  1. I suppose that is sarcasm. The reference to being forced was in response to the poster that said nurses should be an essential service and not allowed to go on strike ergo forced to work against their will, but obviously you didn't read my post before having a rant. I suppose you think that it's OK for nurses to be paid less than they are worth. Remember that when you end up in hospital and suffer from understaffing. I read somewhere that there is a shortage of more than 30,000 nursing staff in the NHS. Your suggestion for work that offers better pay and conditions that nurses can do? I think librarians get better pay, but not needing thousands of them.
  2. Sooooo, why is she on all those tv shows then?
  3. Wouldn't ever have done that, as she would have driven and I was terrified the time I let her drive in a town. Feared she was going to ram cars. I let her drive on back roads with no traffic. Taking a shortcut on the MHS loop I took a wrong turn ( no signposts ) and ended up in middle of nowhere village. Had to go back and road so bad she started crying. Worst road I drove in LOS was forest road, and took 3 hours in 1st and second gear. I enjoyed it, but not sure if she did. On the way to it we asked some locals for directions and they told us not to use it as too bad, but quite a few houses built along it.
  4. LOL. Been divorced for years.
  5. Agree. In Lamphun, house across road was "worth" a million baht, but every piece of wood eaten by termites.
  6. 3 houses and property worth more than three million baht say wealthy. The gossips will make sure everyone knows it. And if everybody's that poor, who's going to rent them? People on Samui rent places to oversea visitors, don't they? And sacking/letting go the maid? Where does it say that? It's inferred. Owning and maintaining property in Thailand is hard work. Finding someone you can trust is the number one problem. Didn't work for them leaving no one to keep an eye then, did it? It's all the victim's fault. IMO they had options to protect the properties and did none of them. IMO the damage done was because the burglars had a personal hatred for the owner.
  7. Is that "PM"? It's a public forum and people that take the time to read posts do so because they are interested. It's polite to get back and let those that did read the thread know what happened. Anyway, it was more a general comment about the many posters that ask for advice and never get back, not just yourself.
  8. Soooo, the BBC considers "rapping" is something that makes the world a better place. If that's true, the BBC has fallen even lower in my estimation, despite thinking it couldn't go any lower.
  9. Didn't see any of that, so, did Fox make the claim that the machines "cheated" or did they just report that other people had said so?
  10. You'd have to change the law then. It's lawful for unions to call strikes.
  11. As a nurse I scorn your contention that I could have been forced to work against my will. Paying nurses what they deserve will remove any desire to strike.
  12. Latest I saw on the subject said it was only referring to firefighters and ambulance drivers. That would make sense.
  13. Agree 100%. Back about 30 years seemed it was better than Thailand for easy girls ( depending on where one was ). For starters, what western unmarried couple will visit now?
  14. I can agree with you on Trump's record on Israel.
  15. Yes, he does have a right to run, just like any American born citizen. Are you saying that only your approved citizens should be allowed to do so?
  16. You didn't answer anything that you quoted. So I'll repeat- what power did the royal family have to stop the media pursuit in France? It was her choice to be there.
  17. Bring it on! Anyway, it's up to the DOJ to charge, or not. Interesting times ahead, and I'm stocking up on popcorn.
  18. Sooooo, why is she on all those tv shows then?
  19. ??????????? What power did the monarchy have to "protect" her from the media in France? Did you notice she wasn't part of the royal family any more? It was her choice to put herself in the spotlight, not the royal family's.
  20. The "easily offended" woke media industry has made cowards of many of us, and I assume those two took the easy way out, as I'm sure many would also do. Charles, especially, IMO is trying to make it as king in an age where his very existence is questioned regularly.
  21. I feel that I've experienced "a form of abuse" many times in my life. Should I go on tv and say so as often as possible?
  22. Given the possibility that everyone you know will die, how far do you want to go to oppose him when he's not ( presumably ) threatening your country with annihilation?
