  4. Bought a lot of batteries since I have been here. Tried the 'premium', maintenance free, yada yada yada Now use Thai made batteries, and at the first sign of low voltage replace them. Weekly check with a multimeter will tell you when it is starting to go. No drama, no excess cost, just easy peasy way to go.

  6. Stayed a week the times I went. You have to get a transponder for the ERP fitted to your bike, and pay up front for the tolls on the roads in SIN. https://onemotoring.lta.gov.sg/content/onemotoring/home/driving/ERP/ERP.html And most police do not wear uniforms, so ... That said I find the place a bit sterile - too spit and polish, manicured within an inch of its life. Like a little grunge me !
  7. Know some people in KL so not a problem. Many custom bike shops that specialize in HD The most beautiful girl I have seen in my life walked out of a store in front of me while I was on my way to take a foto of the Towers. Mixed race I am guessing - Chinese, Malay, maybe some Indian. Stopped me in my tracks. She looked at me, and a smile crossed her lips. Been 15 years and I still think about her.
  8. Correct
  9. There is always a way. My first HD - I found out years later - was stolen in Japan and shipped here by air. It had a totally legit green book, and I never had any trouble paying the road tax and compulsory insurance. When I sold it the new owner had zero problems also.
  10. Any PEA main office. Don't know about places in malls, etc
  11. You're welcome. This is the purpose of Forums - help others. But, of course, any time you have multiple people doing anything, there are bound to be some A's come-a-callin' More people - more A's 555
  12. Here in LOS or at the border ? If at the border then there are shops right there to purchase insurance from. This is similar to the Gov't insurance available here, limited coverage. Talk to your insurance company and see if they will offer coverage for you and your bike in a foreign country.
  13. She will only need her Thai ID card I only use my pink card here in CNX - no COR - even get my name in the blue/green books in Thai !
  14. Complete rebuild ? Bearings, clutches ? Gears if required ?

  16. I would be surprised if someone in your village, or the next one, would not be able and willing to provide the service. Ours has 4 or 5 - that I know of, wife probably knows more.
