Question for anyone who lives in or owns an apartment at Hillside 4
I don't live in Hillside 4, but it is a very common problem in condo's up and down the country. It is the result of very poor workmanship and possibly, the cause is due to the floor being laid and then realizing the pipework has not been installed. The result is a hammer and cold chisel to make the holes. The plumbing is then laid and cement to fill the gap, but no correct sealant used. The blame is squarely on the shoulders of the builder. Unfortunately, he is possible long gone. Solution??????

Poll Should Thailand legalize brothels?
"By legalizing brothels and putting it all in doors it would improve Thailands image." How many brothels would be required? Where would they be sighted. Would they have a sign saying "SHORT TIME ONLY?" How long would the queues be, and would they be designated for such use, cordoned off on the sidewalk?

Price of Letter by DHL to the UK
All kinds of reasons why that can be disputed. Post a letter via EMS to the UK on Monday am in Banpet. Wednesday am and Thailand Post reports letter arrived UK 12:15pm. UK post says it is still awaiting departure form country of origin. The following Tuesday UK post says the item beliveredn13.56 pm. Total cost B1250:00 Two weeks later, letter to the same address in UK takes 5 days. The total cost B450 DHL letter to same address a month later. FOUR DAYS @ B550. A small parcel to same address in UK took 5 days. Weight 1/2Kg cost B1500 via DHL. I know where my money goes!

Thailand to Regulate Ride-Hailing Apps Within 90 Days for Fairer Competition
I use Grab where I live, as calling a regular cab incurs an extra 20B, and possibly more. I can hail a taxi and pay 120B to go to the town. I call a grab to go to the same place and it costs 95B. A taxi to the hospital is always 130b. By Grab its 95b and the car is ALWAYS cleaner. Its a no brainer.

Slogan Turned Trap: The Enduring Damage of “Don’t Betray Your Own” in Police Culture
I have been here few years now, and am close to the end of my time, 'Possibly'. I really do not think I will ever see this kind of change? I wouldn't expect to see any change in maybe two hundred years, because the mind set is too ingrained.

An issue with Revolut transfers
The issue was my placement of the VPN. It showed me in another country and therefore blocked any use of the app. Security of the highest order, although all past transactions were visible with totals of each A/C, I was totally unable to do any banking business. I cannot blame Revolut for my mistake, they were being rightfully careful.

Technology and food
Each to their own. I am not criticizing. I like the occasional KFC, but it is very rare. As to McDonald's, I would rather you than me.

Technology and food
Joined up thinking I guess. Governments are not so good at that in many cases.

Technology and food
Looks like you only eat junk food, so the more the merrier I guess!😁

An issue with Revolut transfers
Was this a card transaction or did you use the phone for the transaction? I always use my Revolut card and state to the till operator, "Thai Baht," to avoid any confusion. I have never paid fees when using the card, When transferring money from abroad to a Thai bank, I first transfer the amount to the Thai A/C on the phone, then transfer that Thai mount to the Thai bank. The total fee for this transaction is approx 120B. DO NOT transfer on Sat/Sunday or the fees will really be over the top. I don't have a bricks and mortar bank in the UK, only the Revolut bank. All my incomes, except two, are paid into Revolut and have been for the past 7 years with no problems on their side. I did have one of my own making. I use a VPN on the phone occasionally and forgot to turn it off. Total bloody confusion for almost a week, before I realised what was wrong! Getting old has its down sides!

Bangkok Teacher’s Brutal 200-Squat Punishment Lands Student in Hospital
Depends on the person doing the squats, how they were monitored, if at all, and whether the squatter was given water or not in this heat? I get the impression this was done in a class room or other place out of general view, or there may have been questions asked had another teacher seen this punishment?

Slow mail from UK recently ?
I don't use Thai mail and my family in the UK don't use Royal Mail, due to the overly excessive time it takes. We now use DHL and in most cases is around the same price, but only takes 4 to 5 day max either direction. A couple of months ago, my UK bank posted a replacement Debit card. I believe it may be on its way to Mars. After much persuasion, I manage to get the bank to agree for my grand daughter to collect the replacement. Needless to say, 4 days later DHL delivered.

Recent trip to UK with Qatar air- A very sad, heartbreaking visit.
He doesn't need to prove himself right. You have done it for him in your previous post. Quite honestly, I wouldn't go back the UK for all the rice in china. I give it 10 to 15 years and British white people will be a minority. It was a dump when I left 30 years ago and the only thing it has been good for since, is just getting worse. There was once a time people could look forward to the future. All they can do now is look back on a once glorious past, with envy.

Thai Schoolboy Allegedly Uses AI to Create and Share Nude Images of Classmates
Possibly a missed point here? Have the parents been encouraging his computer studies, but maybe not aware of his advancement into AI development? All kids are curious animals, so think back to your own childhood. Did you tell your parents everything, and especially about your becoming aware of the opposite sex? Kids here today are at the stage I was perhaps 70 years ago, there are some things you just don't talk about, even among friends.

Thailand's Grim Motorcycle Death Toll Sparks Helmet Campaign
"The financial burden of treating these injuries totalled 7.827 billion baht, with motorcycle-related injuries responsible for 80% of these costs." That is a lot of cash, so one has to assume it is the cash amount, driving this helmet awareness campaign? It certainly doesn't appear to be in concern for the motorcyclist. The rainy season contributes to at least 20% of these 'accidents', because of the state of the roads. Riding in the rain is an art in itself, but having to dodge POTHOLES, or be thrown off because of them, is the responsibility of the local government. At least 50% of the problem is down to the serious lack of rider training, the responsibility of the main government. And the last 30%? Laid squarely at the feet of the police. Why! Well we all know they are about as much use as BOOBS ON A FISH! I could go on, but the dent I was intent on making in the brick wall, is not working as planned.
