  1. I have the same problem, Reload the page It solves the problem for me
  2. It is not difficult to do the math (subtract 543) but when I am doing research and have a long search page with many returns, I don't want to have to adjustment for every article , and then try to remember the adjustments. As you can see in my screenshots except for the time zone ,I had changed all the settings to US . This final setting that treetops send me I could not find anywhere and trust me I looked. But I was finally able to resolve the Issue and I'm very happy. Google seems to know what kind of pizza I ordered yesterday , you would think that all the info they have on me ,they would know what my calendar preference is , especially after I did dozens of searches on Google on how to set my calendar to Western ????
  3. Yea but none of the ones I wanted.????
  4. The problem with online trends is that predictive algorithms taylor's your search results to match your interests . The YouTube I see is entirely different than the YouTube you see, consequently biases that one might have get re-enforced. What one might consider to be a "trend" is usually only a trend in one's predictive algorithm buble. And it is difficult to escape. I have presently switched from Google search to DuckDuckGo because it does not keep personal information. I found that after doing a search on Google, You tube would be full of videos about relating to my Google search content. I often am hesitant to click on a Youtube video because if I do, all of a sudden I will find my personal YouTube page populated with similar subjects. So I log off my Youtube account and suddenly YouTube is entirely different. PS: Lex Friedman's opening monologue puts me to sleep. I suspect he pops a couple of quaaludes before he starts. His story is that he speaks so slow because be is being thoughtful, bus shouldn't he have thought of his opening monolog before he started his podcast?
  5. No, the breaking news is that it is a lot more hot this summer. " The agency added it is "one of the strongest" systems of its kind that the region has ever seen. " "Last month was the hottest June ever recorded on Earth July 13, 20235:10 PM ET" https://www.npr.org/2023/07/13/1187530636/last-month-was-the-hottest-june-ever-recorded-on-earth#:~:text=June 2023 was the hottest on record since 1850 June, exacerbates human-caused climate change.
  6. WooHoo!! Thank you thank you thank you!! Problem resolved,
  7. ailable in Lazada Macro has some good Australian beef , I think it is called Harvey , https://www.lazada.co.th/products/knorr-stock-cubes-beef-80g-80-i2267490001-s7613610389.html?c=&channelLpJumpArgs=&clickTrackInfo=query%3Aknorr%2Bbeef%2Bstock%2Bcubes%3Bnid%3A2267490001%3Bsrc%3ALazadaMainSrp%3Brn%3Acb6afc3bbbce676c6b9ebbc327535067%3Bregion%3Ath%3Bsku%3A2267490001_TH%3Bprice%3A149%3Bclient%3Adesktop%3Bsupplier_id%3A100030919%3Bpromotion_biz%3A%3Basc_category_id%3A14553%3Bitem_id%3A2267490001%3Bsku_id%3A7613610389%3Bshop_id%3A3230&fastshipping=0&freeshipping=0&fs_ab=2&fuse_fs=1&lang=en&location=Bangkok&price=149&priceCompare=&ratingscore=4.9375&request_id=cb6afc3bbbce676c6b9ebbc327535067&review=16&sale=108&search=1&source=search&spm=a2o4m.searchlist.list.i40.23686f14lTEMZo&stock=1
  8. A problem many have resolved here in Khon Kaen by not having a licence plate at all. Not a day goes by that I don't see a car or motorcycle without a licence plate at all.driving around. In addition it also solves the traffic camera problem.
  9. Thinking about this more, you can probably counteract the effect by running around the butterfly flapping your arms in the opposite direction., I would appreciate it If you could videotape and post the process . Strictly for academic research purposes
  10. Have you heard of the Butterfly effect? The one in your garden is probably trying to start a Hurricane in Florida. I suggest you intervene with whatever action you deem appropriate, lives could be . at stake. Do it, DO IT NOW! .
  11. Not always true. AIs suffer from a condition called hallucinations. It is something that people in the field are trying to fix but don't really know why it is happening. Much like some posters in this forum ???? "In the field of artificial intelligence, a hallucination or artificial hallucination is a confident response by an AI that does not seem to be justified by its training data. " https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hallucination_(artificial_intelligence)
  12. And all should had been challenged and perhaps were. My post was an academic at best, I full well realise that "might makes right" and that he who holds the gun , makes the rules .
  13. You know what. It does not hurt to try. Many times the people manning the ticket booths are lo paid and have no inclination to argue with crazy farang LOL
  14. You could argue but that would also IMO be wrong, and would depend upon the criteria that determine greatness in the field .To determine greatness I use widely used criteria rather than personal taste. Perhaps compared to a Victor Hugo, Dostoevsky,or Solzhenitsyn, Or perhaps Nikos Kazantzakis's Last temptation of Christ. But, Salman Rushdie is by most metrics a great writer and is very much alive, his The Satanic Verses among many others is an acknowledged masterpiece , and controversial among some circles. Haruki Murakami. is one that I ,and many others considered to be a great writer his A Wild Sheep Chase, was superb detective story , These are just a couple....
  15. A catch 22 situation? By no means am I a Thai legal or constitutional expert, but I am sure the constitutionality of a law is not determined by those who endeavour to usurp the constitution, but by The Constitutional Court of Kingdom of Thailand. Of course such court might be stacked by coup sympathisers elected there by those who illegally gained power and as such those appointments would need to be challenged, or at nest should refute themselves on the grounds of partiality. I am sure PITA who is well educated knows all given the situation is making the politically correct decisions at this stage.
  16. Unfortunately you are not one of them, since your above statement at most indicates a logical fallacy, and a bit of confirmation bias. This thread may indicate the existence of some alleged or aspiring writers, but nothing I have seen of it indicates indicates the existence of "Great writers" among us. Since I have not read the whole tread and might have missed it , can you please indicate what lead you to the conclusion that confirmed your suspicion.
  17. A coup goverment I would hope is unlawful in Thailand and as such any changes they make to the constitution to maintain their unlawful attainment of power should also be unlawful and should also be challenged as such IMO
  18. Though that is true.It is also true that not all tourists are "farang", and not all "farang" are tourists as The Title of this thread is "Nong Ram beach upped farang price to 50 thb " and since I am a :farang" my experience is applicable. It also pays (pun intended) to mention that in every country I have visited , tourists pay a higher admission price , or you might say locals pay a lower price, All a matter of perspective. As a Florida resident, at the Florida parks I paid a lower price, This is also true to many places in the world we have traveled, At the Acropolis EU residents paid a lower price. Nothing controversial there. So if you can establish residence in Thailand also , by as I said showing a drivers licence and or house book, you might be able to get the resident discount. This will not work at any venue but it will work at enough of them to worth trying,
  19. Barfff, Now what am i going to do for the remaining 74 seconds
  20. From my windows settings Time zone : From my windows settings language and region. I am totally stumped and appressed with resolving this
  21. From my Google Chrome settings:
  22. So this is the search term at DuckDuckGo and this is the same search term at Google Chrome: So the problem must be with Google
  23. Not all but you you got to admit that some do. Others do for a paycheck. I often thought of writing a book , heck I read enough of them , I should be able to write one right? And with Chat GPT, I don't even need a 6th grade education, I have a kindle unlimited account you would not believe the crap it contains and every one of them has a four and a half star rating, How is that possible? I don't want to say but I have my suspicions Then Amazon has the nerve to have a search option where you search by ratings and the top search rating is four stars and up. I have never seen a book in some genre with less than 4.5 stars. Other than kindle unlimited I would never buy a book except from authors I am well familiar with. With kindle Unlimited I just read a few chapters and if it is "crap" ( which more often than not it is) I return it, But I would had been pissed if I had paid good money for it. And That does a disservice to serious writers such as you.
  24. I agree, I normally use DuckDuckDo but I switch to Google when I need better search results. I have run the same search term in both ant the Google returns were much more extensive.
