Body of Man Found with Throat Slit in Apartment, Najomtien
JimTripper replied to Georgealbert's topic in Pattaya News
Looks more like a prison then an apartment. -
When I lived rural I thought it was "easier" to live alone. Not 100%, I still needed food and water, vehicle repairs, etc, but it was once now and again traveling into town and a short transaction. Notably, all these social apps and messages on the phone were absent as well. I had a phone but it was just for calls and texts. That's a constant distraction for attention that I think leads to the type rushing and confusion I'm referring to. The social aspect of people being able to distract you with messages on these apps at any time.

Social Media Outrage as Tourists Blatantly Urinate on Pattaya Beach
JimTripper replied to webfact's topic in Pattaya News
How about the moto taxi guys. I have seen them take leaks, but not that often. Out in the heat drinking water all day they must be going somewhere. Seems like the whole town would reek of piss as there are no facilities. -
Another part of it is fluid interpersonal boundries. Someone else's problem becomes their problem relatively easily and vise versa. I see this all over, most obviously with money issues. It's like problems are never truly owned, but deflected off onto other people and situations. It's not strictly an Asian thing. Happens all over. It's extremely common in crowded and stressful environments (or situations where people are broke with financial difficulties). Can be seen strongly in prison settings. People can't "own" their situation and difficulties, so they find the nearest target. Strangely, the perfect target always seems to appear and make themselves available at just the right time. Perhaps starts with just a telling of their problems then gradually a target strangely "absorbs" someone else's problem, thereby granting the projector a degree of relief. This results in a confused and impatient mind because the target is trying to deal with irritants they are not able to screen out for some reason. It also suggest rushing because there is "too much on their plate" (they may be trying to solve someone else's problems, not just their own). Group therapy regarding boundries can restore a calm and collected mindset as the individual learns to set boundries regarding other people problems and the absorbtion of negative interpersonal energy.

iPhone 16 Launch Draws Large Crowds in Thailand

I was not impressed by the 16. When I viewed it, it was practically the same size as the older model I have. For me, it was not worth getting. -
Illegal Foreign Guide Assaults Chinese Tourist at Jewelry Store
JimTripper replied to webfact's topic in Bangkok News
When I first came to Thailand some scumbag had a table set up inside a wat near the enterance to get people to transport to a jewelry shop. He was acting like he was part of the monestary so you would listen to his scam. I wish the monks had done something about this. They should not be allowed to solicit inside the temple grounds. I still remember the guy wearing all this jewelry and the stupid smug grin he had. -
I haved lived here over 10 years. This is where I developed my theory about it, along with other Asian countries including Vietnam. Are you not seeing rushing & impatience where you are? Don't mistake not getting things done and laziness for patience. They are very different. Someone can move slowly, but still have a rushed, cluttered & inpatient mind.

Thailand: Where white losers that can’t get laid go

You really have to be a winner to get younger attractive women in the USA these days as a man over 50. Sometimes I felt like I needed to be a famous artist or rock star when I was there to have that scene. Every date felt like a job interview that started before we even met. Prolonged texting and messages and asking someone out had an element of trepidation to it. Meeting someone on a dating app was like winning the lottery. I felt like I was competing with millionaires when I lived in the SF Bay Area. Once in awhile I met someone with spontaniety and genuine fun, but it was relatively rare. Women don't seem to trust guys and open up well where I'm from. I'm not really sure what they are looking for. ⬇️ Of course, it could be that I'm just getting older and don't look that great anymore. 😂 I don't have the energy I once had. My body has also become soft and I have a flabbier chest. I think my chance of having a chisled chest like Adonis are probably over, unless I had some sort of radical surgery which is just not worth it. I also don't look especially appealing at the pool or on the beach, or in the bedroom. Add to that some dental issues, which I'm getting taken care of, but it's not perfect like a younger guy would be. People pick up on this stuff. I will throw in not being rock hard erect all the time as well but I think I still have some years to go before that becomes a serious issue. -
Very similar to a condom.

Masking is not that big of a deal. It's just like a scarf. Anti-maskers are people who are afraid of the barrier put up between people because they need the social interaction. Or, they have attached some conspiracy theory to the mask wearing. Similar to the Jewish star during WWII. If masking still bothers you it's well to look at why. You are fearful of government control (which is much worse in other areas then masking), or are fearful the there was a virus issue and you don't want to be reminded that it's a risk.

I still like wearing my mask on public transit, it just feels healthier. Plus, I don't like people staring at me in crowds so it helps with that as well. Also, my cloth mask it's comfortable going in & out of heavily air conditioned buildings, I don't like the temperature change. I don't talk to people much though, so having my mask on is not that big of a deal. I have a comfortable cotton mask though, not cheap, so maybe you just need a better mask. Oh yes, I almost forgot, get a nice hat also. Protects from the sun which can cause skin cancer. Standing in the sun is also sweaty and uncomfortable.

I saw Venom live when I was a teenager. They had a mosh pit and some fat guy fell on me and I could not get up off the floor and I felt like I was suffocating as it was very hot and sweaty in there. The fat guy could not get up off me due to his weight or just because we were all drunk. People still spinning around. Some guy reached down and pulled me up from under him. I was always thankful and wondered who that guy was that helped me up. Never saw him, it was just an arm.

A lot of that is people selling newsletters & subscriptions. They pick a big currency or commodity move that's on a huge time frame so it never really materializes, although it may be a legit move eventually. The longer people expect something to happen the harder it is to let go of the idea. Meanwhile they are paying for the subscription.

Thailand issues four major announcements on new visa measures

Keep people moving around and they don't settle in. It also costs them more to keep moving around. That's the real message under it all. They don't want people living locally on a local budget, they want them in hotels, living like tourists always moving around.
