I'm in heart of Makati right now. I got mixed feelings but not scared to walk around here WITH my local gal as guide. I wouldn't do it alone after dark. This suppose to be "the best and safest area" according internet guides etc. It's not safe on the edge of Makati. GoGo bars and gals are every where here. Very very young chicks are openly offering "anything". Makes me sad to see so young ruining their life.. People are friendly but everyone in business try to scam you! GRAP has written guarantee "NO extra charges" and yet I had to pay 45PHP extra for "parking tolls and calls" which never happened. I let it slide, only 0.80 cents usd, but shows how they are. He was charming friendly talking guy w/o any pride... Hotel tried same but I had written payment bill. I booked via net. First I got worse room on 2nd noisy level but after saying "if I like I'll stay 2-3 week", which was a lie, I got hi up quieter room. Hotel is a joke; No soap, No shampoo, N0 kettle, No water, nothing! Closet size empty box with worn out everything. It's fully booked year around and I was lucky to get a room. It's only $ 30/nite which is cheap for Makati. 7/11 is always full and people cut you off, friendly and smiling way, if you leave little room ahead of you! I hate it but have to get used to it. This is like Eastern Europe 🙂 except there they don't smile.. My last trip was at Christmas time and a major disaster. This is going well so far. I don't enjoy yet but once I find an island someplace to go to relax I may. PS. Pinays are getting seriously over weight. Fat chicks rules! I only like thin ones and was lucky to find one 46kg babe who likes "only older men". In general, Thai women are much more attractive on my book but also getting fatter every year. One thing I like here a lot; Everyone speak some English! 5 to 40 age group very well. It's their 1st language to communicate, my gal told me. PPS. The weather is very nice: Cool 25 night, 28 days and not sweaty. Overcast, no hot sun. Pollution only 67 - very low.

If I use Skype to my bank and/or US Gov do they know it's not a regular phone call? Or, can I make Skype to show my US phone number? I use laptop and have VPN. Just starting to learn these.... never used yet.
