How early you can apply for the extension of stay depends upon the office you will be applying at. Some will do it up to 45 days early and others 30 days. If using the 800k baht in the bank option it will need to be in the bank for 2 months. You current extension of stay will be valid to the day it expires. -

For a visa exempt entry this is is what a embassy states. "• Travelers entering Thailand under the Tourist Visa Exemption Scheme must possess adequate cash of or equivalent to 20,000 Baht per person or 40,000 Baht per family." Source: https://thaiembdc.org/visaexemption/ For a tourist visa it is the same.

If you have a valid visa for entry to Thailand a return or onward ticket is not required when boarding your flight or on entry to the country. If entering visa exempt it is required to have a ticket out of the country. Same if applying for a visa on arrival. -

None of those are required to enter the country now. -

Some embassies are wanting 3 months of medical insurance to apply for a non-o visa based upon retirement. -

Not need for appointment and I don't there are appointments for what you will be doing. That depends upon the office you do it at. Maybe best to update your bank bank and make a copy io it incase is asked for. -

That is for those that just entered the country. If you have had the 800k baht in the bank for a long time they will waive the transferred from abroad requirement. -

A non-oa visa is only valid for one year from the date of issue. You will not have a problem entering the country.
