  1. I'm all ears, but your so called problems, don't exist here in TH: until they sort the fire problem ... less than ICEV, and none w/LPFs the range problem ... 3-4 hrs on TH's roads is enough for me the price problem ... cost same as ICEV of like quality in TH You got anything else ?
  2. Going to have to ask a Neta V owner. I see a lot, and they do look nice, and owners quite happy with them. The ones I've talked with. Though I'm not a fan of new release cars, and why buying the ZS wasn't much of a risk, as more than a few years to work out the bugs. No diverting, the ZS compared, costing <100k more, that was the ICE version (not discounted, but on nice sale) I owned before the ZS EV. Owning both, so again, can speak from personal experience. Something most here seem to avoid.
  3. It's called ... 'I wouldn't own a MT' and a better comparison AT & AT versions. If making the comparison, then get at least close to the same. Neta V is AT only, hence the comparison, though reality, the Celerio is outclassed on the performance level. And surely a fine, cheap car for knocking around town. Especially if budget conscious, though long haul, will eventually cost much more, than that extra 143k to buy in.
  4. Yes ... ESSs topped back up (51% @ sunrise), and EV still charging ????
  5. I owned the Mazda 2, wouldn't buy again. Nor the Yaris, owning the Vios already (before the Mazda), and basically the same car. Why I chose those 2, as owning and can speak from personal experience. Good knock around town cars, but that's it. Noisy as all hell over the road. MG ZS (ICE) was a major step up from both of them, for <100k more. And the EV version, even better for performance, longevity and future operating cost savings.
  6. Got an 8 year warranty for the battery, and I haven't own a car here yet for 8 years, 7 max so far. Battery estimated (negative at that) to last 500k-900k kms, so not worried about being obsolete, since we put 20k kms on it a year, maybe. If rest of the car doesn't last that long, simply add the battery bank to our solar system. Not seeing any negatives.
  7. "Attacking the poster instead of the facts is dishonest, argument ad hominem." - Lacessit Hypocrisy - the practice of claiming to have moral standards or beliefs to which one's own behavior does not conform.
  8. Same with the MG ZS, owning both. ICE version, a bit top heavy & all weight up front. EV ... Battery in center, and it performs much better when playing.
  9. @Lacessit you already know, but more so for others. As B states, a few have solar to charge our EVs. Myself, solar bought for house only, as not immediate thoughts of an EV, since purchasing a new ICEV while house was being built. We charge from excess solar, so yes ... 'free'. The size of our solar system is required for the house, so it cost no more to charge the car. That money needed to be spent, no matter owning an EV or not. Crap days, (yesterday) solar provides enough for the house, barely. Good days, (today) solar provides enough for our house, possible 2 more low electric use houses, or charging 2-4 EVs for local driving (5kWh a day), so yes, plenty of extra, 15-20kWh easily on a clear sunny day. Add the EV to the ROI time of the solar system, and if doing 20k kms a year, as we almost did, may do this year, and it almost cuts the ROI for SS in half. Win win all around. Y'all really need to get solar, whether you have an EV or not. Especially if home during daytime and abuse the AC like we do. We've produce & consumed shy of 28/20kWh already, and it's only 1315hrs. Almost 10kWh of that, went to ESSs, as we woke up to 51% this morning left in ESSs. That's usually 70%, but I left the EV plugged in longer than I should yesterday, not realizing the sun disappeared. Going into overnight @ 76% instead of 100% ... oops.
  10. Instead of comparing to cars, none of us would want to own, let's compare something a little closer to the Neta V: curb weight of 1,151kg Yaris ... 1090kg Mazda 2 ... 1070kg Both (AT) costing more than Neta V. Not to mention, onward savings from; petrol, oil changes & tune ups.
  11. Celerio @ 416k for AT Maximum power (PS/ rpm) 68/ 6,000 Maximum torque 90 Nm/ 3,500rpm Length (mm) 3,600 Width (mm) 1,600 Height(mm) 1,540 254 litres of luggage Neta V: 95 PS (94 hp or 70 kW) 150 Nm of torque Length: 4070 mm. Width: 1690 mm. Height:1540 mm rear luggage space of 335 liters I'd definitely spring for the 143k more, and never have to buy petrol again, or oil changes/tune ups. ROI rather quickly. Along with, actually enjoy driving it.
  12. You really think comparing a Micra or March to and OGC isn't a silly comparison? Then extremely ignorant would be a better reason, for such a silly comparison. March was such a great car, Nissan discontinued it last year. March engine specs: Ora Good Cat: 143 PS (141 hp or 105 kW) 210 Nm of torque N Neta V: 95 PS (94 hp or 70 kW) 150 Nm of torque
  13. Most don't admits to officially having solar, so that's not going to happen.
  14. Wrong again, lithium is actually extremely abundant. You did finally get one thing correct, EV trucking (long haul) has a ways to go before practically applied. But please, get rid of diesel, as direct link to health issues, even leading to death from the exhaust.
  15. Already posted price comparisons of like vehicles, and you are doing an apple & oranges comparison. Neta V would be better @ 549k, but still out classes the entry level ICEVs in that price range, if you can even find one. Best you'll find in a MT Yaris ... NO thanks. Celerio, March, Micra .... no, and silly comparisons. This is TH Motoring forum, and OP is taking about TH, so other 'planet savers' elsewhere are irrelevant.

    Back Problems

@lelapin IF they do work, relieve your symptoms, great, but, ween yourself off them, as long term use is not recommended. Handy to have a stash of, along with muscle relaxers, for those times of stupidity, when we aggravate something ???? Better to find the cause, and avoid repeating if possible.
  17. Now 50, the visa is much (relative) easier, Just PP, bank info & address needed. If I had 1M ($730k USD) in savings, I might not be here also. Agree, Elite visa is useless, expensive, and only good for those not married or 50 yrs old yet.
  18. As do mine, (EV & solar ESSs) and anyone research to buy, will know this, and should chose accordingly. Soon all will be LFP, as other transition over. Anything in the future will be better, cleaner & safer, hopefully. Myself, too impatient (& old) to wait, and miss out on savings & performance now. Have MG ZS (2022) and fit our needs & transport budget perfectly. Probably last car wife & myself will own, unless simply wanting to upgrade to something, new, shiny & improved (doubtful) in the future.
  19. Yet to hear 1 argument against owning an EV, that makes sense, that owners of don't agree with already. Common sense reason not to own EV (in TH): ... can't charge at home ... can't afford a new car right now ... want a pick up truck ... on the road all the time, and waiting to charge, will cost you valuable money making time ... simply too impatient to charge when on the road, (not working) but don't mind waiting weekly to top up ICEV at petrol station I can't think of any other reasons, and most have been debunked already.
  20. There you go, again repeating the same silliness. No EV owners on AN ever stated they are saving the planet. Not contributing to local air pollution, yes. We've enjoying savings & performance, that's all. But please continue the false narrative that we think we are saving the planet. They are priced the same, if same class of cars, not the made in TH entry level JP badged crap. But the imports of same (under performing) quality JP brands, and without the incentives
  21. Probably this part of your OP, most find don't apply to them, and a bit exaggerated. "So, what old people wanted old people got. Enjoy doing your tax returns while doing your 90 day reports, begging for visa extensions while having zero rights in this country. " The rest of your above post, well, that's simply RE investing, planning & knowledge, and people fail at that in every country. Extension are simply too easy, never begged for anything. 90 days, too easy online now. Tax treaties will avoid taxes as they have ... forever. If earning income ... then you probably should be paying taxes, which you get back when filing home tax returns. Or many ways around it, as always. Why do people complain about a country, they CHOSE to live in, voluntarily?
  22. Can't wait to give them a try ... ???? ???? Might be some time in the future, as rarely go to that mall area when at Krung Thep. Hopefully a branch at Bluport Mall in Hua Hin. Miss the the Cinnabon vendor that closed down during covid.
  23. When they fall under the 'broken record' scenario, sorry, that's the best they deserve. When they post on the 'EVs in TH' thread with all the negatives of owning an EV in the UK, then yea, they are laughable. When they post repetitive vids from anti EV/CH haters, that are just plain false info or fake stories, yea, I chuckle at their silliness. Read one the other day, Luptin parking garage fire, implying caused by EV, with nothing in the story suggesting. Even fire marshal stated suspected from a diesel vehicle. Then at end of post adds, wait to more info .... after stating, probably yet another EV fire. Then when shown it was an ICEV, posts, then it probably ignited an EV, causing more damage. All laughable. How many times can you tell an idiot about battery longevity, LFP safety, priced the same, perform better, CH is not the anti Christ?
  24. I've been on the receiving end of bad/schizo women, both in USA & TH, and luckily/smartly, not married to them. They are their own worst promoter of evil bi-atches. Thankful in one aspect, as I used to be a defender of women, now, I don't believe a damn thing they say, especially if money & control is involved. Still a romantic, but one does have to tread lightly. Though married 4X, I would never endorse it for anyone, for any reason.
