  1. YT Keto bread substitute, not that I really need one, especially an expensive one. Earlier it was all cottage cheese, egg & cheese mix baked, but not a big fan of cottage cheese, and not cheap here. Now it's cheese & onions baked. Don't know about bread texture, but damn, it smells good. Have plenty of cheddar from the 2 for 1 sales a month or so back. Using some of that up. Recipes call for Mozzarella and or parmesan or cheddar, alone or mixed. All cheddar since having a lot, with onion and seasoning. One has pickles instead of onions, as another version I saw.
  2. Good news ... highly unlikely you'll get it again 👍 Yea, it sucks. Depending, maybe, when noticed and med taken, you may have postherpetic neuralgia, or not at, or just short term, or like me, more than a few more year than you'd prefer. Unfortunately, if you do, just have to live with it. I've tried most recommended and not recommended, safe and or 'at your own risk' drugs, and none really worked. Didn't try ganga, or versions of; gummies & etc. Good Luck. I'm not a fan of unnecessary vaccines, so keep your immune system primed. I personally wouldn't bother with the vaccine. Just my opinion, and even think the 1-6% chance of getting again may be in the interest of those selling the vaccine, and again IMHO. Others surely will disagree.
  3. EC are the only votes that count, and a landslide by 27.5%
  4. Never asked to verify, though seems silly to, if bank sends msg to phone # on file that you opened the account with. Unless someone has your phone & suspicious transaction done. Did have to verify me, online (phone) with facial recognition, when changing my 'transfer limit' setting. Though that was cool, and excellent security measure, having to blink, to avoid someone simply holding a photo of me for verification 👍 Other than than, as mentioned, never need to verify.
  5. Yes, I'm surprised myself, as felt staff posted mostly (IMHO) 'left leaning' topics/threads, and why I ignore most of them. Had to do a double take on the 'author' Refreshing 👍
  6. Finally agree and yep, had to work too many of those, and a couple, learned a skill at, but decided it wasn't for me, or didn't see a future in it. Then got a bit a paperwork behind me, that got me in the door at my first airlines. Which was quite tolerable to work at, and why I worked for 4 of them. Wouldn't call them career jobs, and last one finally was acceptable for a while, 13+yrs. Until I didn't need them, or they, didn't want me around any more, and thankfully, was coincidental in timing But really had to be self employed with RE also, at the same time, to enjoy the level of income and time off that I wanted. Living with choices. Another 20 yrs of being an employee would have provided an OK life, I just preferred more. More freedom of choice. I find people don't want to put in the time and work it takes for that 'freedom', then complain things are not equal for them, for various reasons, but are excuses, not valid reasons. Most have equal opportunities to succeed, some just chose not to. Again, what I see in USA & TH. So when some looney lefties goes on about inequality, repetitively, then I may dish out a 'sad' emoji. Damn, I'm always on topic, usually, sometimes, OK, maybe not, but I feel better.
  7. BINGO ... we have a winner. No different than some of my employers, in USA, treated both men & women poorly. Because they thought they could, and did. Simple solution, as soon as you can, stop working for them. Nobody is forced to work for an A$$hole forever. Live with your choices. I find all are treated equal but disrespected in those instances. I won't to know on a societal level, who is treated unequal, that they protests are about. Blacks, Jews, woman, for instance, regular complainers, again, I only have USA as reference point, but race, religion and sex is protected against inequality, and I don't see that law systematically broken. Actually the opposite at times. Why I ask, who is being treated unequal. Not simply mistreated by employers, they chose to remain in their employment. But not hired because of their race, religion or sex. My daughter has changed jobs three times, and sadly, all were hired equally, and treated equally. Employers just happen to be Aholes. Say one thing when hired (work hours) but expect more afterwards. That's inequality, that's disrespect, so she moved on, and will do again. At least she gets paid more, every time she leaves and goes elsewhere. 30k - 65k- 100k a month, and will tolerate this, till she can afford to leave, or negotiate a better contract, doubtful. Legality, they are all being treated equally.
  8. Again, it comes down to choices. A lot of people born into poverty, myself as an example, chose not to be poor. Live with our choice. My wife's family were all born into poverty. All very successful, by choice and hard work. My Thai ex wife's family, born into poverty, all self sufficient, by choice. Nobody needs to be poor, in TH or the USA, my only 2 reference points, but seems almost worldwide. If you don't like your 'station' in life .... change it.
  9. Women it TH is not a left or right issue, it's a male dominance issue. It's a work in progress. I was thinking more 1st world equality, and don't see any inequality, except the ones those complaining about inequality, tend to ignore.
  10. I think that's a fine line. I their excess are earned, and within the law, then acceptable. And I'm not naive enough to realize, there are people with excess power and such, and wield it for personal benefit. But aside from that, what other excesses are we, not allowed to have, that were earned. He's yet to answer my query ... who is treated unequal ? I try to avoid avoid labels, and the definition of are usually quite silly. I'm a Yank, and I don't see the inequality that those see and complain about in the USA. Can't comment about other countries. Women in TH, wield a lot of control, like many countries, in the family life, that men won't admit to. Happy wife is a happy life, comes to mind.
  11. That's way too much to read. BUT .. I read enough, and get the gist, I think, with this statement... "According to emeritus professor of economics Barry Clark, supporters of left-wing politics "claim that human development flourishes when individuals engage in cooperative, mutually respectful relations that can thrive only when excessive differences in status, power, and wealth are eliminated." Sounds like a communist, socialist state to me. I don't want to be equal, I want to thrive on my achievement & income. I like my toys. They are not excessive, they were earned. So, can you answer my question, instead if pointing me to wiki ? Who is not treated equally ?
  12. OK, I'll bite ... who isn't socially equal ? I'll probably agree with part of your reply, but I find it usually comes down to people's choices.. I know who isn't treated equal. Those that earn more money, and are taxed at a higher rate.
  13. I use it quite often, when bored and if I see some silly comment that has no basis, or comes from someone that spews the same silliness over and over. I usually won't comment, as the person will repeatedly comment, with even more silliness, and my commenting is wasted time, in my life, for no reason, and I'll never get that time back. I have far better things to do. I don't think I use the confused, as I'm not, or if the poster is, pointing it out probably won't help anyone. As an aside, I gave everyone on my ignore list (4+ pages) a reprieve, except for 2, as I do miss some of the comic relief that they provide. So I'm using the laughing emoji a lot more. I usually just ignore the topics or threads, but coming in on 'new comment' page, I do get to see the funny last comments.
  14. I'm so glad I'm not a mouse, as they seem to have all kinds of issue when fed food for humans. " In mice, a diet high in this omega-6 fatty acid enhanced tumor development." You may want to read studies with humans, and randomized, not observational. Studies that showed Canola oil was a bit healthier on the liver, human liver, than both Olive oil & Ghee. Which I've linked before on other threads. But hey, one more time won't hurt, but surely won't stop the false narrative that all seed oils are bad.
  15. Thais & Aussies, who also don't live or vote in the USA ... ... can we get any more irrelevant to Yanks that do live there (or here/TH) & vote While you have a laugh, I'll have chuckle myself ...
  16. From TH or when you go back to OZ ... you keep in touch with a lot of Yanks in the USA, do you ? All you non Yanks not living in USA, telling us how we are so unhappy. My family & friends that live in the USA, will disagree with you. All like Trump being President instead of Harris.
  17. I see most expats (tanned vs white tourist) on scooters, and usually without a helmet. Or in the back of baht bus, or walking.
  18. Passed in Senate, and appoved in the House ...
  19. I do stuff, DIY, but new materials, or, better to sa, unrestricted use of materials. PVC & etc. Autos, can't even remember last time I change the oil. Labor so cheap here, not worth busting my knuckles and getting dirty. Now with BEV, don't do anything but put air in the tires.
  20. Yea ...no income tax on SS now sure hurt us retirees Give it a rest.
  21. Thankfully I'll never need any of those, with all the new stuff. Along with I don't work on vehicles any more. No lead connections, melting or cutting in my future
  22. I don't know anyone tired of or complaining about him. Exposing the corruption, and trying to get sh!t done, just like he campaigned to do. Go figure
  23. Yes, same, for cutting stuff. Didn't think I had to specify different gases used.
