Wow, now you think you know me. @ 67 yrs old (a Yank), believe me, nothing will surprise me. Back on topic, not a sports fan, so I have very low opinion of 'fighting sports', more than my usual low opinion of most sports. Being able to defend one's self & family, well, everyone should be able to do so, and think that falls under common sense, survival of the fittest, etc etc etc.

Depends where you actually live apparently. Udon Thani, power out during storms, and no surprise there. Rolling outages, until wife calls and tell them, then turned back on. No real water problems, 1st village, own deep ish well, 2nd place, storage tanks & pump, 2nd house, storage tanks & pumps, so no real water issues. Now PKK, and surprisingly, maybe 1 power outage, for less than 1 hr in 5 yrs. Water pressure excellent and never off, without warning, when working on the lines. Have solar now & collect rain water for drinking, but consistent PEA electric & city water was never a problem here/PKK. With that 1 exception, can't remember any outages more than a minute or 5. Impressive compared to UT metro and outer villages. USA, since mentioned, never a problem, anywhere I lived, and that's 9 different states, and 20 ish different areas served by different suppliers. Never an electric or water issue. That's metro areas and rural (hills of WV), FL, MI, PA, NJ, DE, WV, TX, TN, MS. Septic tanks here, never dumped. The concrete ring thingys, 3 or 4 rings, and maybe emptied 3 times in 10 yrs.

Guess I need to check my PO Box, as also just mailed mine in last week. Last time, an impressive, just shy of 2 week turn around. Site stated 4ish weeks, which I doubted would take that long. 11 days in impressive. THANKS Good luck to the OP

Along with the smaller districts/villages relying on the orbator and or puyiban, deciding what to spend it on. Whether funds go to fixing that road or water supply, or new 4X4 for the family ???? Seeing Udon Thani progress, slowly, and one wonders where all the tax revenue is going. Outside in first 2 villages I lived, 1 was a joke, until family voted out, then things got done. The other village, things were done and everything kept up & renovated, repaved as needed. PKK municipality, and the difference is way too noticeable. They seem to have excess of funds, as they are painting, replacing, repaving (with concrete) before I even thought it was necessary. Along with more than a few unneeded projects, cosmetics and not really infrastructure related. Actually impressive. Moved out to the village recently, and all seems quite good out here. One road needs a resurfacing, and expect that to happen, if not this dry season, then next, as all seem to be fairly maintained. Probably one of the last to get resurfaced, and just happens to be the main, at the end of our, unpaved soi. We are the only house on dead end soi, which actually has a very good white stone base 'path'. Rainy season and no gullies in the road to really complain about. Village even sent 'tree surgeons' around to remove some possible 'troublesome' trees around our property. Dead trees on adjacent property.

Yes & yes, you can, and 'should' be registered. Must be in Thai script. I've done 2 wills. No lawyer needed. Can download a 'fill in the blanks' form on the internet. You will appoint an administrator in the will, to carry out your specific instructions, if more than just succession of 'Thai' assets, which will be to wife, and / or surviving children, by law, or how you stipulate. If no will, then wife inherits or children if wife passes before or with you. Good to have a will, if they are not adults, as the administrator of, will ensure (hopefully) your wishes are carried out. Keep a copy for yourself, obviously, and you will receive the 'docket #', so keep in a secure place, and let administrator know. That's the only way to source your registered will. Without it, good luck finding it at the Amphur office.

Agoda is simply a listing site for hotels. The do offer a level of protections, if said hotels advert is deceptive. BUT, do remember, most Thai hotels are self-rated. Read the reviews, CARFULLY. Not the good ones, the 3/5 or 6/10 and below. Look at the 'visitor's' photos. Cross reference with Google map reviews & 'visitor' photos. Negative reviews about no western food, and no English speaking staff can be ignored ... it's Thailand, deal with it. I've had no negative issues with Agoda, actually the opposite, and Agoda & hotel has help me correct my 'oops' when booking a couple times, allowing me to rebook without penalty, or even getting a refund, when not 'officially' entitle to one. Read the refund policy of the hotel. Agoda can only go by what the hotel allows them to do. Unless you don't receive what you paid for; ex; come with buffet brekkie, and you got none, or rate changed on check in, or room not available. Agoda provides some protection there. Many people complain about low price guarantees not being honored. In that aspect, it has to be the 'exact' booking vs booking to be applied, and usually not the case. Always cross check with other booking sites, including the hotels own site. You'll be surprise sometimes on pricing & offers. Same price on one site, might include brekkie. Read you final charge, before confirming reservation. Lastly, if possible, call & ask the hotel (preferably a Thai), as they don't always stick to 'Agoda' pricing policy. Especially 'low price' guarantee. I rarely use sites anymore, as last minute booking usually, but wife (Thai) usually gets a better or same rate as internet postings, and usually without prepayment. Or it will be last minute, and we'll transfer funds when 1 hr away from check in, as sh!t happens when on the fly. HAPPY TRAVELS

If having access to battery, easiest to do, if having cables & another vehicle to use. 12v to 12v should be no problem. I've done in the past, and works same as car to car jumping.

Don't know what they teach in schools anymore, but they sure are leaving out much of what I learned. Along with changing things a bit, to fit their agenda. From history to science, seems it's being rewritten. Some good, most not. Remember when vaccines used to prevent illnesses ? Now they just help immune system fight them. Changed that one so big pharma could avoid lawsuits. UN establish to prevent wars, now they endorse and supply both sides. Agree, as you'll need things to fill your time in anyway once retired. Fresh market & home cooking is great hobby, and if fairly good at it, damn good eating is your reward, at the same or usually cheaper, for much better than any restaurant can offer. Aside from that, I went with photography, and sideline of that, drones. Neither require much physical exertion, unless I crash & have to go find the drone. Wife is better at that anyway. Much easier now as they have GPS. Photography, and the car is the best 'wildlife blind' you can have, as they are used to it. Can drive 25 meters up to them, but can't get 50 meter near them if walking. I've had to zoom way back, I was so close I couldn't fit them in the viewfinder sometimes. Not for everyone, but if really wanting to have a rewarding retirement, take in a village orphan. Doesn't get any better, but ... not for everyone & requires 100% dedication, or seriously, DON'T bother. Doesn't mean you can help out part time, weekends. Probably depends on past kids of your own, as I never, so was best thing ever for me, since now having the time & money. Give woodworking a pass, (termites) and a past hobby. Next up for me, steelwork, and learn welding. Have 1/4 rai garden to play with. Maybe make 'squirrel proof', little fk'ers keep eating my figs. Need to get out & about, and a bit freer than a car ... ebike, as I turned my Schwinn into an ebike, and it's great fun to ride/motor around on. Get tired of pedaling, use pedal assist, when tired of that, just use full electric. Or DECO e-motorcycle, start at <40k, and great fun, if not living in metro area. Options abound ... just need to start. ENJOY

I agree with 2nd link (only one I looked at), and we're done @ 190°. Don't do dense or hard crusty bread. Been baking my own for 30 ish years. Worked in 3 bakeries, one specializing in supplying bread to restaurants. Temp is something we never monitored at the bakery. Exact nightly routine, so didn't need to. Only started using here to show wife when it's done, as all new to her.

Must be a Nikon or Big Camera pricing, as my Sony @6400s are 10% cheaper here than USA, and surprising. Along with Sony store is same price as Big Camera here. Big Camera doesn't give you the Sony warranty. Why would anyone buy anything from Big Camera ... Best to shop elsewhere. Just checked, and Sony @6400 is same price @ EC-Mall, when in the past, they were about 10% cheaper than Sony Store. If looking at Sony, buy from Sony, for better warranty & points for free stuff. Sony or Cannon, they'll be here 10 yrs down the soi, not sure about the others. Better research = Better shopping experience

Live in fear, avoid everything you read about, be miserable, and live what ... 5 more years, maybe, if not mowed down while crossing the street. I did a couple insurance surveys, lifestyle for life expectancy. Lied thru my teeth, and checked off every good eating / drinking and life experience possible. Lied thru my teeth, and checked of every negative way to eat & live. Was honest and the results, were simply < 5 yrs, both directions. I eat & do what I want ... I'm happy not living in fear ????

Really ... and your 1st hand experience of it NOT being the case. Or even a friend of a friend's uncle's grandfather having a bad experience with their EV in Thailand will qualify. Yet to hear or read 1 negative experience of EV in Thailand that wasn't 'user error'. What if, what if, what if ... ???? Buy a car that takes E85, then get back to me. More charging stations in Krung Thep not being used, not having a Q, then PTT stations selling E85. Or on the main inter-province highways. Troll on ...
