Canada Implements 100% Tariff on China-Made Electric Vehicles
JonnyF replied to Social Media's topic in World News
That's pretty cool. I'd buy it in yellow and get a "Trotters Independent Traders" logo on the side. -

Yep. Liberalism, multi-culturalism and identity politics is destroying the West. The East is rising, and belly laughing at our self destruction. -
A rather silly comment given the catastrophic impact of Covid. But for a more sensible comparison let's compare the UK to the EU's largest economy over the same period. Apples to Apples. Like I said, Project Fear well and truly debunked. Quite embarrassing for Remainers I'd imagine. https://facts4eu.org/news/2023_may_uk_growth_beats_no1_eu_state.

The capital that they worked to buy. For example, working to pay the mortgage off on a house. The parents worked for that. Then they have to pay Labour when they wish to leave it to their children. Then Labour will spaff it up the wall on some vanity project. Yes, it's one of the hot topics in British politics right now if you hadn't noticed. Also linked to Britains exit from the EU.

Time is not on the EU's side when it comes to luring the UK back into it's web. As the frankly ridiculous Project Fear continues to be debunked and the EU economy stagnates, handing over billions every year to rejoin a failing club will appear less attractive with each passing year, especially with the UK outperforming the EuroZone (image below from the link in my post above this one). I'm not surprised the Germans are so desperate to have us back.

He who pays the piper calls the tune. Germany can do what it likes because it's propping up all the failing EU states. Not sure for how long though, given it's impending economic demise at the hands of Chinese manufacturing. https://www.euronews.com/business/2024/08/27/german-economy-shrinks-as-consumers-shy-away-from-spending

Not women's right to vote. Harris' right to be the "Democrat" nomination. Nobody voted for that, she was selected due to her immutable characteristics. Not very Democratic. The first DEI nomination. Hopefully not the first DEI President or the US is in a whole world of trouble. Fortunately she will need votes to become President and as her history shows us, when she needs actual votes she loses.

I've ordered about 10 things from Temu so far. Shipping is free but a bit slower than Lazada. Product quality has been very good and incredibly cheap. It's mostly no name stuff though, not as many brand names as Lazada has but obviously some of the Lazada "brand name" stuff is suspicously cheap, shall we say...

Make no mistake. That's exactly what it means. This is just the first step. Test the waters so to speak. Starmer was one of the anti-democrats pushing for a second vote to overturn the first one. He cannot be trusted on this or anything else.

Customer slaps Bangkok barber after trim turns grim - video
JonnyF replied to snoop1130's topic in Bangkok News
In my experience you have to be quite clear about the style you want with Thai barbers, otherwise they just give you the style they think you should have (which is often the standard Mushroom style that is popular amongst Asians). Reminds me of the old "Lionel Blair haircut" ad in the 90's.😄 Edit to remove the link to the ad as it's a beer advert - oops!
