Mitsubishi fan, 7 so far, flawless. Just bought 2 for the house build. Sticking with what I know works. No hassles ... priceless

'Other' would imply something else is important. 'None' implies, nothing listed, or can think of anything about the virus is important. Don't care if tourist ever come back, prefer they don't so keep all restrictions Don't care about mask wearing, because I rarely do Don't drink alcohol at restaurants or visit bars Don't even know when the curfew is, as not a night owl. If any, would be the silly mask requirement. Only wear to enter 7-11, Makro & HomePro. But certainly not important. Just not as silly as some people wearing mask in car. More just embarrassing people are that ignorant.

Buying a cost effective SUV for 2022
KhunLA replied to Optimistictoday's topic in Thailand Motor Discussion
That's a lot of hp for 1.5L (243). And a Hybid. Priced right also ???? One to consider, if & when I'm done with the ZS. Competition is a beautiful thing. Should bring some of the other silly priced offerings down. -
Sugar isn't the bad guy, or even fattening, 1 tsp / 16 calories. Too much may be an issue with some folks. As with everything. MODERATION

That little extra does add up. If keeping up with USA Soc Sec program, those increases, for me, have totaled just shy of 50%. The difference between easily qualifying for marriage vs retirement visa, on monthly income statement. IF it stays above ฿33 / $1 USD, and that's a big if. Not that I'm getting divorce or need to change anything. But for a single person, could mean the difference between staying in country full time or as an occasional visitor. Past plus new 5.9% coming January 2021:

Buying a cost effective SUV for 2022
KhunLA replied to Optimistictoday's topic in Thailand Motor Discussion
Yea, what up with that???? Communication / translation issue when we bought, and wanted a spare, somehow that turned into a full size, mag'd tire ???? When picking up car, and different sales rep, looked at me crazy, why not buy spare ? huh. Quick google and yep, offer for 1000 baht less, than full tire, so in the long run, full size will work out about 1000+ cheaper, as when replacing tires, only need 3 tires, and will keep a 'used' as the spare. Surprised the spare was that expensive in comparison, 6 ish vs 7ish k baht. And, we got the mag wheel. Only difference, rear trunk shelf on 2nd tier now, which, due to my 'not the best' back for bending, would be there anyway, and still allows space for the small floor jack resting under with the tire. We still don't use full cargo area, so no loss of 'needed' space. -
CC & a thrifty shopper is 2 different things, in my vocabulary. I can afford / buy any vehicle I want, within the 2m region, I just prefer not to. I don't want to buy options I simply will never use. Don't need a large vehicle (2 people / 1 dog), or a 1.5+ size motor. It's still simply a machine to get me from point A to B. Out & about quite often, so want something a bit more comfy than entry level <600k price range. Advantage to keeping it realistic, I get to park in a normal size slot, whether on a lot or curbside. I can spend 2m on a vehicle I don't need or will fully utilize, or I can buy a practical, comfy SUV for 700k that actually exceeds my needs, AND build a house with the other 1.3m, which I'm actually doing. In my vocabulary, that's called intelligence. I would look pretty damn silly, buying a 7 psgr Fortuner, and then renting a 40 meter room to live in. Who would that impress ? Oh wait, the money spent to build a house, instead of renting, pays for itself in the long run, and the 700k SUV is free from the saving. AND ... IF wanting, I get to sell the house, and get all my money back, and then some. Been doing that for 20+ years here, so my housing and vehicles, have been basically FREE. Building my 3rd house now. 1st paid for the 2nd, and the 2nd paid for 3rd and all my past vehicles. Everyone has choices, pick the ones that works for you.

Moderation is the key. I eat what ever I want, when I want, although do know to put limits on some things. Actually, do most of my own cooking, usually from scratch (baking) so control intake amounts of sugar & salt mainly. So enjoy a few less healthy pleasures, but in moderation. Not anti anything, but know not to overdo any one food group, except veggies, as don't think you can eat too much of them. Once you do that, and then buy restaurant / store bought prepared foods, you notice immediately the extra content of sugar & salt they use. Sometimes, way OTT. After a short learning curve, you become a much better cook than the so called 'chefs'.

What Hospital for Tinnitus treatments here in BKK ? . . .
KhunLA replied to oMega69's topic in Health and Medicine
Which 'get rid of it' solution of the 100's touted worked for you ? Tried a couple, none worked, as I suspected. Haven't seen on 'permanent' solution written about in a medical journal. -
A nightmare is unfolding.....
KhunLA replied to Will B Good's topic in Real Estate, Housing, House and Land Ownership
They do have noise laws ... good luck. Dealing with a similar situations, a very small, smelly, illegal. chicken farm next door. It IS being sorted though, and he's been told to shut down. Next ... clean up and covering the soil with fresh dirt. Hopefully done before house is finished.
