  1. Looks like the USD is skyrocketing again, to a new high ... ... since yesterday Hope it holds till the end of the day 🙄 THANK YOU PRESIDENT TRUMP
  2. We won't hold that against UA though ... This conflict will be never ending while Z is in control. No way is RU letting UA abuse it's people in Crimea, Donbass or other areas freed from UA's oppression.
  3. A helmet would have helped greatly, as the head snacking the road looked a bit brutal ... OUCH No wonder she's dizzy when getting up.
  4. I prefer to have the receipt, as a bit of an anti-app person. Less is better IMHO. Always have a ballpark idea what the tally will be before paying, and if too far off, I'd like to know if over charged, or if they missed something, as most items with be pre-made meals, needing heating, and easily missed or double charged. Especially if 2 people get involved in the process. Paying attention as they ring things up helps, as the digital display does face the customer.
  5. USA is so behind the manufacturing technology curve, it's mind boggling. USA cost & man hours to make a sub standard auto vs China's output is just embarrassing.
  6. Sadly that's the norm ... worldwide
  7. Agree, and part of that defensive driving skills, that I go on & on about.
  8. No driving ego problem with me. If people want to drive like idiots, have at it. As long as I see you coming up behind, and you get far away from me ASAP, I'm happy. And if I know there is a speed camera up ahead, I'll get out of your way ASAP.
  9. And I almost feel sorry for them ... what a life
  10. The Captiva is a 7 seater, and if wee ones, easy enough to fit 10, although not enough seat belts to go around. Bit of a moot subject in this instance, and getting ejected from the car might even be a good thing with this accident. At least one of the injured is conscious enough to report why they stopped.
  11. Knowing how to drive, and using that knowledge is 2 different things. I think most people know they shouldn't drive over the speed limit, and pay attention when driving. Doing so is a different matter, as people blow by me all the time on the highways, and I'm usually driving the limit. Anyone passing me on the highway is driving illegally & recklessly. That's when sh!t happens.
  12. How about simply died of natural causes. Not everyone is healthy at 52. Here's a hint ... "Personal belongings, including medication, were found intact" R I P
  13. Seems pretty clear to me. 8 people died, so far, because someone wasn't paying attention while driving at high speed. The usual cause of most accidents on major highways. SPEED KILLS, especially when you're not paying attention. R I P
  14. GE ... China's Haier Smart Home Company is very happy then
  15. Apples & Oranges ... Most people of Crimea don't want to be part of UA, after the coup and installed govts.
  16. Disagree, as a youngin', smoked my fair share, on a daily basis for years, and never had withdrawal symptoms when quitting. Definitely habit forming, especially in social setting, but physical dependency with withdrawal symptoms, definitely not. To the title ... 80%, I find that very hard to believe.
  17. Yea, I've seen YTs of that, and sorry, there ain't no sandwich that I'd pay $30 for.
  18. Yea, most of the time, I'm walking around in short pants, since comfy. Usually just me and the dog knocking around, few people about. If going shopping or out to eat, then long pants. Never wear t-shirts any more, or when I was younger. Always a button down collar shirt, parents rules and stuck. Had a short t-shirt phase. I don't have knobby knees, and the young girls still smile at me 😉
  19. TH tariff rate on imports https://th.usembassy.gov/wp-content/uploads/sites/90/Import-Tariff-Table_Thailand-Update-June-2024.pdf
  20. ... "has expressed her commitment to women’s empowerment" ...
  21. ... "The United States has long been the largest donor for health initiatives in poor countries, accounting for almost one-quarter of all global health assistance from donors." ... ~200 countries & territories and the USA is borrowing money to give it away .... again. While US citizens are homeless and 40 million need assistance to feed their families. CUT ALL FOREIGN AID
  22. "Do you abide by local social norms?" No, never have, never will, what ever they are anyway. Don't really pay attention or care what other people think or do.
  23. Remember when their selling points were, it's cheaper to operate, so the savings will be passed on to you. But yet, there's monthly fees for plastic, and usage fees. Not to mention, it simply adds to inflation, if you have to pay 3% and or vendor pays 3%, then to keep their profit margin, up the prices. I'm more concerned about real 'freedoms'; speech or whatever. "you didn't get vax'd, your account is suspended" "Your Senator needs a kidney, and you have an extra, your account has been suspended" "you've been deem a social disturbance, nuisance, your account has been suspended for 2 weeks" Sort of like posting on AN
  24. We are just outside the delivery range, literally 150m, as I see 7-11 deliver on the main rd, but won't drive up out dead end soi, a mere 150m. I don't mind though, as we don't eat out that frequent, and more to get out of the house, than to eat anything special. Would be nice if Pizza Co delivered. Although last time, again, got us out of the house and we went surfside, 5 mins away to munch the last pizza order. Semi rural, and traffic isn't an issue or dangerous. If living in a metro area, yea, i'd use quite often.
