  1. No idea if it would actually work out but Grab allows you to pre-book a ride. I just had a look from DMK to Korat rail station and they quote THB2622 for a regular car, 3776 for an SUV. Could be a good option.
  2. Indeed, even though it's not been stated that way. But to describe him as a fugitive living in hiding is not very accurate.
  3. Indeed. The story in the Sun https://www.thesun.co.uk/news/33002118/thai-cops-detain-brit-husband-lady-hills-victim/ is also very different to the report on here. Seems the plod only want to have a chat with him....no mention of arrest, etc. for the moment at least.
  4. It must be deliberate. Every missed letter saves them money. At least for THB1,000 there some chance it might make it back. Maybe here next time....
  5. The answer must be yes because my apartment office do everything on PC's and produce that receipt for me. But where they click to get it I am afraid I don't know.
  6. They were suspended for arrivals by air in 2022.
  7. Irrelevant but the "retirement" visa for long term stays is for those over 50. So in their eyes you are already past it.
  8. Just put "None". Chances of them asking are close to zero. And if they do you have the answer for them already.
  9. Then just put Tourism. They really aren't interested in the details and chances are the TM6 is a figment of someones imagination anyway.
  10. Medical Tourism is one of their target markets. Why not put that.
  11. It is still there but it's reported in this thread that it has moved......
  12. 60 days exempt came in last year. Forget the visa.
  13. Well not really. The TM6 will or may eventually be replaced by the ETA and no real "tourist" ever has to worry about a TM30.
  14. That's obvious. Did you not think to ask him maybe while buying a cheeseburger?
  15. You'll get 60 days exempt entry anyway so the SETV doesn't actually bring anything to you. I wouldn't bother with it.
  16. Here's the example, hopefully someone will be along to explain where you go to get it....
  17. Have a look on Lazada. Search using your and there's a lot of very similar items. Looks like a ripoff of Giordano for what it's worth.
  18. I do. You will get your requested annual extension of stay.
  19. She can do that and return on a 60 day exempt entry. Or she can go to an immigration office and get a 30 day extension without leaving the country.
  20. Japan has an online arrival app which allows you to complete entry documents in advance and does not require an internet connection to display them. Works very well. They also have paper forms for non phone people. As long as these people are kept separate from those that got themselves organised in advance it works. Back in the day one of the biggest frustrations on arrival at BKK was being stuck behind people in the queue who hadn't filled in their TM6 (at all/properly) and were holding things up filling them in at the desk.
  21. Well done. You qualify for the "i never had a problem" camp.
  22. The 2 land entry rule has gone so he need not be concerned with that. If he makes the trip independently he may find he has to stay in Laos 1 or 2 nights, not the worst thing that could happen to you. Getting a tourist visa is not as easy as it was, now Laos is an e-visa country it is uncertain exactly how long he'd have to wait there for the visa. In any case he will get a 60 day exempt entry anyway which can also be extended so a tourist visa offers little added value.
