Everything that's wrong with EVs ... an endless list
KhunLA replied to KhunLA's topic in Thailand Motor Discussion
Ouch ... the quoted part is a bit scary 😮 -
Back on Topic ... Nothing special, just a sausage, egg & cheese sandwich. Only worth noting for the sausage (sage) recipe (copy cat Jimmy Dean sausage recipe). If never had, well worth giving it a try, as a favorite of mine.

On that ... saw this today, pricey at $450, but pretty cool, for camping or the paranoid prepper. Bunch of other DIY versions using sat dishes. Helped kill an hour today 😂

I can't wrap my head around all the species names of birds. Some of the differences are so slight, its just silly. Even just the eye color will get you a different species. Humans aren't separated into species because of our eye color. I got like 170 different species photos in TH. Then when I see an ebird alert I have in Gmail, about a rare bird spotted locally, I think, I got a snap of that, I just didn't look for that silly difference, whether eye color, or squared vs forked tail feathers. So could probably add another 20-25 to my list of. Too lazy to go back and sort through my 1000's of photos, just to add a few, almost identical bird to a sub species list.

Thailand expects major rise in EV imports under new four-year plan
KhunLA replied to snoop1130's topic in Thailand News
I did state, '.... not the failure of Hertz rental, using EVs." They did struggle past few years, even filing bankruptcy, but pulled themselves up a bit, under the protection of Chapter 11. -
25 best countrie for retirement.
KhunLA replied to BE88's topic in Visas and migration to other countries
I wouldn't consider any of those countries 'affordable' on just my govt & company retirement funds. Not without a nice wad for an oops fund, along with able to buy out right, home & car. USA alone doesn't have a wide choice of affordable BEVs or solar, compared to TH, along with high RE Taxes and silly healthcare cost, even if having insurance. Many others are the same, and those cost would chip away at your pocket money, if any left over ... ... NO THANKS -
Everything that's wrong with EVs ... an endless list

Don't know about worldwide, but in USA, per # of vehicles affected, Tesla didn't even make the top 10 last year: *** how accurate, don't know, don't care, just happen to be link at top of search results. -

Better if OP's link wasn't behind a pay wall, might be able to read it. Reckon this is info source from the same, since also 25 countries: (noticeably missing TH & neighbors) -
Really ... hard to miss them here, year round, though they get listed as a seasonal bird. We got at least 10 within 100 meters of the house. Usually a few perched around the garden & house, and the electric line, running down the soi to main road. Always a few lined up on that.

Everything that's wrong with EVs ... an endless list
KhunLA replied to KhunLA's topic in Thailand Motor Discussion
We noticed the same here with E85, as when bought the MG ZS (ICE) designed for E85, and at the time, 2020, price per 100 kms was about the same as 91, though 28% cheaper than 91. Just a wee bit better performance with E85. Now they are basically the same price, so why bother, especially when getting about 3 kms more per liter out of 91. Besides, E85 was/is harder to find than an EV CS now 😂 Actually surprised they haven't fazed it out, along w/E20. Why would anyone buy either. -
Everything that's wrong with EVs ... an endless list
KhunLA replied to KhunLA's topic in Thailand Motor Discussion
Don't need to defend our decision, as one of the best for us. I wouldn't mind people disagreeing with me, who actually owned one, or at least test drove one. Presented facts to back up their silliness, instead of guessing and what if scenarios. What if they just STFU. Just now, we have a thread about the imports & production of EVs in TH, do we really need an off topic post about Hertz rental car experience with EVs, not in TH. Especially when it's been posted at least 3 other times. Once with it's own dedicated thread, I think. Or how everyone is so unhappy with their EV purchases in the UK, and how expensive CSs are, and not enough or inop, when we're discuss how great the price is in TH, and more than enough CS, at present. Or one of the totally false YT vids how CH dumps EVs in giant graveyard, to keep the sales #s up, when it reality, it was a couple rent a car companies that failed. Or posting from all the ignorant, misinformed that post completely false or inaccurate info, that's been corrected time & time again. Only to repeat the same BS on different thread, and nobody is suppose to notice. Some people are actually interested, wish to buy in the future maybe, or just trying to learn from the experienced owners. Instead they get a bunch of false, out dated, inaccurate info from a bunch of total F'g idiots, for lack of a kinder descriptions. People ... do some research before posting and appearing really ignorant, or worst, extremely stupid. Just a thought. -

That's pretty easy. Here's a basic mix, and just adjust to your taste (usually chili powder) after all done in the pan. I use cayenne pepper, if use red chili flakes, the go light on them, as 2X the heat of cayenne. I pass on the sugar, as the green & red pepper have enough.

Thailand expects major rise in EV imports under new four-year plan
KhunLA replied to snoop1130's topic in Thailand News
Topic is .... Thailand & EV sales & production. .... not the failure of Hertz rental, using EVs. You could repost here and probably get a better response, although that news-blip has been posted about 3 times already. -
Rant your little hearts out, as the EV fanboys, we would prefer you stop posting in the 'positive' and 'informational' thread. Especially when not on topic. Now y'all have to threads to enlighten us: ... Everything that's wrong ... ICEV vs ICE debate thread PLEASE BOOKMARK ... so you can return & post every negative YouTube and Op-Ed/news-blip.

I use the same method, as I only cook hard boiled eggs, and want the firmer yolk.

Been making these the past 3 days. Make 2 a day, so we only eat 2 a day. Apple turnovers, ingredients; Apples, any kind Brown sugar Cinnamon Corn starch/flour Butter Puff pastry squares/PP (Makro) Amounts depends how much you make. I used 4 apples (medium size) and least expensive. Since adding sugar & cinnamon. Actually best apples I've bought so far ... go figure. About 2 tbsp of butter, apples, in saucepan, soften them up for about 2 or 3 mins, add 1 or 2 tbsp sugar, 1 tsp cinnamon to start & about 1 tsp of corn starch, and continue mixing for about 2 ish minutes. Taste & adjust. Let cool down. Take PP out of freezing, trim 2 edge sides of plastic off, (make a folder) while keeping PP covered so not to dry out. Wait till soft to the touch, Add filling in center, wet the one edge lightly with water, and simply fold over. Press to seal. Preheat air fryer 200C/5mins, then place in, on greased foil, cook at 180C/5 mins, flip, and another 5 mins. If in a regular full size convection over, probably take 30+ mins to finish, depending on your oven. If wanting a frosting/icing, then simple; X/icing sugar, wee bit of milk, very wee bit of vanilla, if having, stir till desired viscosity. 4 apples made 6 so far, probably got enough for 4 more.

Chit chatting with our installer this morning, as rung me up, and asked what & why, the wife was asking about, via email, "is it safe to go up on roof ?". Of course she didn't ask me, so I didn't have a clue. Apparently small roof leak, she wanted to seal, and simply wanted to ask about being near the panels if on the rood. No issues. Point of post ... he said they did 150 installs last year. And since Jan 1st, had/has 20 installs lined up, and buzzing by our house on the way to Ban Krut to install a system. Great the home owners are so much smarter and active with solar installation, and sad the govt/grid operators aren't as savvy, and taking advantage of the free energy source available year round in the topics. Damn embarrassing really. Another thing we talked about, and what I recommend when asked 'what I'd do different ?" which would be instead of our 8kw inverter, use two 5kw inverters. He actually doesn't install 8kw inverters any more, as many ask about PEA/MEA buy back excess. 8kw inverter isn't on the 'approved' inverter list, but the Deye 5 kw inverter is. 10kw for 3 phase, if heaving. Besides being an approved inverter, if wanting more than 5kw, then gives you some redundancy, if one as an oops. He also stated, PEA not battery friendly. So if considering getting on the 'buy back excess' system, hold off on hooking up the ESS/batties, until approved. One customer signed up, and they told him no, (PKK province), if having batteries. So he disconnected till approved, which they did approve, now will simply re-hook them back up. They really don't want us to be independent of the grid, or use a little as possible. Love their power of control. 🤬

Top burner, we've/I've always referred to as 'broiler', in USA, here, I just say top heating element, since electric oven. Basically upside down 'grill'. Which I use occasionally, or at least set food close to it. Especially when making pizza. Bottom gets crisp'd on the cast iron on the hob/gas stove, then top gets melted under the 'broiler'/top burner. Did one just yesterday, meatball/under the cheese:

Is 'air quality' the govt mentoring system ? If so, it's been criticized before for 'inaccurate' to be kind, readings. If i'm think of the same site.
