Buds aren't recommended and if you're not careful they will drive the wax in further. The cotton tip can even come off and lodge in your ear (it happened to me). They are best for just cleaning the outer ear. However, if you have an adjustable shower head and put it on the strongest setting, you can use it to flush out the ear. Just direct the flow into the ear. It might take a few attempts though.

In its pure form, it's neutral. But in solution, the ph is generally around 4 or 5. So it's a weak acid. This is why most dentists don't recommend using it as a mouthwash. It's also used to white teethen as well as bleach hair, of course. By the way, it can also cure herpes.

Normally, I don't like to tip but I'll do it on occasion if I feel it's warranted. For example, I took a Bolt from Pattaya to Bankok for 1100. It was a nice car, new, plenty of leg room, the driver was fast and efficient, he had three phones going charting the route and made good time. So I gave him a tip. It was over two hour journey after all. He seemed surprised.

Given that there are no full-scale grocery stores in Jomtien, just the ubiqutous 7-11s and Tops Dailies, do people living there mainly eat out? Is there a convenient way to rely on your own cooking if you don't have your own transporation or would you have to take Bolt constantly to one of the major stores? I'm thinking of transferring there but I wonder if there is a lack of amentities outside the tourist trade.

I went to the Zing buffet this morning. It was 250 baht. And all I can say is that I won't be going back. It was sort of like a cross between an English breakfast and Thai street food. They had silver dollar pancakes, panang curry, the usual cheap ham and hot dogs, baked beans, toast and jam, fruit juice. Most of it wasn't very good. Even the coffee was bad. They had one of those automatic machines that supposed to be make various kinds of coffee but they all end up tasting like Red Cap. The two bright spots were the croissants and the egg station. At least the eggs were freshly made.

To answer my own question, I checked over at View Talay 2A and found that several providers offer optical fiber (including CAT as one poster mentioned). There was also a company called TMN, I think, and one other. I was told the 3BB service is very spotty, something about how they had touble linking up with the old cables or something. I can also confirm that fiber optical is available through NT at View Talay 5C and 5D but the tenant might have to install it himself, along with signing a 6-month contract. Odd that landlords choose to avoid the expense, as you would think it would be a selling point.

Value for money. Suppose breakfast is going to be the main meal of the day. So you want something filling you could partake of daily.
