haha, 200 facebook friends.
the logistics to manage that would be overwhelming.
i would need to hire a secretary.
and anyway, what's the point? and they would mostly be a bunch of superficial blurbs.
which is one of the dark sides of social media.
no, on one forum many years ago there were threats ...
forums can easily get way out of hand.
expressing opinions that differ from others pi**es people off.
It's not good to follow politics too much as it will just make you feel hopeless, depressed, anxious, bitter.
No one knows more about politics than Bill Maher.
but that's my point.
how fast can you type when you are "banging out a novel" before the words on the page are crap?
you need to slow down and put some thought into it.
Or spending 500 dollars for concert tickets, also influenced by social media hype.
Just watched Yuval Noah Harari interview on Lex Fridman. He has a bleak outlook on future of AI and humanity. Scary.
this is a useless topic.
typing fast is maybe only useful for secretaries, people doing data entry ...
you're trying too hard to generate topic ideas.
you look desperate.
no, it's not racism.
they are just erring on the side of caution.
if it was racism, they wouldnt want to let her date you.
although their perceptions of foreigners may not be entirely accurate, but neither have they encountered many foreigners.
but my point is that their fears are based in some reality. not all, but many young farang are playboys.
doesn't have to be buying a house. but do small gestures for extended family, whatever you can to show that you're not just using her and you're serious.
accompany the grandmother to the clinic. it doesn't have to be about spending vast amounts of money. but you need to do sth to build their trust.
why does she think you will leave her?
prejudice based on perception that foreigners are not committed? past experience from a previous farang boyfriend?
i agree with beachlovers. talking heads can get boring.
and some art is necessary and useful.
there's lots of free short films on youtube. (and vimeo, but now vimeo charges)
a lot of them are quite good.
and they get the point across in 10 minutes or 20 minutes or sometimes 3 minutes.
so you don't risk wasting hours watching a 2 1/2 hour movie that has nothing to say, like some hollywood stuff.
just found another channel. it's interesting as he doesn't just film himself eating food but does a lot of research on the history of the food and the restaurant owners.
check out this video man.
its a couple who quit their job to travel around italy.
in this video, they are eating in a very expensive steak house in florence and drinking expensive wine. the entire video is them eating dinner.
check out 5:14 of the video. the guy says "the donate us a pizza link is in the bottom" and his gf starts laughing.
these bloggers are getting people to donate money to them to pay for their travels by posting videos of themselves eating in restaurants.
i find this completely stupid that people give donations for this.
this is a perfect demonstration of the idiocy of the modern social media generation - donating money to watch people eat in a restaurant. they're even laughing at their audience.
