  1. On my dining table there are at least 4 sharp knives and in the kitchen there are probably at least 8 more not including the 2 cleavers.
  2. I can remember a certain current defense minister who 8 years ago denied that he was planning a military coup. Do I believe anything the current government says? Not a chance.
  3. But it doesn't have to, IF the police did their job properly in the first place.
  4. It happens every year and no matter how high or how many embankments that are built, flood water will always find a way around or over the embankment. At least the current (elected by the people) governor, Chatchart Sittipunt, got out of his office and went out to the site to talk to the guys who were actually working. His government appointed predecessor never bothered with little things like that.
  5. What is missing from the report is his age and how long he will serve in post. IMHO he is just the Buggins in Buggins turn next. What is needed is promotion on merit only and NOT on seniority in rank, especially as posts in the RTP can be acquired on purchase (with enough money).
  6. But the laws are NOT enforced by the very people who should do so. The RTP. If they did their job properly in the first place, then IMHO the roads would be much safer and so would the motorcyclists of all ages. If the government did their job properly instead of wasting money on submarines and F45s, they could buy decent helmets and give them to schoolkids, take their ID details and a photo, and then if the school child is caught without a helmet as a rider or a passenger the the motorbike is confiscated for a week and has to be ransomed back form the police.
  7. It is very simple and much more simple than you believe. What you have is only your opinion. The Justice Department and the AG have far more knowledge of the law than you and certainly I do. They make the decision based on the facts presented, and NOT on thoughts or opinions of people without the full knowledge of what is happening full time. quote "Hint" there may be an attorney from the USA on this forum who would definitively know that answer. DUH." Who is this un-named person that you are hinting about. He certainly does not seem to appear on this forum giving his advice. Perhaps he realises that you are wrong and is too polite to correct you. There are several posters on this forum and this thread who have many years of experience with the Justice Department and Law enforcement but you refuse to accept what they say simply because it does not agree with your bias. Now I can accept that, if you have as much if not more knowledge and experience as they do, but I don't think that you have any at all, do you. I rarely see any links from you , only your thoughts and opinions and they are worth as much as mine.
  8. The Constitutional Court Should have suspended him and ordered him to stop ALL duties.
  9. Why do you keep asking questions of the people on the forum? They know as much as you know. Why not direct your questions to the people who DO know what is going on, the US Department of Justice. Lay out you questions and problems clearly and concisely, and if they determine that you have a right to know before the US public and anybody else, they will tell you. If not, then please be patient and like the rest of us, just wait until all is revealed. After all, it is not as if you can do anything to affect the outcome anyway.
  10. More like a drama queen.
  11. And your problem with that is what exactly? If you want the complete unredacted version then I suggest that you contact the US Justice Department and DEMAND a complete unredacted version for your eyes only. I am sure that they will realise how important you are and who your Daddy is and email it to you immediately. There is no point in you whining on an unimportant English website in Thailand, as nobody here can do anything, and a lot of us really don't care. Mostly we are patient, and realise that when the Justice authorities are ready, all will be revealed. Trump's creed: Laws are for everybody else, but not for me.
  12. I think that it has backfired on him.
  13. So if the popular vote stands as you say, please explain why Trump is whining and crying that the election was stolen. https://www.cfr.org/blog/2020-election-numbers Biden won 81,283,098 votes, or 51.3 percent of the votes cast. He is the first U.S. presidential candidate to have won more than 80 million votes. Trump won 74,222,958 votes, or 46.8 percent of the votes cast. That’s more votes than any other presidential candidate has ever won, with the exception of Biden. (Third-party candidates picked up 1.8 percent of the votes cast.)
  14. I would rather believe the US AG and the Justice Department than some anonymous poster on an English language forum in Thailand. At least they know what they are talking about.
  15. Whilst Thailand as a country needs to move on and move forwards in time, the dinosaurs running the country want to move it backwards to the 20th or the 19th century.
  16. What I will do is talk to the IO and get her opinion as she certainly knows her stuff and always gives me up to date information every time I visit.
  17. Hoisted by his own petard. Aside from historical references to siege warfare, and occasional contemporary references to fireworks, petard is almost always encountered in variations of the phrase "hoist with one's own petard," meaning "victimized or hurt by one's own scheme." In his own words, saved for posterity and freely available on YouTube.
  18. IMHO the mistake happened a long time ago at the first or second military coup. That was the time when the king should have said no and had the coup leaders shot for treason There would have been few if any later coups if their leaders had been charged with treason against the king and government.
  19. Out here in rural Kamphaeng Phet, a few shops have closed (though one was the vet) but at least 3 small resorts and a few small restaurants have closed through lack of customers. The one factory is just working 8 till 5 with no overtime and less staff. A lot of the pop up roadside eateries have popped down now but at least they were not paying rent. My wife closed her noodle stall after 5 days of absolutely no customers.
  20. I had a similar problem earlier this year when I wanted to use the toilet. The handle was turning but the lock tongue wasn't. I went down to my workshop and came back with several screwdrivers. The big FO one did the trick. Now we use a simple bolt system. The door is cheap and flimsy so a good kicking would push out the slats. There is rarely anything in a toilet to use to break out with. My neighbours toilet is a good sturdy wooden door (handle the correct way around) and if locked in it would be a hard job to break out of it.
  21. He is also the self appointed minister of defence.
  22. Especially all those lazy people who used to work in the decimated tourist industry, whose jobs were lost and destroyed by the current government. You know the ones. The girls that worked in the bars, the businesses who supplied the alcohol, soda and soft drinks, the people who used to deliver it, the people who used to work supplying food, the security staff, the car parkers, the guest houses and the small hotels, the shops that used to sell to tourists, the taxi, motosai and tuk tuk drivers etc. The bar, guest house and small hotel owners. My bitter sarcasm and rant is over for a while.
  23. To get in through the steel roller shutters at the front of the house, as in the picture below.
  24. It could well have been deadly if her sister had not called and got no answer. Fortunately they were able to break into the house, no mean feat with those roller shutter doors which were probably padlocked at the bottom on the inside. Good for the police to be able to get in and rescue her and good for her sister for calling them.
  25. It was and it was the only EBook by that author I have.
