Which bikes and riders irritate you?
gargamon replied to OneMoreFarang's topic in Motorcycles in Thailand
I just hate those old falang's that ride their 125 clicks flat out all the time, weaving in and out of cars, passing on the left, jumping to the front of the line at lights, etc... Oh, wait a minute. That's me. -
What Movies or TV shows are you watching (2023)
gargamon replied to CharlieH's topic in Entertainment
I think the series is finished and the movie wraps things up. -
You don't want your android box to upgrade to the latest android. Google continually adds restrictions that will make much of what works on Android 11 won't work on android 12 or 13. The old adage applies where if it ain't broke don't fix it.

Seagrams Crown Royal Canadian Whiskey. From where may I purchase it?
gargamon replied to DudleySquat's topic in Pattaya
I saw a documentary on bourbon production a few years back. To prepare the barrels(casks?) before putting the alcohol in they would take a blow torch and scorch the inside of the barrel to give the characteristic bourbon taste. Frankly, I don't think I need exposure to all those carcinogens created when scorching the wood. -
I won't eat any beef in Thailand. Lucky for me I'm back in Canada a couple of times a year and can get some wonderful Alberta Beef then, some of the best on the planet. Reminds me, need to get to Costco to get some for the weekend BBQ. Supposed to get to 18C.

It's really pretty simple. Change TV's. Unplug your android box on the old TV and move it to the new one. Done. No configuration needed on new TV. Also if traveling much easier to carry android TV box than android TV. Further, most android TV's that are supposed to be smart really aren't very. Usually hobbled by the TV manufacturer.

Antarctic ocean currents heading for collapse, report warns
gargamon replied to Social Media's topic in The Green Forum
For all you people that only follow conspiracy theories, and you know who you are, there were a couple of guys in the 90's that wrote a book called “The Coming Global Superstorm“. The authors were quite famous for their conspiracy theories. Kind of hard to believe they got it right for once. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Coming_Global_Superstorm First, the Gulf Stream and North Atlantic drift would generate a cordon of warm water around the North Pole, which in turn holds in a frozen mass of Arctic air. Second, if the North Atlantic drift were to shut down, that barrier would fail, releasing a flood of frozen air into the Northern Hemisphere, causing a sudden and drastic temperature shift. The book discusses a possible cause of the failure of the Gulf Stream: the melting of the polar ice caps could drastically affect the ocean salinity of the North Atlantic drift by dumping a large quantity of freshwater into the world's ocean Bell and Strieber contend that such destabilizations have occurred before, and cite seemingly impossible engineering feats by ancient civilizations which must have been catastrophically destroyed since they do not appear in the historical record. Among their examples is the archaeological ruins of Nan Madol, which the book claims were built with exacting tolerances and extremely heavy basalt materials, necessitating a high degree of technical competency. Since no such society exists in the modern record, or even in legend, the society must have been destroyed by dramatic mean While other explanations beside a global meteorological event are possible, a correlating evidence set is presented in the woolly mammoth. Strieber and Bell assert that since mammoths have been found preserved with food still in their mouths and undigested in their stomachs, these animals must have been killed quickly, in otherwise normal conditions. They were preserved so well by quick freezing, which is taken as evidence of a rapid onset of a global blizzard or similar event. s.s.event. -

Go watch the 2004 film “the day after tomorrow“ for a Hollywood take on this issue. -
My nordvpn expires end of this month. I do not have auto renewal turned on. I receive an email every few days with an enticing low cost. So if you want offers you need to turn off auto renewal. That said, I will not be renewing nordvpn as their services are somewhat lacking when doing torrents, specifically no port forwarding. I don't use torrents much, but older, poorly populated torrents tend to be unattainable with nordvpn turned on but work fine with it off. This is due to the lack of port forwarding. There's a list of VPN providers here that show capabilities: https://torrentfreak.com/best-vpn-anonymous-no-logging/ I've begun narrowing down my list but have a few weeks so can't report my decision yet.

Quite nice. It seems the melting and smoke points are a bit lower than what I was smoking in Thailand(definitely unscientific). Smoother to smoke though. Much less residue left over after it's consumed too. They had two different versions of shatter in the shop. Both about 80%. I notice that this one was made from sativa. Is indica/sativa still a thing when it's been extracted/purified to this level? Tried a very small bit last night with good results. Since my dosage of kief (approx 40% THC) is around 30mg I'm going to do 15mg of this this evening. Should work very well.

Trump has pleaded not guilty to 34 counts of falsifying business records
gargamon replied to Scott's topic in World News
The “teflon“ don has turned into the “velcro“ don. After a lifetime of weaseling out of his legal problems it looks like everything is now going to stick. This is only the beginning. The chickens are coming home to roost. -
A different way to look at it. Buy stronger herb so you smoke less and therefore have less strain on your lungs. Depending where I am, I smoke kief or shatter, both which require (for me) a single hit for a couple of hour buzz.

I use keepass2 and associated clients, depending on device and OS. The password database is kept in the cloud (Google drive for me) with a local copy on each device for when there's no internet connection. The clients I use are: Linux: Keeweb Android: Keepass2android Windows: Yucch. Why would anyone still be using windows...

Six in 10 Americans don't want Trump to be president again: 2024 poll

So you're comparing Trump to Jesus, and clearly think they are equivalent. Clearly it's time to drink the kool-aid.
