  1. Don't forget, even if fenced in area:
  2. Of course CC is real. Feel free to send some of that rain down here. Be a nice addition to the overnight temps of late, and quite comfy. If not for the slightly higher air pollution, we could leave the AC off and have the evening air flow through the house. Though not the best idea all night, as RH is still way too high. But a quick breeze to cool down the house naturally would be nice. So the ACs stay on all night to knock the humidity down and clean the air.
  3. They should not be giving iron supplement to children. Even though iron is water soluble, it is still stored in the body, and can definitely be a problem for some people. Hope it states the amount in the supplement. Depending on diet, may want or to avoid. "Kids ages 4–8 years need 10 milligrams while older kids ages 9–13 years need 8 milligrams"
  4. I bought a couple kg to test out. Not so much for price, though a plus, but for reserve when I'm too lazy to go to store, when we run out. Usually have a stash of UHT, but that was silly priced last time I saw it on the shelf, and they don't stock as much, so iffy supply. Use to be pallet/skid of it at Makro, now (maybe because of price), just a small amount on the shelf. Main reason ... states makes 7 L, so I'm thinking, make 6 L or less, and it will taste better. A lot of the milk sold world wide is from milk powder. Not so much here/TH though, and that I've noticed on the labels.
  5. A rebuttal to your prejudice ... why waste my time. Some reading for you . Y'all are hopelessly lost within yourselves. Have a nice day = don't bother, as I won't reply.
  6. Went from a good find, for TH & battery industry, to ecological disaster, to now a coup The sun just doesn't shine in some folk's world Half of us will probably be dead before 1 kg is taken out of the ground. Environment report, bidding for rights, protest against, court/appeal/appeal, more bidding, then ground breaking for mining. Price dropped so far due to worldwide abundance, nobody interested in mining till other reserves dry up. How long die it take to get potash out of the ground in NE TH.
  7. Besides being the law to carry it (and it is), its pretty stupid not to have it with you, or at least a short drive away. Being it's the most important document I have, it's always within arm's reach ... give or take a few steps. You'll probably never need it .... until you do
  8. Another CH hater ... better get rid of most of your electronic, car probably, and so many other things. Turn the grid off also, as that's probably running with components from CH also. What country hasn't had some type of food scandal ? Have a nice day.
  9. Instant Pot, which they have here, but I think it was cheaper if I ordered on Amazon. "7 in 1 Neo", I think was the one I was thinking about. Decided against it, as the only thing extra it provided that I didn't already have was 'pressure cooker', and only wanted that for beans and or cheap cuts of beef. Does most thing good, but not rice
  10. And that would be the EV owners' fault that govt/utility companies don't plan for unfavorable weather with a larger natural gas reserve. That's like blaming the EV owners in TH, or anywhere, because gov't/utility companies didn't expand use of renewables, so they have to burn coal or oil for electric, instead of renewable energy they failed to provide. With that failed thinking ahead, invite 40M tourist to visit when you're still doing brown outs for lack of proper electric service to Thai homes & business. EVs been around for decades. Time for govt and utilities to step up their game was decades ago also.

    Now what!?

Remember way back when, big to do about TH & AU's FTA, and local Aussies were excited about the 'new' lower wine prices they were expecting ... .... that was funny sh!t right there TIT ... I realized it doesn't matter what they sign or say, they will continue do as they please. Which is fine be me. Their country, I'm just here on an extended visit.
  12. And if things don't go a planned ? I had a crown done at BumCrap dental clinic. Without the root canal, and that alone took 1 month, because the 1st didn't fit correctly. Come back in 2 weeks. All for nothing as it broke in less than 6 months anyway. Never sat right, as she didn't do a root canal, and the tooth was impacted, why the 1st didn't sit right, or the 2nd. Had a root canal done last year, Oct maybe, that took 2 vists / 3 weeks, and return for composite, 1 week later. So one month, also for a side incisor. Are you adding the cost of flights and hotels for your possibly 1 month stay ? Since you're not a big fan of TH, it's not exactly a holiday for you.
  13. But it fits with biden's 'made in USA' stance, even though a company with HQ in JP Top 10 states for auto manufacturing & coal fired power plants Michigan ... 5 coal fired power stations Ohio ... 5 Indiana ... 13 Texas ... 12 Illinois ... 10 Tennessee ... 4 Missouri ... 9 Kentucky ... 9 Alabama ... 3 Mississippi ... 2 Hypocrisy - the practice of claiming to have moral standards or beliefs to which one's own behavior does not conform.
  14. Yea ... what he said, especially that last sentence. How do you hate people you haven't, and probably never will meet. All too telling
  15. FAKE ... ... that's a Gold mine in Australia Try this one instead ... ... just don't tell anyone it's a copper mine in Chile
  16. Since not given the option, to not invest in govt pension, that myself & employers paid into, I'll keep being a blight on society. If having the choice, and since my investment give better returns than the (bankrupt) govt, yes, I'd rather not have paid into the social programs, and simply done my own investing with those funds. Self employment tax Soc Sec tax is 12.4% On a conservative $50k X 12% X 5% int X 30 years: That pretty much matches my Soc Sec for 20 yrs, if I was to live till 86 yrs old. 10% return would give $1+M, so about 2.5X for 20yrs what SS pays. I don't think I've ever had an investment pay less than 25% after my learning curve. RE wise, first house I bought at $24k, and worth $118k only 15 yrs later. That didn't cost me anything, as the tenants paid the mortgage. I lived rent free in 1 apt. Or when rented, paid my mortgage for the next house I was prepping to rent as I lived in it. Next house, I just paid cash. Rinse & repeat. For intelligent people, social security (USA) is a terrible investment. That the max is about $2500 a month is an embarrassment. Of course that 2 term Congress person is 100% vested with their retirement. Different set of rules for them. Social programs are for lazy idiots ... IMHO
  17. Thailand ... Hub of EV Mineral Mining "The lithium and sodium sites are proximate to some of Thailand’s most pristine natural landscapes, areas that are not only visually breathtaking but also vital to the ecological balance and biodiversity." Does it really matter where it is, being all of TH has pristine natural landscapes, and is visually breathtaking
  18. Let's just take the COLA during both, so far: Trump: Biden: THANK YOU
  19. 21st Century, most women are well aware of their 2 main cancer risks. Same as men. People leave the cave once in awhile. I do what I can to help, with sign on our wall:
  20. That's pretty funny ... ... as can't remember last time I stay at the farang ghetto part of K-buri, same as the Thais and avoid. We always stay way up or down river from that lot also. Or on a hilltop. My point was, they don't care about 'the bridge' unless a photo opt. Or car about the crap, overpriced offerings nearby. That's for the poor expats that can't afford a car or bussed in Chinese. That other bridge (Mon) further north is more interesting.
  21. Mine gets approved within 7 days, so I'm submitting later and later, as seems to be consistent time now of approval. I try to schedule it, so I don't need to do one right before extension, and IO does one then. Luckily have a local Imm office 12 kms from house that is usually empty, and an excuse for a nice scooter ride. So doing in person isn't much of an inconvenience. Can't get any easier online though, especially when O&A.
  22. Plus I know what's in it, or more so, what's not in it. House smell better than buying from bread shop
  23. Yes... and not a fan myself of the denser, drier 'whole wheat' breads. I occasionally add/mix bread & whole wheat flour (400 + 100gr) and get the same flavor, but a more enjoyable loaf. Any more than 100gr and you need to adjust the other ingredients, as whole wheat sucks up the liquid. If it's a soft whole wheat, then they are probably adding an chemical emulsifier, as cheaper, than simply adding egg or milk powder. Chemical emulsifier isn't really something you want to eat. Protein content is minimal difference of 10% or 14%, and the gluten structure is better with bread flour, since having the higher protein content @ 13% (hopefully) than AP flour. Whole wheat flour might give you another 1% of protein.
  24. Must be asking for more funding, for the ministry.
