  5. What will you be applying for at immigration? Will you be applying for a non-o visa or a extension of stay or both. Proof the 800k baht came from abroad is only needed to apply for a non-o visa. Immigration requires proof it came from abroad by way of a transfer into a Thai bank. If you already have a bank account you should transfer the 800k baht into it. You can have a cashiers check sent to Bangkok Bank in New York and have it credited to your account. See: https://www.bangkokbank.com/en/Personal/Other-Services/Transfers/Transferring-Into-Thailand/Foreign-Remittance If you have a Bangkok Bank account it is also possible to transfer funds into it via the New York branch but it has to be in the IAT format for ACH transfers. See: https://www.bangkokbank.com/en/Personal/Other-Services/Transfers/Transferring-Into-Thailand/Transfer-money-from-US-to-Thailand-via-Bangkok-Bank-NewYork-branch
  6. The insurance for a non-o visa for retirement was added when they started allowing entries for retirement back in 2020. You only need 90 days of the insurance to do the application. Or if you do not want to deal with it your could enter visa exempt and apply for the non-o visa at immigration.

You do hot have to use a agent to apply for a visa or extension of stay if you can meet the requirements.
  9. If you get a tourist visa to use for entry the risk of being questioned on entry or denied entry are much less than entering visa exempt. Not sure about the availability of flights to Chiang Mai at this time.
  10. The marriage certificate is a Kor Ror 3. A Kor Ror 2 is the marriage registry that contains the names of you witnesses and the approver of you application. A print out of it from an Amphoe is proof you are still married. If divorced you would not be able to get the printout of it.
  11. You will need a re-entry for the under consideration period that will be valid to the report back date. Since you are applying at a immigration office in the northeast your 30 day under consideration period will start from the day your current extension of stay ends.
  12. It should not be a problem to get the 60 day covid 19 extension. You will complete a affidavit that has tick boxes for the reason you need one. No financial proof is needed.
  13. You could apply for a non-o visa but you have to do it on or before you have 15 days remaining on the 30 day entry or the 30 day extension of it. Requirements are here: https://www.immigration.go.th/wp-content/uploads/2022/02/6.FOR-PROVIDING-SUPPORT-TO-OR-BEING-A-DEPENDANT-OF-A-THAI-CITIZEN-SPOUSE-VISA-NON-O.pdf

  17. Since you have been out out of the country for a considerable amount of the immigration may accept 10 months of transfers. It is written the rules that it can be done with 2 or 3 months if is the first extension but immigration often do not want to do it. If you enter on a non-o visa in August you could get do the 2 additional transfers needed before applying for a one year extension near the end of the 90 day entry from the non-o visa.
  18. I thought you were asking about now. You should be able to get multiple entry non-o visa at the Thai consulate in Savannakhet next year. Tiy would have to leave the country every 90 days to get a new entry from the visa. You could also a apply for a 60 day extension to visit your wife for each of the 90 day entries.

  22. It probably will not be much longer that the border crossings are closed. You may be able to get a multiple entry non-o visa in Ho Chi Minh City shortley. If you have not gotten a 60 day extension to visit your wife since you last entry to the country you could apply for one to get more time.
  23. Everything will be the same. Photos and all the supporting documents.
