Got 2 last 3-packs at Central BigC 34 B/ea. Type "2 blade". Very happy, works great. Asian's have "steel wool" (only God knows why...) Thanks a lot!

Thanks! With hose out it IS more efficient. If you got the place for it why not to use it? Will be much better. But to draw hot air from OUTSIDE, like 30-33 C, is plain stupid... Pic #2

So, I got ExpressVPN. $99 for 15 months. A good deal. Now a problem; every time I try to use Google it asks that stupid "security" question w pics. On both, Firefox and Google. Any way to correct that? I also need to find free channels all over the world to see my favorite sports. Keeps my Alzheimer brain busy. "Get VPN" is easy to say like it's all your need to do... It's just a baby step but I'll get there.

I've done many to increase value when selling and because I'm very sensitive for noises. The cheapest and fastest way is to add 1-2 layers of maximum hardness material. Hard drywall, plywood, stone etc. You glue it on with modern adhesive, no screws or nails. More extensive is something like this; https://www.familyhandyman.com/project/how-to-soundproof-a-room/ Note the air gap inside! Also, minimum of contact points between layers. Bad neighbors can ruin the life. Many times better to move!

"Well that's fine but the exhaust air which is supposed to go out the window also comes from inside the room. So on the one hand the AC unit is cooling the air in the room and on the other hand it is exhausting some of that cooled air out through the window." You got el cheapo model - no hose out from the box and window. No good.

Too bad they don't sell US window units here, or I haven't seen one. They are cheap, works well and easy to install on window. https://www.acehardware.com/departments/heating-and-cooling/air-conditioners-and-coolers/window-mounted-air-conditioners

Thank you! I go to see more brands. PowerBuy had TCL and other unknown brand. Sales people knew nothing what it is and how it works... I learned floor models on AC forums a little. The reason I want this is we're selling the unit where I use it. I want to take it with me. PS. Have designed and installed two large whole house AC systems in California so I know them well. I used the best; LENNOX. Floor models are new to me. Never seen before. I also know "swamp coolers". Does absolutely nothing in hi humidity place like here but still in use in temples.

Thank guys! "Tip: The 2-blade model gives a better shave than the 3-blade model." - That's what I found out too! I go to get them. If not available, I go for 3-blade. Me, and my gf, -;) will be smooooooth soon...

I've been looking to buy floor AC units on wheels. The one that's vented outside, single hose. The room is small, only 25m2. I think 9000 BTU should be enough since I like hot, 26-28 C. I found one for 6500B and 12 000 BTU for 9500B. Also, do they help to reduce humidity? That's bothering me most. Are they any good?

I only find Blue and Green and they are not good. I also tried other brands like Gillette, same junk... Thanks!

"Is that the case? A medium/large pizza in Dominos in Pattaya is US$ 4.80/6.25. How much are they in the US/EU?" Here's the answer how much pizza buyer must work for it; "The hourly minimum wage of Thailand (1.26 USD) is way lower than that of the USA, which is around 7.25 USD."
-
There's SuperRich on 1b level at BKK. Well hidden -:) They got very good rates too. https://superrichairportlinksuvarnabhumi1.business.site/

You who like pizza may have an answer; Why is Pizza more expensive here than in the US or EU? I don't know any other food being so.

Good! When I had that problem couple of times I investigated why and the reason was battery inside got pinched and it shorted out. That causes laptop to over heat and shut off. There are reports of this. Now I be sure cooling air vent is on clear area and I only use my laptop max 1h at time if in hot room. And be sure I don't pack it tight so it doesn't get pinched more. So far, about 2 years, no more shut off problems.

TM30 question when taking a holiday
GypsyT replied to DonniePeverley's topic in Thai Visas, Residency, and Work Permits
"If you leave and allow your permission to stay to expire or it is cancelled by leaving without a re entry permit you will be coming in to Thailand with a new visa and then a new TM30 needs to be done" I guess that means after every visit to Vietnam to pick-up a new visa-free 30-day entry I need to to do TM30 report? I forgot to ask that when I was there last time. -
I got my MacBookAir to come back this way; "Unplug the laptop from the charger and peripherals. Hold down Shift + Control + Option and the power button for ten seconds. Let go of all keys and reconnect the charger. Then, press the power button to boot your laptop."

eVisa for Vietnam for Australian
GypsyT replied to DrJack54's topic in Visas and migration to other countries
If you can make Phu Quoc island your destination you get 30-days w/o visa. "All foreign nationals can travel to Phú Quốc Island without a visa for up to 30 days" -
"What about the old farang who used to clean the Jomtien beach every morning ?" He's still there. Driving funny looking small Daihatsu 3-cyl pickup. His donation box is front of "Beach Surf" (?) restaurant. He does great job and has amazing life story to tell. Just ask.

We just got True fibre. Very thin wire, no box. Goes straight to the router. Your "big box" may be from the old coaxial cable system? We had that, no longer in use. We had to pay 1000 B CASH for work. PS. Internet is good.

"Driving etiquette and respect for traffic laws in Thailand has to the worst in the world. Either ignorance or just plain stupidity" I wouldn't be so harsh. I give Thais lot of respect they stay friendly, cool and give others room in any situation. I've seen lot of road rage in many countries for less jam. Thais don't even honk! The stupidity comes from poor traffic planing and so often missing lights. They are not ON.

"Recently a rule was introduced that limits visa-exempt entries to a max of 90 days in a 180 day period starting from the first entry." Two days ago I asked this at Jomtien 1st processing step. She said "3 visa free entries Plus 2 extensions OK" That's 150 days. Works fine for me. However, I believe it's the imm agent who has the last say.

"Just curious, is there a procedure to shrink a male penis? " Maybe this will work: I had black friend in LA who had a "weapon". How do I knew? Went to public Scandinavian sauna naked. One time I asked jokingly; "Any advice how to get 'Louisville slugger' size, like yours?" He; "It's easy - just make a mark on table and cut excess off!"

"Even though I'd blocked them the same numbers kept coming back time and again, phone and SMS, only solution I found was to remove the sim card. " I had same problem but found easier trick that works: switch OFF and use ON only when calling..... Been like that for 2 yrs. Zero spam calls -:)
