  1. Why would there be jealousy, when anyone id free to apply for the LTR visa? We are all in the same boat aren't we?
  2. "Transgender woman" sounds weird to me when used for a cross dressed bloke. I what world are we living, for Yahweh's sake.
  3. Some idiots will never understand how things work here.
  4. I would agree. But the key issue is that in Caucasians Obesity causes the IQ to drop well below 90.
  5. That's on a case by case basis. I have not elected radical treatment for my Prostate cancer diagnosed in 2018, but I had an early Cholecystectomy for my Gallstones. Two of the best decision I have ever made.
  6. Hmmmhh This is what my Insurance recommends, wonder why?
  7. Had it been free, I would have taken it. LTR cost me 50000, but now I am a bit less worried about Income tax. Actually, a few years back, it was reasonably (500k, 1M and 2M) priced until they became obscenely greedy, thanks to the Chinamen refugees.
  8. There is a fair bit of "hunting" going on in Thailand. Only a fraction of which involves criminal charges and TRP.
  9. Who, other than you and Yourself, give a rat's arse about your social security? The point is that tens of thousand foreigners will pay IT, at the same rate as Thais, and will get zero, zilch, nada in return. It makes it a duty to leave, at least 185 days a year. But that's what the Chinese masters want anyway.
  10. The word "Taxation" has been diplomatically left out.
  11. It is up to 3000 Baht actually, above that the civil servant must report the gift to his supervisor(s). You are allowed and welcome to show your appreciation for services rendered by a government employee.
  12. Great, if that's good for you. But I enjoy a bit of Thainess with my IO. Just I like a bit of boomboom in Krung Thep every now and then. But you gotta be kidding, you have and LTR visa and are too stingy to make a little gift to your friendly I.O? And it isn't graft either as gifts up to 2000 Baht are fully legal in Thailand.
  13. Well what I pay (2k to 3k) is the equivalent of a cheap two star hotel in Europe, and I get some amazing treats. I'd feel sorry if I had missed out on something where Thailand gives amazing value for money.
  14. So, you remember all the hotels where you've stayed, or keep records of everything? hmmmh
  15. Extort foreigners, audit them for 5 years so that they can get a tax clearance certificate.
  16. Well, seem like Thais have less money to spend holidays while the International clientele is back. I doubt I have ever stayed in a Hotel for less than 2000 Baht a night. Do these sub 1500 places have private bathrooms, beds or mats on the floor?
  17. Agreed, but I suggest to my fellow LTR holders to be extremely cautious there, as they might look for the slightest reason to negate our privileges. I base this on warnings posted on BOI's website. "Section 7 In the case that a foreigner has applied tax reduction or exemption under this Royal Decree, and later does not comply with rules prescribed in Section 3, Section 4, Section 5, and Section 6 in any tax year, benefits will be suspended in that tax year."
  18. Then your allowances would be. Over 65> 190k Personal Allowance 60k First 150k tax free allowance. Up to 100k allowance offset against pension income Total allowance: 500k So at £8000 per annum @ 44 baht to the £ = 352k So, you are still under your total all Yet the pension allowance is 800k per year which currently the Thai government thinks is what you need to live here so tax will have to be paid on that 800 - 500 balance 300K TAXABLE At 5%, that would be 15000 a year so, if you are right, no even worth hiring of of those crooks calling themselves agents.
  19. Must be a bit like bringing a girl and a ladyboy to your room.
