  1. So, he set a fire to a sugarcane field that he doesn't even own ??? It's not the usually burning off the excess before harvesting ?
  2. It seems YT has taught the world how useless PoPo really are, and if brazen enough, you can do what ever you want. Off topic ... hard to argue relying on the 2nd Amendment if owning a business in the USA. Would think a lot more YT vids of criminals being capped, instead of clearing shelves would have a nice effect, on safety in shops 🙄 Probably against YT policy as 'promoting violence'
  3. How is "the safe standard of 37.5 µg/m³ consider safe ? I turn on our air purifiers when it goes into double digits. They keep it well below 10, if on 0-1-2 µg/m³, unless we're cooking something. When in the real world, it much lower. Even the highest is 1/3 of what Thailand considers safe:
  4. Agree with the gist of the OP, the 'extremist' didn't do the 'cause' any justice, after finally getting some acceptance 'socially'. Though I still haven't a clue, what the LGB folks need to fight for, what freedoms they are denied in the workplace. What are these, and why even a topic in the workplace ? ... suppression of gender-critical viewpoints ??? ... restore protections for freedom of speech and conscience ??? You go to work, you do your job, you go home. Who cares what you sexual preferences are.
  5. 'Never been', but Saxophone Pub always gets a mention from folks. Only reason I mention, is because Koh Mr Saxman plays there, and he quite good. Seen him many times at the Hua Hin Jazz festivals. Only problem, his sets are usually very late in the evening. Familiar with a couple other groups that play there also, and decent.
  6. Thanks ... as that crossed my mind as I was making my coffee this morning. Remembering how bad the coffee was at StarCrap, the one and only time I sampled. Although that was 25+ yrs ago, I've not read anyone say anything good about their coffee from the outlets. It must be the way the outlets make it, as the beans themselves get decent reviews when comparison reviews are done on YT. @ 16 mins of this vid ... Definitely agree with Dunkin's coffee, as use to be a favorite of mine at Udon Thani, and the gal always brewed a fresh pot for me. 😉 Although I prefer a darker roast of late. Don't Yank bash, I'm sure 'yours' is probably better 🙄
  7. To compare EVs of 5 years ago to today's is a bit silly. Tech has improved so much, and will continue as we see the batteries with more range, lighter, cheaper coming out. They've improved and gotten less expensive since we bought our, just over 2 years ago, and that was a nice upgrade from the previous version. Older versions have racked 100s of 1000s of kms, even the 1M mark.
  8. for only 75 baht more, you might as well get the 9L one https://shopee.co.th/Megaomei-Air-Fryer-เตาอบไฟฟ้าเครื่อง-All-in-One-ไม่มีพลิกอัตโนมัติในครัวเรือนหม้อทอดไฟฟ้าขนาดเล็ก-2024-สไตล์ใหม่-i.1326230612.27016404860
  9. I own a MG ZS (IP67 rating ) ... I'll never test this ... but ...
  10. @jimmybcool As an aside, and more relevant to a golf cart type EV, our E-MC, has NMC chemistry, I think, and I've seen estimates of 500-1200 cycles. That powers a 3000w motor. It's 3.5 yrs old, and really haven't any noticeable degradation. Probably has just <7k kms on it. I expect to get at least another 5 years out of the battery. Battery itself is 72v50Ah = 3.6kWh. New upgraded model is 73v58Ah, but LFP chemist4y👍 Have priced a LFP replacement between 15k-20k baht.
  11. It will depend on the chemistry of the battery. Here's a comparison, old, and new chemistry (LFP), that most newer BEVs use. Supposedly a conservative estimate for LFP batteries, as some state, will last up to 10k cycles, so 2500 is pretty conservative, if not damn negative number. A cycle (1), if you don't already know is 100% charge. So if you run down to 50% one day, recharge, run again down to 50%, and recharge, you used 1 cycle. The red text, is 'our' car, and my ball park estimate of life, and still retaining 70 ish %, to be on the negative side. We average about 20k kms a year.
  12. I'll just address the first, highlighted part, as the rest is too silly to bother. Electric has risen maybe 25% in 25 years, since I've been here, and most of that, has been the last 2 ish years. The grid has gotten better every year since arriving.
  13. It would be for me, even if needing to top up or just enough to feel comfortable, once at Rayong. A more comfy, better performing vehicle at less operating cost. Anything else is irrelevant IMHO Should be no hassle at all to top up.
  14. I have a hard time paying more than ฿60 for a Cappuccino or ฿50 for and Americano. Best local Cappuccino is only ฿35, but don't go there often, as they don't have pastry, and nothing to 'see' there. Since brother is here, somewhere, next week I might actually pop into StarCrap @ ICONSIAM, and more for the view than the coffee. Think a Cappuccino is ฿165, although, it's almost 3X the size of what locals serve up.
  15. Feelin' lazy, pizza bread in the air fryer ...
  16. Comrade Mickey Stotch .. is the only one I watch, and not when he's in Bangkok, just doing food. When he's O&A in different places, like now, doing camping up North. Actually motivated me to pop up after rainy season starts; Chiang Rai, Fang, Golden Triangle. Haven't been above CR since 2009. Worse, it's always been smog season, so missed quite a quite. That will probably be my last trip up North, which I thought I had already done 🙄
  17. Does come in quite handy. But agree, using it all the time ... hell no. I need proper websites with real info, not crappy mobile sites, along with a real mouse & real keyboard. Though speech to text comes in handy when I need to use the phone.
  18. Not far from reality, except they use "Aircraft aluminum speed tape" And in comes in a roll, similar to a roll of duct tape. Cracked my up, the first time I saw an AC mech. applying it
  19. Quite the opposite, as the cabin sits over the battery, which surely has a much superior, stronger build, for the very fact of protecting the battery. Think before posting
  20. If paying attention, I unplug mine once in the 80% range. Try not to go under 50% before plugging back in. Easy for me, as I really don't use a phone much, unless O&A.
  21. Just a note, for longer battery life, you probably shouldn't be charging to 100% all the time.
  22. A van in the top 5 is a bit of a surprise, especially starting at ~฿2M price point.
  23. Nah ... no worries. Only went from ~฿35 to ฿30 / $1 during his last administration. Can't see him repeating that again, especially with a <2% average inflation rate over 4 years. I can deal with a 15% loss. Just consider it a contribution to my brothers, still stuck in USA hell
  24. Anything that has a camera, and my preference is a Sony camera sensor in it. Also means, you don't have to go high end, as many manufacturers use Sony sensors. Even my low end POCO (Xiaomi) phone, and my main low end vid drone. "The POCO X3 and X3 NFC have quad rear camera set-up with 64-megapixels Sony Exmor IMX682" " SG906 Pro 2 review: ZLRC’s Best Drone Yet - 4K HDR camera with Sony IMX179 image sensor" Got to read the fine print when researching products you plan on buying
  25. Welcome to the US Congress ... part of a worldwide franchised, though may be branded differently in your motherland. Subsidiaries under the umbrella of 'Bilderberg - Davos Group Ltd' and puppeteering Parent Company of ????
