I agree with the subsistence living comment, but there are many very liveable places in Pattaya which will give plenty of change out of 8,000 a month. In fact 8,000 is at the top end of what needs to be paid. Yes I am talking about accom cost only. Where else in all the suggested alternatives outside of Asean would you get decent accommodation and, more importantly, in a decent neighbourhood for that.

In the ghetto, last night was as cool as it's been for a while. Waking up in the night I was cold, it was not the cold that woke me and it did not keep me awake, just an unusual feeling ????. Might wear a t-shirt tonight.

I would be interested in the inside story of N, abbreviated would be perfectly acceptable.

Not necessarily, how many times have they been closed and re-opened so far.? When it was just those with restaurant licenses that could serve alcohol there was no chaos. This would be the best time to do it, when there's not many people here. There will be mongers and drinkers returning when the immigration requirements actually ease off. Makes no difference to me, but I am concerned for other people. ????

I came here 24 years ago loved the way it was then and am not too unhappy with the way things are now. That is from my selfish perspective. It is disastrous for people who have lost livelihoods, homes, businesses etc. -
Well a feller outside Tree Town the other night did say he thinks you know more about them. Some nasty gits in this world.

I am curious about this 500, will it apply to Malaysians coming over for their short breaks, shopping r&r, etc. Or will they get some neighbouring state status.? -

But as you said an hour before that it is all still a bit vague. -
11.59 am is a bit early for me, but as you say each to our own

You're always moaning about people and their country which you describe as a "country of complainers". In fact you are possibly the biggest moaner and complainer on here. As for me, I am only here because I don't know of anywhere that would suit me better. ???? Anyway, back to my book it's a bit early for lunch yet.

As an occasional visitor here I swung by to see how the local Geordies were taking things. Very quietly obviously. Come on lads remind us that you're a big club and deserve to be at the top. ????

Calm down TBL, there is much in what you say. Is this a late night or early morning.? Me I've just had a mooch along Walking St following reports possibly on here about it's total desolation. Apart from around Nashaa most of it is no worse than you would expect from any business area that has not traded for 6 months or whatever.
