Do any Farangs actually choose to live in Isaan?
Yea, me, as I couldn't leave because of the kid I was raising. Or I would not have been there. People worldwide live in areas other than their 1st, 2nd 3rd, 10th choice, when following their heart, or money. Do you think I really wanted to work at Newark or Detroit airport. Or even Philly airport ? Hell no ... but that's where the money was at the time. First moved to Udon Thani because GF/Wife's family lived there. Realize that was a mistake pretty fast, wife part, and divorced quite fast, but stayed to raise the wee one. She kept me busy, and 3 months a year O&A was enough, to not go insane, along with local outings, as much as possible. Get along the edge of the plateau, and it's quite interesting. Staying in the metro area, NO, boring as hell, except an afternoon lunch outing, or dinner after school pick up before heading back to the village's tranquility. Which I even lived outside of that, and always do. Once out of high school, we (new wife) were gone almost instantly. Kid off to Uni. I need to be near moving water, river or beach, and some nice hills, but most importantly, less congestion. But not away from everything. PKK is nice mix of everything.

Thermal runaway dangers that seem to be overlooked!
As stated many times, we, EV owners have no control over gov't stupidity. Most of my energy for our EV comes from solar. My reply to the post wasn't about CM, energy source, but simply correcting misinformation, of time needed to travel, and easy of charging along the way. But feel free to interject irrelevant info into the conversation as you see fit. It's irrelevant, so yes, I ignore it, actually, didn't even notice the CM reference ???? edit: apparently I didn't ignore it, as you didn't post it, in this thread, as I just reread you postings, and not mention of coal.

Thermal runaway dangers that seem to be overlooked!
Don't think I stated otherwise, and stated, many times, EV's aren't for everyone. But please don't tell us what they can't do, without knowing what they can do. As the poster I replied attempted. I simply pointed out his error in thinking. Trying to educate, not convert, although it would be nice, and appreciated. And if you really want to be picky, some of that energy along the UT-BKK route, might even be coming from 'renewables', along with most from nat. gas.

Thermal runaway dangers that seem to be overlooked!
Pretty sure they are not using diesel to generate electric. Probably natural gas, as the predominant fuel used in TH. Never said EV user are saving the planet, just not contributing to the local vehicle exhaust that has a direct link to respiratory health. I bought my EV strictly for savings & performance, as did most. But feel free to bang on about nothing ... again, and again, and again.

American Man Rescued From Drowning at Phuket Beach
Karon Beach is the worst, that I've experienced. I had trouble getting out of 'waist' high water one time. It was just pulling on me, quite surprisingly, and my legs are probably my most developed muscles (years of cycling & track), or used to be ???? I never went back in the surf again on that beach ???? I see Patong beach still had red flags out yesterday, so guessing they were out on Karon. You can't fix stupid.

Lopburi homeowners swing into action against monkey invasion
I'd kill the first monkey I'd see at my house. I chase the pigeons with my drones. Local monkeys surfside have become a nuisance already. They destroyed one of the gov't buildings, to the point, they abandoned it and worked elsewhere. https://thairesidents.com/local/monkeys-take-over-prachuap-khiri-khan-town-hall/

And ... care to share ? We know, you're not a doc and no lawsuit to follow, as due diligence to follow any thoughts, as always. But clue us in ... please. Cipro gives me a headache, so not sure if more intense if a double dose taken.. But if results seen in first week, then I'd be game to take for a month. Get an ultrasound and see if prostate was shrinking.

Joe Biden makes history by joining UAW picket line
Is that rhetorical, as you're asking the wrong person, as I don't care. I support Biden in 2024, as worked out best for me so far, so keep that high inflation/COLA coming.

Joe Biden makes history by joining UAW picket line
You can't fix stupid. Wonder if a lot of that profit is maintenance related? How much of that is due to their truck lines, which they do excel at. Along with many of the sedans, some trucks, are joint productions with Japanese automakers. Not exactly coming out of Detroit. They learned that lesson 'if you can't beat them, join them' a long time ago. Remember buying my Ford Escort ... and thought I was in my previous owned Mazda 323 ????

Yes I know, and probiotics should be taken during and after antibiotic use.

Best solution for enlarged prostate that blocks urinating
That would be Cipro ... describe massive ? Normal dose for UTI: "Oral: Immediate-release: 250 to 500 mg orally every 12 hours for 7 to 14 days" I'm reading some dosage for other things, 750mg for 2 weeks to 2 months, so how much more did you take than 750mg 2X a day. 3 months is a really long time for any antibiotic, did you notice results within the 1st week?

American TikToker condemns Bangkok taxi driver for trying to rip him off
Silly vid, as no info whatever. Looks to be night-ish time, and no reference to where they are. Short trip, long trip, and what's the chance of getting a fare back to where the taxi prefers to hang out. Many times their non meter use is justified, sometimes not. Against the rules yes. Applicable rules aren't always fair to the taxis. Wouldn't surprise me if the tiktok'er picked a worst time, far distance, just to say 'rip off' and get clicks.

EVs Might Not Cost A Butt Load Soon

Is there one in TH, or just MY?- Cheapest prices you have paid last 12 months

- Thermal runaway dangers that seem to be overlooked!
Wrong... there's plenty of infrastructure/charging stations. See below. It wouldn't take me much longer in an EV vs ICEV, as I would stop along the way. Once, maybe twice as it's over 8 hrs, if leaving now overnight, maybe up to 10+ if leaving tomorrow @ 0800 (Gmaps). It's only 564 kms from Central Plaza UT to T21/Asok. One stop would be mandatory, for petrol, along with a piss & munch. EV ... mine would require two 30 ish minute stops, to top up to 80% again. So reality, only one extra 30 ish minute stop. But feel free to believe what you want. Would be easier simply to say, EVs are for you, as you wouldn't look so silly. Stated many times, EVs aren't for everyone. Feel free to pollute with your diesel. Do you know anyone with asthma or respiratory issues ... thank you for your contribution.- Thermal runaway dangers that seem to be overlooked!
No energy is perfect, from: ... battery fires ... generators (all) exploding ... dams collapsing ... oil leaks, spills, fires ... coal burning, mines cave ins ... natural gas explosions ... refinery fires (Philly, PA, USA had a huge one) Nobody can argue, when in use, EVs aren't better than ICEVs, especially diesel, considering all the death and or health issues they've caused, due to simple local air pollution.- Palm Sugar: Thailand’s More Delicious Alternative to Refined Sugar
I have one, and does make excellent ice cream, especially chocolate. But without the 'additives' and low temp freezer, the consistency/smoothness is hard to get, unless you let it thaw a bit before serving. That's always uneven, except for the first servings, before it freezes solid. Swensen's is quite good, and may even be cheaper, with member card. We hit it every other week for usually 2 scoops each, on Tuesday's 2 for 1 member discount. Wife gave up 1 of hers yesterday ???? Actually healthier for me, as if have at the house, hard to pass by the frig without taking a scoop. Fruits are hard to add, and seem to crystalize too much. But add pie; apple or pumpkin worked out really good. Something Swensen's doesn't offer. Do have Blueberry or Strawberry Cheesecake which is good, and occasionally get some pieced of pie crust. I think I ate more when I made my own. - Pubcycle X
