  1. You create further Problems! WHY? Explain this. Are you for real? New member and all. You actually want to create more problems, rather than follow advice given many times above. Go To Your Embassy. As soon as possible.
  2. @simon43 have experience from living in Laos.
  3. From link below. 4. Her parents are nakhon rural people near the Laos border. Not farmers, they work for a shipping business Work. Don't own the shipping company. Link to the redditt article
  4. As a foreigner, you stay out of it. Girlfriend should go to local police station, ask for help to evict him, and maybe make a contribution as intensive @ThaiLawOnlinemaybe Sebastien can inform you of the legal aspect, so you avoid problems
  5. I zoomed in on the photo, and wish I hadn't. Tony boy, there are a few trans who actually look same a beautiful women, not too tall or heavy, not to masculine, no visible adams apple, no feet size 43 (9'5). And can fool most men, even when they talk. Of all the trans in Thailand, you forgot all that, when you found the love of your life. Good luck in your future village life. Excellent idea to build a house on your belowed familys land. Don't forget to let MIL move into the biggest bedroom. What can possibly go wrong?
  6. But sex toys, fleshlight and inflatable dolls are still available ...
  7. Highly doubt that. The 3-3-3 is still a favorite customer for them. Who don't like 3-3-3?
  8. 12 pages with comments, all due to a pack of garbage bags value 30-60 baht. The world has gone mad. Not surprise OP has gone MIA. 555
  9. Many myself included had expected that BJ was the fav for the job. Maybe there will Not Be Any Overhaul of visa requirements either, that so many stressing about.
  10. 2,000 per day during peak of C19. Compare with win motorcycle taxi who hardly made 300 per day during the same time. Compare with the millions of people who temporary was without salary, or less than 50% salary during C19. High risk? Not more than motorcy taxi. If they're clearly incompetent you should report them to Grab, rather than tip for obvious incompetence. Some drivers need 1 Strike on their driver record, and retraining, before they take their job seriously. I guess you also tip every motorcy taxi drivers, even you probably know you mostly pay a extra 20+ baht farang tax, more than the Thais. Tip is supposed to be for extraordinary good service, not for the work their paid to do.
  11. His partly denture only have 3-4 teeth behind the long corner K9 teeth. Not as far in as wisdom teeth Less chewing area, but no gag vomit reflex. If you still have your long corner teeth, that serve as a good anchor connection point for partial denture. Never asked my brother how long it took him to get used to it, but after 1 year he never said anything about his dentures.
  12. Dentist make dentures as deep inside your mouth as you feel comfortable with. My older brother got dentures almost 10 years ago. He wanted only 1/2 deep inside his mouth. He still chew beef and other food. Feel a little pressure but thats it. He removes dentures before sleep, in a box with cleaning liquid. When he smiles big, I can sometime see the hook that connect denture with his corner teeth. He said, luckily im married. If I was single and still dating and look for relationship, I might choosen implants. Rather than full disclosure to a possible new partner. Cost is another thing. Dentures comes in many prices but cheap, while implants are still very expensive. Pain would be a big point for me personally, I'm not to found of any dentists. At 81, I would go for dentures, unless one still chasing the ladies.
  13. Let me think ... 70's Horrible green brown tweed shirts High neck shirts Long hair, no ears visible Also young men used 4-6 inch heels, huge heavy shoes. Tight white jeans, so small that one had to lay flat on the floor and use a tool to close the zipper, yes all merchandise was very visible. Black&white huge tv Radio Luxemburg on the radio played in amateur band Weekend Dj lost my virginity, blame above Motown r&b true music Hard Rock and soul music Caught cheating, lost both of them. Never again. 80's got my driving license My first car 800$ My first real love relationship Became a father Work 60 hrs/week Also men hi-light their hair like George Michael Work earn money 2nd job added. Condo Townhouse Finally a decent new car Single house Became a father again 90's Work 70+ hrs/week Cabin by the sea Cabin in the mountain ..... private ...... Moved to Thailand. 2'k forward Lots of ..... Lots of ....... Lots of .......... 70s & 80s was def the best time of my life.
  14. Because all us upper class filthy rich distinguished gentlemen are contregated here in Pattaya. Haven't you noticed? When require refined, magnificent, sophisticated, only Pattaya will do. We wouldn't be caught dead, mixing with the riff raff in other locations. Regards V-VIP Pattaya Insider tip: (TikTok is the place for the latest new clubs, country wide.) ????
  15. Ohhhh my, where to start comment on these few words, taken out of content
  16. Agree. The driver earned 2,000 baht per day in peak season during covid. If he works 12 hours = 166 baht per hour. Lets say driver manage 4 deliveries within 1 hour = 41 baht average per delivery, before possible tip on top. if driver work 2,5-3 hours he already earned more than what workers at hotel, 7eleven etc earn per day. But hotel restaurant staff was often paid only 6,000 month, if not sent home, during peak covid. Pity grab drivers? Get a grip.
  17. @lolex a must read for you
  18. Looks same many older bars in walking street or anywhere else. Near Mike beach road? No. From soi 10 going south, 1. Five Star bar been around 30+ year, cashier been there 28 yrs, different tiles and bar. 2. Cocktail bar, brand new open only 2(?) months ago. 3. Pasha's cafe, newer open air directly outside Mike. No bar. 4. Chalee bar outside modern city. Newer style, no bar. None of these looks anything same the photo. Not near Mike on beach road.
  19. If this is the situation for Australians (and I have no reason to doubt it) this should be the most important for OP. OP still working, have to make a big choice: retire instantly and wait 2 years - or - continue to visit here on holiday only. If I had posted my hospital invoices for the last years, OP would never ever move here neither at age 72, or future age 74. Spoiler alert, no money for your daughter. Enjoy free healthcare back home. The alternative abroad can eat up ones savings very fast, at older age.
  20. Absolutely. And Grab finally realized it too. Desperately trying to include multi platforms, finance sector and whatever else. Earning 60k at best per month as a motorcycle driver, something is def wrong, compared to other occupations and average salaries in Thailand. Grab should have a set salary of 20,000 (included 5k for gasoline) + Bonus 3,000 if driver reach a higher number of deliveries per month. 18,000 net is good salary for a motorcycle driver, compared with motorcycle taxi.
  21. That is what BJ might attempt again, to stop it at last. Will he succeed this time? My expat friends have between 850k to 1,4M pension. If retirement would jump from 800k to 1,5 million, they would all have to move to another country. Since my friends and I have discussed this many times, all have their plan B prepared. Rumour mill and scare mongering doesn't make us sleepless.
  22. They still earn 3-4 times more than people who work at 7eleven, hotel, factories. Grab drivers have the freedom to take a rest whenever. And when it starts to rain, either half the city all order at once - or half of their drivers return home. 4 years ago delivery was free, then delivery fee started and increased semi-yearly from 9-43 baht depending of distance. Grab say they only earn 25% on top of food price, while many restaurants told me 35%, don't know what to believe. Still grab th go with a loss. I tip for good service and politeness. No tip for 5-7 chat messages from driver, driver ask for order confirmation, ask for 5 star rating long ahead of delivery, are pin correct, where is it (duh) some can't even find a hotel or highrise condo. Sorry, but I don't feel sorry for grab drivers. 900+ a day is way above average salary here in Thailand.
  23. See the POSITIVE THINGS rather than negative, IF any future Immigration laws make you not qualify for retirement extension. That is [breath inhale] if there will actually be any changes or possibly not (keep it positive). *Cambodia. *Vietnam. *Philippines. *Laos. +No 800k bank deposit required. Some / many will say that these countries above are a step down, and they're likely correct. You will adjust, same you did the first 5 years moving and living here in Thailand. Would you not enjoy to live without stress, about possible new immigration requirements? ** No more 800k in the bank (use of agents are not the topic here) Wouldn't it also be interesting and fun to explore a new country? Cambodia come close to Thailand not only in distance, many things are very similar to Thailand. Ok, their infrastructure is not up to pair, but a few trade-ins have to be made, in return for less stressful life and no 800k in the bank. Do you agree? Reading this article, those into fun and nightlife would be ok. https://davetheravebangkok.com/phnom-penh-bar-scene-2023/ Example of Apartments in Cambodia https://www.fazwaz-kh.com/condo-for-rent/cambodia A option to plan B. Vietnam. Utube and the Net are full of reports from Vietnam expats, praising the many new apartment condos for rent there. Majority of new units seems fully equipped with kitchen, fast internet, large screen tv, microwave, even a laundry machine. For 300-500$ per month. Example of apartments condos in Vietnam. https://www.fazwaz.vn/condo-for-rent/vietnam Another option to plan B. Philippines and Laos. Fewer seems interested in Philippines and Laos. I been there many times and longtime expats there seems happy. UK retirees are very happy in Philippines because their pension are not frozen there. It's all about ones ability to adjust, be prepared, knowledge what to expect, and have a 'glass half full' outlook of life. If future immigration requirements for retirement extension of stay would change, both Philippines and Laos would be my Plan C. I'm prepared with Plan B and can put it into action on short notice. I sleep good at night, and don't listen to rumours or scare mongering. If you no longer qualify for retirement extension, and Must Relocate To Another Country .... What positive things can you see in your future new home away from home, and where would it be? Have your say.
