  1. Playing 'devil's advocate' ... reads a little like, a possibility it was self defense ... "Bee admitted that his friends became irritated by the suspect’s erratic behaviour, which escalated into a brawl. He said they never expected Prayot to use a knife."
  2. Because it seems, most people truly are ignorant idiots, and believe whatever the govt, MSM, and those fact checkers tell them. Actually pretty sad. There's actually people still getting boosters for C19, vaccinated their children, wearing masks, and even still get seasonal flu shots Seriously, you can not fix stupid.
  3. No brands, and not really needed. I got my 'Lodge' skillet, most used pan, next to egg pan, from Villa Markets, damn silly price, and actually disappointed, as had to finish the surface. Egg pan, use every day, got that from Global House, very inexpensive and very nice. Two others got from LAZ, vendor no longer listed. Flat 'pizza' skillet, got online, but forget where, maybe Central, was also inexpensive and very nice. Stainless Steel pan set, got from Central or Robinson, but wouldn't recommend. Their Cuismate brands, thick bottom, and wouldn't recommend that style and brand. Really crap. Wife does have a problem with main cast iron fry pan, and a bit heavy for her. It's my 'go to' pan.
  4. Thanks If bored, here's some more critters for you. Other bugs in this album, as other album, on that site, is all birds ... https://www.flickr.com/photos/56481061@N02/albums/72157712055887353/ Click on photo, then click again, and some, most will zoom in.
  5. I'm a big fan of Cast Iron fan, use 99% of the time. Have one 'Lodge', wouldn't recommend as overpriced, and I had to 'finish' the cooking surface. Bought 4 others online, and fine. I see them now at Global House. For a wok, nice carbon steel of course, though no experience myself. We have big wok-ish pan, actually non stick, so don't cook at those high heats, and really don't see the need. I rarely do stir fries anyway. Stainless steel rocks, but make sure the skillet and pans are flat, as my one is slightly raised in the center, which I hate, as oil drains to the edge. Silly design.
  6. So Musk has only been at it for a few weeks, and has already wrecked everything Trump 2 will surely destroy the USA like Trump 1 ... ... oh wait, things were better during Trump 1 The 'blinding hate' is simply amazing.
  7. Especially some of these chilly nights lately. Thank you MMGM
  8. Let's hope for success ... news-blip just now that I saw ... 👍 If anyone can get it done, it will be President Trump
  9. Talking charging cables for phones / USB plugs ? Then I use the magnetic cables for phone. Couple of pluses to them ... ... no actually plugging 'in & out' so no wear & tear on either end ... don't need to actually look & plug in, while driving, just get close, and it will conx, and a very quick glance ensures good conx, if sound doesn't verify it already Mine have lasted years. Even my non-magnetic cables are years old. Geez, what y'all buying or spending that they crap out so early. Not sure I've even bought cables, with exception of the magnetic ones. Just used what comes with the product.
  10. Y'all mean the enemy that's 2ng largest holder of US debt.(2024) The 2rd largest exporter of good to USA. (2023) And 2nd largest importer of USA's goods. (2023) That enemy, or all the other fake MSM enemies, who's economies we're all intertwined with. Let's think about USA's enemies ? One, can anyone think of just one ? Any pending invasions, take overs, pending threats ? UNPLUG PEOPLE
  11. Pillows ... oh please I use the wife, if she's not using me. Then if she's generating too much heat, I'll roll over to lay on my other side, and use the dog Till she's had enough, will get up, and use the back of my legs for a pillow. Then we all re-adjust & repeat after a couple hours. If we're not constantly waking up to each other, including the dog, snoring. With all that ... may need to add 2 more bedrooms to the house 🙄
  12. Agree 100% Why should the USA be borrowing money, to give away, to countries that have a lower 'debt to GDP ratio' than the USA. Theoretically, they are in a better financial position to take care of themselves, than the USA, going deeper in debt to help them. Try helping your damn selves, since you made the mess, you solve it ...
  13. Translated to, making a bit closer, but not even close, to a fairer tax. A fair tax, would be everyone paying the same %. Anything else, and you're just spinning. Why should people be punished / taxed more, for simply being more productive with the finances. How is that fair ? I know what sides of the equation I've been on, and both, top 5% and bottom 50%. Top 5% is much better, even though I paid more taxes, in one year, than 88% of households earned in a year. So don't tell me how fair the US tax code is. It is anything but. The only argument people have is ... ... "But you earned more" ... "That is correct, EARNED, and they took more" Must be a new definition of 'fair' that I missed Why I left, 25 yrs ago, and don't produce any more. I don't need it, and you ain't taking any more.
  14. You apparently answered your own query ... Hickory Cafe @ Hua Hin closed ... only one I noticed serving. https://www.google.com/maps/place/Hickory+Cafe/@12.5968097,99.9553386,54a,11.2y/data=!3m8!1e2!3m6!1sAF1QipM47WEsxiNI8M-yMdA2E8DXC0Kjxu-zn9q15Z5W!2e10!3e12!6shttps:%2F%2Flh5.googleusercontent.com%2Fp%2FAF1QipM47WEsxiNI8M-yMdA2E8DXC0Kjxu-zn9q15Z5W%3Dw203-h304-k-no!7i4000!8i6000!4m17!1m9!3m8!1s0x30fdab7fed0c05c5:0x5390b2a10d584c1a!2sHickory+Cafe!8m2!3d12.5973553!4d99.9551084!9m1!1b1!16s%2Fg%2F11j53n1ts9!3m6!1s0x30fdab7fed0c05c5:0x5390b2a10d584c1a!8m2!3d12.5973553!4d99.9551084!10e5!16s%2Fg%2F11j53n1ts9?entry=ttu&g_ep=EgoyMDI1MDIwOS4wIKXMDSoASAFQAw%3D%3D
  15. NO, basically the whole voting public seriously haven't a clue about politics, politicians, who they vote for, or how the country is run. From total ignorance, to just not caring. Pretty sad state really. How many that vote for incumbents, actually research what they voted for, in their first term in office. Let along the career politicians, who run on the 'country needs a change' and yet, have held office for decades. Seems they are the problem, not the solution. And yet, idiots continue to re-elect them. Go figure
  16. All the options I've seen, are pretty pricey. If any, I like the 'capsule' homes available from CN. Priced right, BUT, shipping ot TH is a ???? And transportable, if having a land dispute Although, pretty sure wife & myself could build something far cheaper, if not contracted out, although not transportable, than anything I've seen offered. Our 'base' ~106m² present home, was contracted for ฿1.1M, just over 2 yrs ago. Half million THB builds quite a bit of living quarters vs the price of ~40 ish m² that the prefabs offer.
  17. Yet the higher income folks, as posted many times, ignored obviously, pay more than most people in the USA. Never let facts get in the way a your spin source: https://taxfoundation.org/data/all/federal/latest-federal-income-tax-data-2024/
  18. More die from the simple lack of clean water, (diarrhea disease). One of top killers of children under 5 yrs old. That's simply embarrassing and, avoidable. Malaria high, but far from biggest killer ... Lack of clean drinking water & sanitation ... Hopefully the numbers have improved, but the children suffer, probably from the immune system not up to par.
  19. When you can't take care of your own citizens, does it make sense to borrow money and give it away to non citizens of the USA. USA citizens elect politicians in hopes that they have the USA in their best interest. Let other countries do the same, take care of their own first. Many problems can be solved, without the USA going further into debt, and inability to take care of it's own. Here's food for thought ...
  20. Once again, I'm surprised at the lack of reading comprehension, or, reading into it, that was never stated by myself. Please show me where I stated he was 'wrongly detained', as I must have missed it
  21. Don't know what 'downtown' is, but most things are within walking distance, or short hop from the baht bus route on Phetkasem Rd. Try Ree Raa Resort, (resort is a stretch) though not sure what they consider a child (age) vs an adult. Also across the street, from BluPort Mall for reasonable priced dining in their food court, in AC comfort. booking.com info: May or may not get charged extra, if not requesting a bed. We find calling direct is cheaper some times, and higher priced durning weekends. https://www.google.com/maps/place/Ree+Raa+Resort/@12.5486641,99.9608787,497m/data=!3m1!1e3!4m10!3m9!1s0x30fdaa613cc1b553:0x1c6d6d41dcf742f4!5m3!1s2025-05-04!4m1!1i2!8m2!3d12.5488017!4d99.9628736!16s%2Fg%2F1hc7wtdzh?entry=ttu&g_ep=EgoyMDI1MDIwOS4wIKXMDSoASAFQAw%3D%3D
  22. To be expected as both Hua Hin & Phuket are major tourist destination, with beaches. All three, have good & reasonable pricing for services & offerings, for those that seek them out. Or, simply pay what is charged at higher cost venues. Being thrifty isn't rocket science. Though some, many, prefer convenience and can't be bothered on saving a few baht.
  23. Thank You President Trump Wonder if those funds would have been better spent on the hurricane, flooded folks at Milton & Helene in North Carolina. Instead of providing cushy accommodations for illegal border crossing, criminal immigrants.
  24. Thank you President Trump ... 👍 "Russia frees jailed US national – White House Marc Fogel, a former US embassy employee, had been sentenced to 14 years behind bars in Russia on drug trafficking charges. Russia has released US national Marc Fogel following negotiations with President Donald Trump’s advisors, the White House announced on Tuesday." - RTNews Biden administration concentrated on criminal who blatantly smuggled multiple vials and violated the law, while Mr Fogel, had a script for medical marihuana and a small amount, was left behind. "In May 2022, the US State Department designated basketball player Brittney Griner as being wrongfully detained, but did not do so for Fogel. Fogel's case had not generated the public attention that Griner’s case had garnered.[7] Pennsylvania Senator Bob Casey voiced his dissatisfaction with the Biden administration's handling of the case" - wiki
