Good thing Trump likes golf, less time confusing the hell out of the world.
And to think, he managed to get it done in just 5 months... instead of four years. Of course, by the END of the four years, he'll have bankrupted America just as he die all his other businesses.

I wonder... As he's bankrupted every business he's run, is president Krasnov's goal as a Russian operative to bankrupt America? I don't recall the exact numbers, but aren't we up to over $30,000,000 dollars wasted on his golf outings just in the past 5 months?!? Typical weekend golf trips cost taxpayers approximately $3.4 million each, with longer or more complex trips (such as those involving additional air travel or security arrangements) costing even more—up to $4.2 million for a single extended weekend. How exactly is that NOT pissing away our tax dollars? That's $30,000,000 that could be used to feed and shelter American disabled veterans or provide houses for America's growing homeless population.

Tells loads about a mans mental state
I don't hate Trump. He's just a pawn in the game. President Krasnov! He's a con man recruited to do what he's always done. Con Americans out of their money. No surprises there. I do hate what it has shown us about half of Americans; that they have no compassion, no empathy, are bigoted and racist with little common sense, virtually no morality, and yet live believing they are still following Christian values because Trump says they are! Now isn't that the biggest con of all?

Relocating to Chiang Mai, worried about burning season
I've lived in Chiang Mai for over 25 years, and never felt the need to leave during Burning Season. Two cheap air purifiers in the house (2-bedroom apt) is all we've ever needed. We did put on masks for a week this year when we played outside, but that really was just because it 'looked' so bad! Outside often 'looks' really bad, but the actuality is, your kitchen frequently gets a much higher PM2.5 reading any time you fry, bake, stir fry, or grill breakfast, lunch, or dinner! In fact, do you ever eat in ethnic restaurants that have incense burning? Or visit temples with incense burning, or hell... just walking down the street and seeing all the shop keepers putting their incense out 2-3 times a day... but you don't 'see' that air pollution around you in Chiang Mai all the time. I'm 78 years old. Chiang Mai's air quality has never affected me or my family over the past 25 years. It just looks ugly for a few weeks. Please do not allow the doom-sayers to ruin what may be a perfect place for you to live.

The worst thing I see on Thai roads
While I agree there is virtually no 'good' driver training going on, it's 'my' opinion that most of these driving infractions would be significantly reduced if police were on the roads giving on-the-spot fines (so the drivers KNOW why they are paying) for these offences, and vehicles impounded for recurrences. Thailand: It's time to sh!t or get off the pot. You aren't saving lives by letting people drive dangerously.

The worst thing I see on Thai roads
I will not drive down in East Thailand any longer. The drivers passing all the cane trucks simply don't give a damn if anyone is coming in the other lane. They are going to pass the cane truck regardless! I was forced onto the shoulder (thank God there was one!) at least 4 times in less than two hours by 'strings' of cars passing the cane trucks. They just don't care, or perhaps even realize they are going to die too.

The worst thing I see on Thai roads
I ride a motorbike every day. And at least 2-3 times a week I just barely manage to stay alive because car and truck drivers are passing on blind curves, passing at the crest of a hill, and generally driving like dicks! Anyone on the Thai roads today will realize there are no cops patrolling the roads looking for unsafe driving. There are no cops at intersections stopping drivers from jumping red lights or making left turns from the right lane. There are no cops at the fresh markets in your neighborhood, where there is ALWAYS a traffic jam because of double and triple parking. There are few cops on the roads working to keep people safe. Just road blocks set up to collect helmet money. Many wonder why?

Do you still read books?
I try to read at least two hours a day, every day. I use e-books and read them on my iPad, and always have at least 5-10 books on it waiting to be read. I often read 2-3 books at the same time; perhaps a philosophy book, a science book, and a novel. Two for learning new things and one for the sheer joy of reading a good book. For the novel, I usually try to find authors who write long series so I can follow the character development from one book to the next.

How did your dad influence your life
Statistics show that men who help with the housework get laid more often. 🙂

How did your dad influence your life
My dad gave it his best shot, but had no idea how to be a father. I guess his father was the same, and I certainly turned out exactly like him. But he taught me to question. He taught me to think for myself. He rarely 'answered' a question, but instead, 'asked' me a question whose answer led me toward a good clue as to answering my original problem, figuring it out for myself. Called the 'Socratic Method,' I've used it for the past 60 years as a teacher. He provided for his family... we never wanted for anything. He was in favor of, and paid for, whatever lessons I wanted to take, be it drums, horseback riding, golf, guitar, fencing... anything other than bagpipes. He made that very clear. I know he loved me, but he had no idea how to show it, emotionally. Despite that, my memories of him are all positive.

No supermarkets? Not even a Macro nearby? The difference is between fermentation and rotting. Iodized salt affects the fermentation process. We need the cabbage to ferment for saurkraut, which it wants to do in the presence of all that salt! Here's an AI breakdown of the difference: Fermentation is not simply rotting, though both processes involve the breakdown of organic matter by microorganisms. The key differences lie in control, the types of microbes involved, and the outcomes for food safety and flavor. Fermentation is a controlled process in which specific beneficial microorganisms—such as bacteria, yeast, or molds—convert sugars and other compounds in food into acids, gases, or alcohol. This process is managed by humans to achieve desirable flavors, textures, and preservation effects. For example, lactic acid bacteria (LAB) are commonly used to ferment vegetables into sauerkraut or kimchi, creating an acidic environment that preserves the food and makes it safe to eat for extended periods. Rotting (or putrefaction), on the other hand, is an uncontrolled process where a wide variety of microorganisms, including spoilage bacteria and molds, break down food. This leads to the production of unpleasant odors (like ammonia and hydrogen sulfide), off-flavors, and potentially harmful substances that can cause food poisoning or illness Non-iodized salt and you'll have saurkraut in 2-3 days. Better to wait a week or two, though. Making Kimchee is even easier!

Doctor shares tips for your kidneys health
I can buy it to eat at home in Rimping, Tops, and several other shops. I have it served at lunch in restaurants. Obviously, the German buffet restaurant offers it, as do a few other restaurants. But if you can’t find it, it’s certainly easy enough to make, even in a one-room apartment with no kitchen. Here’s how: Cut and shred a round cabbage. Sprinkle with 2-3 tablespoons of non-iodized salt. Put in a big jar with a spoonful of black peppercorns and a spoonful of coriander seeds. Put in a cool place. Eat in 3-4 day or longer (You can skip the peppercorns and coriander if you wish. Salt alone will saur your kraut. Most folks dont know this, but sauerkraut was one of the main food supplies during the American Civil War on both sides sides!

Trump Mocks France Over WWII Commemorations, Urges Greater U.S. Recognition
Had you been there helping, perhaps one or two of these boys might have lived to come home again. Tell me, was it selfishness or cowardice that kept you away? Personally, I enlisted in ‘67. Not because I thought the war was just, but because my fellow Americans were doing what their country asked of them. I felt it my duty to at least help them.

Traditional Shaving Enthusiasts
For double-edged blades, glass or ceramic is preferred over a flat leather strop. Holding the blade flat (slightly curved, actually) against the inside side of a large drinking glass and running it back and forth gets the job done nicely. They used to sell these back in the day, but frugality during the war years had people just using their pickle crocks and large drinking glasses.

Merely reporting the weather in my area.....
Generally speaking, I just look out the window. It's usually right there. It gives me a pretty good idea.

I guess I'm pretty fortunate as we eat ALL of these recommended foods every week. Love 'Kimchee-buta,' (sliced pork with Kimchee, gochujang, garlic and ginger. 5 minutes to make and healthy to eat!) Olives with breakfast every morning, Saurkraut with lunch 2-3 times a week, Raspberries and Greek yogurt for dessert at dinner once or twice a week, avocados with lunch 2-3 times a week, pumpkin seeds as snacks, Asparagus with Shrimp at least once a week. Hell, I just might live forever! 🙂

Taking a shot of EVOO per day
I often use Evoo for cooking, alternating with lard or tallow depending upon the dish I'm cooking. I also eat a handful of Kalamata olives EVERY DAY. Olive oil doesn't get any more virgin than that. I eat them because I like them, and because when following a Keto Lifestyle, we need more fats and oils for energy, and olives create a lot. To date (and I've been doing this daily for the past six years,) I have not noticed any changes in my skin, my weight has stayed at 72.5 kilo (give or take a kilo or two) for the past 6 years. (Yes, I weigh myself every Saturday morning.) Evoo IS a very healthy fat. But it's not a miracle worker. We need a balanced diet for good health, and a spoonful of Evoo isn't going to do it. It won't hurt. Just won't help by itself.

7 / 11 shops
I have noticed a trend here in Chiang Mai of opening HUGE new 7-Elevens all around town! Several even have parking lots! One of them downtown even has parking space for 6 cars!

When was the last time that you spoke with a foreigner?
I talk with farang and Thais every day. I don't go looking for either of them. Frankly, the more people I speak with, the more I like my dog. And I don't even have a dog.

Traditional Shaving Enthusiasts
Temu and Shopee sell these as low as 18 Baht now. I bought mine for 42 Baht two years ago. But I only use it to shave my head. For my face, nothing beats Harry's blades, especially if you strop them before each use. I can get 30-40 'comfortable' shaves from one (I shave my neck every other day) combined with a very light touch of Gatsby's Shaving gel. Stropping is the real secret to getting a close, comfortable shave, and increasing the life of the blade. There's a valid reason barbers strop their razors. I made my strop from a piece of 'Horween's' shell Cordovan horsehide, giving my blades 30-40 strokes before shaving to remove any oxidation that formed overnight. You can use any firm surface to strop; an old leather belt, the palm of your hand (yes, human skin does contain natural silicates, just not as much as cows, horses, or kangaroos,) or even your jeans! If you strop before every shave, and shake your razor dry afterward, you can almost double the number of 'comfortable' shaves. I'm too delicate to put up with shaving drag.

Trump Vows to Slash Drug Prices with New Executive Order
So long as uneducated Americans keep voting for criminals, yes... that may happen. With more than half of the American voters having no more than an 11yr old reading/comprehension level so that they don't understand what's happening to them right now (soon, their wallets will alert them to the problem) America will continue to crumble while the rest of the world watches in horror and disbelief!
