  1. Investors should pay no attention to how the overall market is doing. (1) Equity investing is a long term matter, and short term noise is irrelevant. (2) Attempts at market timing doesn't work.
  2. OP, you don't mention the race of your daughter. Dr. Sukama Suwanwalaikorn has extensive experience of European skin types having trained in Ireland and Boston. She works at various Samitivej hospitals and (I think) BNH. https://www.samitivejhospitals.com/doctor/detail/sukamas-suwanwalaikorn
  3. One used to be able to withdraw USD from cash machines. However, the government stopped that several years ago to boost the local currency. Unless you plan on taking a lot of yankee dollars with you, get used to counting the zeros. High end places show prices in thousands of VND. As for places to visit, Hanoi (capital city), Danang (peaceful, cool), Hoi An (a bit touristy). I've done the Halong Bay trip thing three times now. It's no longer as tranquil as it used to be, with far too many boats & tourists. If you like ruins, My Son is good for a day trip. If you like the beach, Nha Trang. The Mekhong delta is popular, but didn't thrill me.
  4. It's got its brothels, drug dealers, gambling dens - a lot more than just temples. However, they're pretty discrete and really only cater for Thai men.
  5. It's a bit more than just living abroad. One needs to intend to stay in the foreign country for the rest of one's life and cut ties to the UK. Google "domicile of choice" for more info..
  6. No good if you want to have an overseas domicile of choice and so avoid hundreds of thousands of pounds of inheritance tax.
  7. Yes, it is. Thailand is on the IBKR list of acceptable countries. https://www.interactivebrokers.com/en/accounts/open_account_country_list.php
  8. Rybelsus is an oral medication - not injected. It's definitely available in Thailand. I bought some from a large international hospital in Bangkok a couple of days ago. At the hospital concerned, Ozempic, which is injected, was not available. FWIW, a strip of 10 Rybelsus (7mg) was 415 baht. If you're interested in weight loss (which I'm not), this is not going to make much of an impact. The OASIS 1 trial used a daily dose of 50 mg to produce a 17% reduction in body weight at 68 weeks.
  9. Anyone know why XPG (Xspring Capital) is up so much today on the SET? Can't find any relevant news.
  10. 7/11 is owned by CP ALL. CP ALL is owned by the Chearavanont family. No connection with the current senate or the military, AFAIK.
  11. Mr. Ice Poseidon has a Wikipedia page. Apparently: "His peak prominence was in 2017" (I guess he's desperate to become popular again.) He's been repeatedly banned from various platforms, and he's been banned from Reddit. His fans frequently use "racial and sexual slurs, and harassment." He "admitted to scamming over $500k from his fans in a pump and dump crypto scheme" Charming guy. He's also autistic. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ice_Poseidon
  12. Any dogs around will chew their juicy stems, and in a few weeks you'll have none left.
  13. I think you'd be better off spending your money on psychiatric treatment, but that's just my opinion on Tesla. A Google search of "site:aseannow.com poems broker" will get you some reasonable broker suggestions.
  14. No idea who Kurt Schwab is. The president of the WEF is Klaus Schwab. And pretty sure he's never said he wants everyone to have a chip implanted in their brain or, indeed, in any other body part.
  15. There is one mutual fund in Thailand investing in the S&P 500 index. https://www.assetfund.co.th/home/fundfact-template02.aspx?id=69
  16. Doubtless you know more about glass blowing than I do. However, you do appear not to understand the meaning of "high tech". Fibre optics is little more than a modern version of copper wires. Not high tech.
  17. Glass blowing dates back to the 1st century BCE. Hardly new or innovative. And definitely not high tech.
  18. You appear to be confusing Stark Corporation (a Thai wire manufacturer) with Stark Industries (a company owned and run by Tony Stark a.k.a. Iron Man). Only one of these could be considered "high tech".
  19. Why am I unsurprised that "The Torture King" is an American, shown with a Confederate flag behind him, along with a "Trump 2020 Keep America Great" flag? And of course, they're torturing macaques. Orangutans are visually far too similar to their beloved Trump, what with all that orange hair.
  20. Shincort is made by Y.S.P. INDUSTRIES (M) SDN BHD - a Malaysian company. According to MIMS it's not available to Thailand. Thaicort is made in Thailand. However, it's an FDA category S (Special Controlled Drug) with a prescription required. In practice this means you'll have to get it from a hospital after a medical consultation.
  21. Bahtnet is a Thai internal system. You need to look beyond this since the problem may well be with the initial transfer from UK to Thailand. How does the UK send the transfer to Bahtnet? I'm guessing SWIFT, but don't know.
  22. If the Tokamak is "ready to start operations", why the photograph of a plastic children's toy, rather than the real thing? This is a real Tokamak (the JET Tokamak at Culham in the UK).
  23. Are you sure about that? I thought it was the same level as Division 1. Division 2 is on the floor above.
