), since eating a more 'whole foods' diet. Should be getting a more balanced nutrient intake, especially since the MV was providing 100-200+ % of RDA of a few of them. Even if the RDA is a bit low, that's still pushing it, if eating healthier foods. Still take a Vit C & Magnesium, as notice the good effect of the Mg. End of the year, when I get my blood work done, I'm going to add the nutritional test, to see if lacking or needing anything.

He's spot on IMHO, and mirrors all my thought & research on the subject. I knew all that before seeing the vid. Just thought it might open some eyes. Apparently not 😎 A nice 'reader's digest' of the truth, instead of MSM BS being spoon fed to the masses. It also mirrors what Putin explained in the Tucker Carlson interview. Amazing how the facts in both align perfectly. The truth right in front of people, from two completely different sidelines, but people still believe the MSM BS

Unless you have a known deficiency, you both may want to stop taking niacin and all supplements. Suggest you get a blood test to evaluate you nutritional levels of vitamin/minerals. A negative aspect of niacin and why some suggest not taking . edit: @JBChiangRai you beat me to it, I type so slow 🙄
-
No a problem if you can tolerate it, as niacin is a water soluble vitamin, not stored in fat, and you / she will P out any unabsorbed excess. Next time, you might want to research a vitamin / mineral (and drugs) before experimenting on your body.

I feel sorry for the ICEV owners buying at silly prices for under performing vehicles that use an expensive fuel that degrades all parts of the engine it comes in contact with. Guess they enjoy paying 2 to 5 times the cost to energize their transportation every week or so. All those 2nd hand cars they won't be able to sell, as people are waking up and seeing the light ...
