  1. Peak rightism, reacting to a headline and nothing more.......oh, and then lying a bit (a lot) to make it sound worse than it was. It wasn't advertising for "more Sharia Judges" though was it? It was a low paying administrative and secretarial role at the Manchester Community Centre in their Sharia community department. Nothing to do with the government other than them hosting a job seeking portal for companies to advertise for positions. And it was a position being advertised on this Find A Job portal by an independent registered charity. A charity's administrative position. I assume you don't subscribe to the Telegraph so you haven't read the link you posted. Headline, react, exaggerate, then shout about it. Admit you didn't look in to "the ruckus", you just listened to a foghorn like Farage bleating about it and twisting it for his own political ends.
  2. 1. Not really any of your business. 2. It was convenient for me at the time. 3. I don't need to stick to my own, I am not paranoid about mixing with other people, so I didn't give it a second thought. It was just a place to live. When I go back to the UK now I stay with my brother in a predominantly Turkish area of London and I am very happy there too. Despite what you read in your funny sources, most Brits are happy mixing with other cultures - we grew up with it.
  3. Pretty sure that's not the reason. I lived in Stamford Hill for several years and the huge jewish community there do not integrate at all - not a bit. But if a Muslim doesn't fully integrate it is an offence to British values or, or, or.......something. Rubbish. No he isn't. And no we shouldn't.
  4. I'm a big fan of EVs but definitely can't agree with you. I filled up my 54 litre XC40 this morning with 50 litres. I was literally in and out in 5 minutes. PTT, attended to right away, three minutes to pump, a minute or so to pay with a QR, receive some cumbersome bottles of water and off I went. It is funny how the people on each side of any argument love to exaggerate the positives and negatives. There is simply no way it takes anywhere near 15 minutes to have your petrol car filled up. Just as there is no way that sitting in a smelly rattly Fortuner for 800kms straight is something anyone would ever do.
  5. And jews in the UK have Batei Din which is almost directly equivalent to Sharia Councils, similar responsibilities, similar legal standing. Why are people not squealing about them? They are also allowed to pray and celebrate their festivals. WHy does no one squeal about that, but if you see Muslims celebrating their festivals......
  6. No, it just sums up what fantasies are in your head.
  7. Don't forget to check under your bed for leftists before you turn in for the night.
  8. Forgot your medicine this morning? Point out where I defended criminals. In fact I have highlighted several in this very thread. And where the hell did you get "terrorist supporting" from??? It's an insane leap.
  9. Yes, yes he did. Two countries, 4,000 miles apart who have probably never heard of each other. But it was a brutal conflict, people said it could never be ended, but he ended it. https://x.com/ThaiEnquirer/status/1969660710675476799 Surely the Nobel Peace Prize is a given now?
  10. More important than the whole fascist / free speech / MAGA debate.........when did Americans decide "pre-empt" meant taking something off the telly? Was a pre-emptive strike on Iraq taking them off the TV?
  11. No. These are fully electric. Those ones were NGV. And come on, that was in 2016. And there aren't any buses yet as it hasn't gone out to tender.
  12. Yeah yeah, of course. Which freedoms have been lost and how is wrapping yourself in flags, getting lagered up and pissing against buildings going to get them back exactly?
  13. No it isn't. It's perfectly legal as long as the road has two lanes or more.
  14. I imagine there's one route that will keep it.
  15. US state senator arrested in Hong Kong for possession of a weapon travelling through an airport. HK officials swooped in to protect their homeland. https://www.theguardian.com/us-news/2023/oct/24/us-state-senator-arrested-hong-kong-pistol God bless Hong Kong.
  16. American couple arrested in Mexico for fraud. Mexican officials swooped to protect their homeland. https://edition.cnn.com/2025/03/27/us/michigan-couple-mexico-timeshare-payments
  17. Do you also follow news of American criminals? Or do you only exclusively live on foreign criminal news? It is quite disturbing the level of obsession you have to be honest.
  18. More tariffs are the answer. USA! USA! USA!
  19. You're funny, everything that you disagree with must be "the left". So Twitter was "the left"?? You know it was a publicly owned company, right? Did all the thousands of individual shareholders get together one day and decide they were "the left"? Was there a shareholder meeting to decide this that you can point to? One of the major shareholders was Prince Alwaleed bin Talal. How left is he?
  20. Thoughts and prayers.
  21. I would call this one form of making something up out of thin air.
