  1. You give him too much credit for having a coherent ideology. He has no such thing. He's the greatest con man the world has ever known. He thrives on creating chaos and then claiming credit for fake fixing crises he has created. What he's doing is about the one thing he does care about. All attention on him. All power to him. He cares nothing about any people except for himself. He's a dangerous monster and it's still shocking how many people fail to see that.
  2. I don't find the OP's combo particularly wonderful but taste is subjective and I know what he means about the bliss of a magical combo. Had a Sichuan Chinese meal the other day that was memorable that way. Cold poached chicken in a chile sesame sauce Mala (hot and tingly) hot pot with sea bass filet Grilled cumin incrusted lamb skewer Rice of course
  3. Don't be so dumb. Americans won't take farm labor jobs so the crops. etc. will just rot and the farmers will go under.
  4. Maga -- the gift of white nationalism that keeps on giving.
  5. I meant before the talk loudly and carry a bigger stick demagogue felon threatened them.
  6. Are Panama, Dénmark, and Canada hostile?
  7. I think it's a real possibility. If it happens I hope Thailand doesn't retaliate against American expats.
  8. Well I'm in favor of deporting criminal non citizens but it should really be based on the individual cases. In other words the specifics of their immigration status and the severity of the crimes. For example peaceful prorests are allowed in the US even by non citizens. Violent protests are crimes. About the video of disrupting a class if they're students there the School should discipline or expel or if not have the police trespass them. It sounds like Trump's EO is another one of his overreaches. Also of course criticizing Israeli government policies should not be conflated with Jew hatred though of course in many cases it is used as a cover for that.
  9. Based on the picture the accused Israeli is decidedly white in color so ipso facto a farang in Thailand. Yes many Israelis are darker in color ot even Ethiopian. But not this guy. Next ...
  10. Considering his outrageous performance in response the D.C. air crash, it's hard to doubt this. Trump headed for a 'narcissistic explosion of unparalleled force' in new term: columnist

  11. Yes there is trolling and there is trolling. A lot of it is real. On his brilliant idea to deport U.S. citizens to El Salvador prisons (I think he's serious), is that even constitutional, and if not, would the maga dominant supreme court stop him?
  12. That airport should have been closed decades ago. The safety issues have always been known. Dulles was built to replace it. It could have been kept open for military and security purposes of course.
  13. Tucker is a no credibility fruitcake media whore clown darling of Z fascist Russians. On the other hand I wouldn't blame Ukraine for targeting Putin considering Putin has targetted Zelensky.
  14. Landing into DCA is really awesome as you can see all the iconic buildings and monuments. They were supposed to close DCA (for safety reasons) when boring but safe well out of town Dulles was opened but the politicians were too greedy about having their easy commute airport.
  15. Maybe another reason in this case was lack of respect for the competence of the money screening system here compared to a country like Norway. In other words, the perception true or not of less risk of being caught here.
  16. If it turns out that he is guilty (it's not looking good for him) I wonder why so many foreigners choose Thailand to commit such serious crimes instead of countries with more humane prison systems? Don't they know how horrific it is to be imprisoned in Thailand?
  17. Yes, there is a dark wave of ignorant anti LGBT bigotry on the rise. Thankfully, Thailand is not riding that wave.
  18. The reviews were middling and that's probably about right but I still found My Policeman worth watching to see Harry Styles act and also the story about how the historical oppression of gay people in the UK ruined the lives of BOTH gay and straight people.
  19. If you know anything about Mexican residency, you would know that the financial requirements have gotten very high and they go up quite a lot every year. Options include by income OR money in the bank including retirement accounts. Most retired expat types would have enough in retirement accounts to qualify for temporary residence (which leads to permanent residence four or five years later without ever needing to show money again). But suppose you can't qualify or you're worried that the requirements will be too high if you ever do want to do this in future years. Well, believe it or not, there exists an amazing LOOPHOLE that gets around the financial requirements, basically getting you into the temp residence path towards perm or even citizenship. It's referred to as REGULARIZATION or officially RNE (Registro Nacional de Extranjeros). It sounds too good to be true but it has been true for many people moving to Mexico for years already. It's a program renewed or not renewed annually so no guarantee it will still exist when you want to use it and/or the rules could change as shown in the link. So what do you need to do? Visit Mexico as a TOURIST at least once and then you might be eligible for this loophole many years later. So what's the point? Well if Mexico is on your list as a possible backup to Thailand, and you're visiting the U.S. or Canada anyway, a little trip down south could set you up for this option later. Even if you could qualify financially, in some ways this is better, because for standard method, you must make application at a Mexican consulate abroad. With the RNE, you do the application in Mexico. Once you have your temp residency status you're in the exact same boat as those who qualified using the standard method. It's not a lesser than temp residence because of the way you started. WEBSITE: Special Residency in Mexico- NO INCOME NEEDED (RNE Program) - Mexico Relocation Guide
  20. You say they're wrong. Both readings can't be right. Hopefully, sooner or later, this rather major issue for Americans will be clarified. Or maybe it won't be.
  21. No you can't The full amount of the withdrawal is the relevant number for Thailand in both cases. They are both retirement accounts. Not bank accounts. Not regular investments, One was taxed by the IRS going in, the other going out.
  22. TRD doesn't care about the U.S. tax rules. Both Roth and Traditional withdrawals are classed as accessable PENSION income if remitted.
  23. Sure, the U.S. can self isolate and withdraw from doing great PR soft power projects globally. The world will notice and the vacuum will be filled by China and others. Maga fools only think about short term transactional "wins" totally ignoring policies that have helped the American brand massively in the past. Make America Stupid and Petty Again more like.
