  1. I doubt it will be available in TH any time soon, or even my lifetime. Took over a decade to break AIS's monopoly. Don't think the local servers want any more competition. Especially if better & less expensive. Current available service map:
  2. I can relate, as we travel around a lot, and usually to Nakhon Nowhere. This present O&A, one night we stayed in Lampang, and not even in the main. Went out for a munch, and we couldn't get close to the restaurant, let alone find a parking spot. 7-11 to the rescue The only place, city/tourist spot we'll bother with of late, is Krung Thep, and only because our daughter lives there and they have barely OK public trans. That's coming to a halt also, as she's moving to her townhouse at Rangsit. Even better, as now we can simply stay with her.
  3. Same as female / male scam marriages, there will be new male / male scammers out there. Imm will probably require nude sex photos to verify
  4. Careful what you wish for. Not being able to marry would have saved me from 3 divorces, though all amicable. No financial losses at all, since already poor & childless. Said same to wife last night ... she wasn't going for it. On topic ... it's a good thing, for those that need their life 'certified'. Not seeing any benefit for Thai / Thai union. Can't see Imm recognizing it, and foreigners getting Thai citizenship after 2 yrs of marriage. Guessing the 'law' states same 'sex', not imaginary genders.
  5. Could they / news blips at least use a photo that has some reference to the article. Not something 10+ yrs old of possibly an EPA / USA / coal mining blip.
  6. In case you don't know, generals don't take the same oath as enlisted grunts, and do NOT need to follow the orders of the Commander in Chief (president). Simply preserve the 'Constitutional' rights of it's citizens. All these divisive, distracting 'what ifs' as if they would actually happen ... but ... in the slight chance one might, from foreign or domestic, it's nice to have an armed population. Why the 2nd Amendment will never be changed.
  7. Holy Buddha ... this is what people watch and consider entertainment, satire, thought provoking content. Does explain the state of things
  8. Can only assume you think we live in a perfect, fair, free world, where things never go wrong and humans aren't the most disgusting animal inhabiting it. You really don't know what the 2nd Amendment is for then ... BYE BYE
  9. Obviously my comment went way over your head. You obviously haven't a clue what the 2nd Amendment is for.
  10. Possibly the opposite, as I understand it, the bump stock makes it hard to hit your target, if not an experienced shooter. Las Vegas guy is a testament to that. Low kill count might have been the result of using a bump stock, if any of that is true.
  11. Not everyone follows K pop stars, or news of, or cares. Would have been better to say the 'Hangover' effect, as most can relate to that. Or the old farts, JB Island / Khao Phing Kan, "“The Man with The Golden Gun” Leo & 'The Beach' ... those effects destroying nature, worldwide
  12. I've stayed in a few different versions of 'knockdown/prefab' houses, cabins of bungalow, which ever you wish to call them. Even shipping container, as hotel room. All were fine, limited space of course, since short term rental. But none were hot or excessively cold, any more than a brick & mortar. As sampled during different seasons. Could easily see a few connected for a proper house. One neighborhood behind where I grew up (USA), did up the whole street with modular houses. They arrived on flatbeds, 4 pieces, and put together in less than a month. Instant house, actually pretty cool, and if a bit ignorant with constructions, you'd never know. They're all still standing today, easily over 40 yrs old. Almost all modulars, so they will stand the test of time, if quality to start with. Container guesthouse, Nan, we stayed in. Another prefab, Phatthalung, we stayed in. A couple others, of course the wooden ones, nice, but I'd steer clear of those, due to termites.
  13. What country are you or the OP from, where everyone follows the law and is honest ? They have a civil & criminal court system, along with prisons for a reason ... worldwide.
  14. You actually believe the 'world corruption index' ... Man involved in anything = corrupt
  15. Good choice since already have some Saab aircrafts. Especially since joining BRICS, to avoid any headaches or cancelled orders/parts in the future. Stay away from USA toys.
  16. Hype ??? and which do you prefer ? ... relationship ... sexpat (free) ... P4P
  17. That sounds about right, as I'm 175cm, and my Schwinn is 26", and a good fit for me. All my bikes have been the same, except one fold up, but seat and handlebars adjust to a very comfy seating/pedaling position. Surprising just as good as the Schwinn. Have both here in TH, bought here. DIY Ebike (Schwinn) and also rear hub, and keep it around 25kph, which is more than fast enough, and will go much faster, having 1000w. Your Trinx, nice specs & price. Hindsight, I should have just bought a premade instead of DIY'ing it, as rest of the bike isn't made for higher speeds; brakes & suspension. ENJOY
  18. Lampang to Mae Chaem, the first 2 hours or so is a bit boring. Last hour, you really got to pay attention, or you will have an oops on some hairpin curves.
  19. Assume 'he' is me, and you think I take the same roads, and stop and peek at everything, every time I pass through an area ? hmm. Constantly finding new & interesting things along the way, if not just the lovely landscape. Taking it all in, smelling the coffee, flowers thing, and new snaps of a new bird species. Who knows what awaits. But I know what is within 25-50 kms of home, so O&A works for us. Sometimes years in between visits, and many things change or been added. NO ... I wouldn't revisit Nong Bua LamPhu, Udon Thani, Nong Khai or most of the NE again, as lived there for 16/17 years. But as stated, it was a family thing at NBLP, and first time seeing our 3 nieces along with brother w/wife again, since married 18 yrs ago. We don't do the North often, so knocking around there is still new to us, at many areas, or been so long since there, it's all new ... again A lot of our past visits were during smog season, so a lot of it, is very new, as can actually see the landscape. Unless experiencing, you wouldn't believe the difference, and I'm amazed people ever travel during smog season. Really is a waste of time & money IMHO
  20. Diesel exhaust is link to heart & lung disease. Not suspect ... linked. (source) So yes, very dangerous, and if exposed constantly, N95 mask at least. I thought the thread was rhetorical, but you did ask with last-ish statement. I'm amazed myself the fuel is still legal, and simply shows how powerful the fossil fuel industry is, in dictating govt policy.
  21. Need to work on your photoshop skills ...
  22. Haven't read the thread, and probably mentioned already by someone with a memory, but wasn't Clinton winning in all the polls up to the last minute, before getting spanked in the EC by Trump ? T / c ... 304 / 227 votes Winning by a larger margin of many Presidents in my life time ... (wiki)
  23. I'd like to know anyone who would actually want it. It's just marketing, and a POS add-on. Unless an experience shooter, it will hinder your accuracy. If an experienced shooter, you wouldn't use it anyway. Unplug from MSM ... more divisionary distraction IMHO. Nobody who takes firearm ownership seriously would buy one, want or use it.
  24. What I was told and read also, but didn't want to comment, since no personal experience. Don't know anyone that liked it, or thought it better than TH. TH definitely a small country, as I may have stated 100 times or more, but still enjoy knocking around the place. Some really nice landscape, during rainy season. Everything green, and the hills are lovely. Popping over to Mae Chaem area today, and hope they already planted rice on the terraced fields. Had a family meet up (brother from USA visiting) at Nong Bua LamPhu, so while in the hood, thought we'd hit the N side one more time ...
