  1. The tessabaan is the local government and helps settle disputes in their area. If you aren't willing to assert yourself so you can drive onto your own property, then wow, good luck.
  2. 1) Sounds like a government hospital, 2) Given meds and then told they're no longer needed without mentioning a change of diet or exercise?? 3) She needs to be proactive and either start eating healthier or consult a dietician and come up with a exercise routine.
  3. Could be the same person trolling a terrible story.
  4. If that's true, I'd be taking a small hammer to MY wall and popping various peep holes in it, it is after all MY wall.
  5. And what exactly is stopping you from speaking with the tessabaan or village headsman?
  6. Either the the neighbor is being rude & disrespectful or he doesn't know any better, he should have built his own wall and have a small gap between yours and his wall. If the wife won't do anything about it, either speak with the farang neighbor or get the tessabaan or land office involved using your best Thai and/or Google translation.
  7. He speaks Thai very well, but does he have a work permit?
  8. Bang Saray is not too far from Jomtien and it's a nice little beach area with restaurants, coffee shops. Sattahip is further down the road, better looking beaches than Jomtien/Pattaya.
  9. The OP would be better off offering his wife 1000, if she gets the owner to move his car.
  10. I'm curious if he wrote the sign asking for money or if was a Thai, the sign has some good penmanship in various colors, just how long has he been here?
  11. My Mrs. makes a video of her opening the packages for her "expensive" items.
  12. Rare to see and Indian traveling solo, perhaps an early morning swim gone wrong?
  13. I received a Lazada order today, when I just checked the return option on my Windows 10 PC, it said this; Nong Laz, I'm sorry... It looks like the page you were looking for no longer exists. Go to the main page to find what you want. Return to home page
  14. I've spoken with my Thai wife about when I pass and according to her, prices (donations) will vary from temple to temple and how much of ceremony the family wants. Here's a AseanNow thread with more input;
  15. How important is the trip? If it's important, I'd get there early, check-in, then go have breakfast in the airport, either these places or the cheaper food court on the ground floor. https://www.bangkokairportonline.com/suvarnabhumi-airport-dining-guide-cafes-restaurants/
  16. Has anyone in the official investigation called for a lynching or made statements about about him being guilty? No. And no one here on AN is in position to alter the outcome of the investigation and I seriously doubt the Thai authorities are reading AN posts on what we think. Here's Bill Burr's take on pedos;
  17. Would you contribute to a beggar's GoFund me page?
  18. So you'd be ok if Thai tourists started visiting your country and were begging on a daily basis?
  19. Well there is a requirement for visiting foreigners to have a certain amount of money &/or enough money to support themselves, and if they are tourists, where's their follow-on airplane/travel ticket? It's not just Thailand that feels this way, many countries have the same requirement.
  20. Those falang backpack beggars have been in/around Bangkok for decades, always seem to be same Khaosan road types.
  21. If you don't know much about buying used cars, I'd suggest buying one from the "certified' used car sales places on Sukhumvit. Certified cars are inspected by mechanics and come with a warranty. https://www.toyotasure.com/home/used-car/ชลบุรี?filterlogid=1190605&isnewcars=false&ismostview=false https://usedcar.honda.co.th/about.php
