Report Thailand Tightens Grip on Retirement Visas Amid Wealth Shift
ignis replied to snoop1130's topic in Thailand News
something has changed, met up with my Cousin again Last week of May he went as normal to the Embassy in London to get a new Retirement 1 year Visa, They he and his late wife have had the 1 year Retirement Visa for years This time they wanted a letter from his Government Pension - they would not give a new Visa as his pension did not meet the NEW amount needed... Appears they were only interested in Pension, not that he could prove he had many 1,000s of £ in investments He said they were helpful so this time has a Tourists Visa + was told that there was no problem [new rules] on Visa on arrival anymore.. he spends 4/5 weeks in Malaysia + spends 4/5 weeks in Australia + 4 weeks in New Zealand with weeks in-between in Thailand as a base + Feb - end May in UK every year This last week he went to his Bank here = loads of problems one of the main ones they Bank says now MUST have a Thai phone number !! -

No idea Monday was at Makro, they had a Samsung 65" SALE price 7,990 baht !!! [not interest in Samsung or LG] The other thing to look at is LG's webOS version, as with Android there are many brand new TV/Smartphone/Tablets running a older system = a lot cheaper. Home Pro often have big discount sales on + branches all over Thailand + do online

Is it worth it at 78 ? - Implant replacement teeth
ignis replied to still kicking's topic in Health and Medicine
No idea myself Told go to India is less the halve the price, - 2nd option is Vietnam as cheaper than Thailand -
As we are in Thailand Thai men can't grow beards like we can. Western genes are more conducive to growing beards. Thai guys would if they could, many only shave 1 or 2 times a month to remove the odd whiskers or light fluff

Is it worth it at 78 ? - Implant replacement teeth
ignis replied to still kicking's topic in Health and Medicine
is it worth doing? Up to you, I am 3 years younger and for me decided it is not worth it.. Now have no top teeth left, the 1 tooth + 4 crowns and a bridge fell out, Dentist say only 2 options, Implants 200k for just top teeth or plastic plate 8,000 baht + 3 x pin removals + 1 x root @ 280 baht each. [Dentist advise remove 1 by 1 let heal before next removal] Funny not really a problem or getting used to it just cut everything much smaller 😀 so far had the broken root removed [took 2 months for that to heal] so will get around to getting the pins out sometime -

Don't see the point to them so never had any, somehow always related tattoos as people that had been in Prison, these days appear all sexes have them - still don't see the point -
