Here's just a few - and there are many more of them. And incidentally, if Trump claims not to know its authors, his memory must really be going - most of them were in his administration. A look at the Project 2025 plan to reshape government and Trump’s links to its authors Trump disavows Project 2025, but he has long-standing ties to some key architects Trump seeks to disavow 'Project 2025' despite ties to conservative group Trump is trying to distance himself from Project 2025 -- but its architects helped shape his RNC party platform

Here's a list of all the things Michelle Obama and others that know her (including her husband) have said about the chances of her running for president. "April 26, 2012 - At a White House event, a child asked Obama whether she ever plans to run for office. "Absolutely not," the then-First Lady responded." May 29, 2012 - When the hosts of The View asked Obama about rumors that she'll run for office, she said, "Those are other people's rumors." "I am not interested in politics," she continued. "Never have been." September 25, 2012 - [Michelle Obama stated:] "It takes a lot of patience to be president of the United States. I'm not that patient." May 30, 2014 - Sitting for an interview, President Barack Obama restated what he said on The View: "One thing I can promise you: Michelle will not run for office. June 23, 2014 - When talking to ABC News, Michelle Obama again shut down the possibility of her run, saying that she is "definitely not" seeking higher office and instead plans to focus on service. June 29, 2014 - NBC News asked a senior White House advisor, Valerie Jarrett, whether there was any chance of another Obama candidacy. "No," Jarrett said flatly. "I'm absolutely, 100% positive that will never happen." January 14, 2016 -During his first visit to Baton Rouge, Louisiana, someone asked President Obama not about his policy platform, but about his wife's desire to run. "Let me tell you, there are three things that are certain in life: death, taxes, and Michelle is not running for president," he said. March 16, 2016 - Michelle Obama spoke at a South by Southwest festival in Austin, Texas, and again clarified her stance: "I will not run for president. No, nope, not going to do it." December 19, 2016 - Oprah asked Michelle Obama if she ever plans to seek office. Obama [...] said that she would not subject her children to another grueling political campaign. "I'm not coy," she said. "I've proven that. I'm pretty direct. If I were interested in it, I would say it. I don't believe in playing games." April 27, 2017 - A Q&A in Orlando, Florida, turned to the question of a possible Obama run, and again the former FLOTUS brought the answer back to her family. "I wouldn't ask my children to do this again because when you run for higher office, it's not just you. It's your whole family," she said. April 5, 2018 - At a forum in Boston, Massachusetts, Obama said that Americans cannot turn to any woman and demand she run simply for the sake of making history. "There are millions of women out here who are inclined, who do have the passion for politics," she said. "I have never had the passion for politics. I just happen to be married to somebody who has the passion for politics, and he dragged me kicking and screaming into this arena." October 11, 2018 - Obama went on The Today Show to announce a new program, though again ended up answering the question about a potential political bid."I have never wanted to be a politician," she said. "It's one of those things that nothing has changed in me to make me want to run for elected office." November 13, 2018 - In her memoir, Becoming, Obama immortalized her disinterest in running for office in ink: "I'll say it here directly: I have no intention of running for office, ever." March 18, 2019 - On an episode of Conan O'Brien's podcast, Obama said that eight years in the White House was more than enough. When O'Brien asked if she'd throw her name into the mix in 2020, she answered with a resolute no. November 14, 2022 - Obama told the BBC that the question of whether she'll run for office is the one she hates being asked most. Still, she clarified her position: "No. I'm not going to run." April 24, 2023 - In a more recent interview, Oprah repeated her question, this time asking about 2024, not 2020. Again, Obama said that she has "never expressed any interest in politics. Ever." March 5, 2024 - Obama's communications director, told NBC that Obama supports Biden's bid for reelection and has no plans to run. She gave the same statement to Business Insider on July 5." I don't know what anyone else takes from all that, but I take it to mean she has absolutely no interest in running.

Not quite sure why you would need to ask that, when it was accurately reported on by almost every news outlet in the world (reading difficulties, perhaps?) but since you've asked, here it is. Trump was found guilty of 34 counts of falsification of business records in the first degree, which is a felony offence.

To conspire means to, "make secret plans jointly to commit an unlawful or harmful act." This was neither done secretly (it was all completely out in the open - I read about it days before the second round of voting) nor was it illegal or harmful - in fact I'd say it was highly beneficial to France as a nation. Tactical voting is a time-honoured practice in many parliamentary democracies around the world, there's nothing illegal or harmful about it. And the voting figures show that a sizeable majority of the French electorate wanted exactly this result, so plainly, their hearts and minds were won over to this outcome.

US government tempts RTA with fleet of F-16 fighter jets
GroveHillWanderer replied to snoop1130's topic in Thailand News
If Thailand wants more jets, they'd be better off with the Swedish Gripens. They seem to be a better, more capable fighter aircraft, based on various aviation articles about them. The Saab Gripen is able to Dogfight and Win Against (Almost) Any Dissimilar Aircraft SAAB's Gripen C/D shines in Alaska Red Flag exercise -
Not in Thailand. As stated in the Workpoint article, "he stepped out to smoke near the train door."

Again with the mis-characterisations. Nobody on here has been predicting a swift Ukrainian victory and nobody (that I can recall) has talked about the F-16's as being a game changer.* If you could point to where anyone has said either of those things, I'd be grateful. *Indeed, I have said I think that Gripens would be a better option than F-16's.

They most certainly do. A number of examples of such fires occurring in Thailand have been posted on this forum within the last six months or so. Also, both the Luton airport and Liverpool Echo Arena car park fires, that destroyed around 1,500 vehicles each, were started by parked ICE vehicles that caught fire. About 1,400 cars destroyed in Liverpool car park fire Luton Airport car park fire that destroyed 1,500 vehicles was accidental, fire service report says

Julian Assange: Free-Speech Crusader or Threat to the West?
GroveHillWanderer replied to Social Media's topic in World News
That says WikiLeaks had made money on Bitcoin (and had raised money in Bitcoin). Again, it does not constitute evidence that he was given money in exchange for US secret documents. -
Julian Assange: Free-Speech Crusader or Threat to the West?
GroveHillWanderer replied to Social Media's topic in World News
There's nothing I can see in that article that says Assange was paid money in exchange for leaking US documents. Can you point it out to me? -
Well yes, as the article states, it would be too logistically complicated to introduce two completely novel, advanced fighter jet systems into Ukraine at the same time. My point is that out of the two systems, the Gripen is much better suited to the current conditions in Ukraine, so if you're going to choose one to introduce first, it should be the Gripen.

Julian Assange: Free-Speech Crusader or Threat to the West?
GroveHillWanderer replied to Social Media's topic in World News
Can you provide a link for that claim, please? Genuine request. -
Based on what was in the article, there's a possibility that another reason for the attack may have been that as stated therein, "According to the riders, the foreigner had parked near their base ..." I'm not saying that this is actually what happened but if a group of motorcycle taxi drivers had attacked a foreigner simply for encroaching on their turf and the police were involved it would surely serve their interests to claim, as a mitigating circumstance, that the foreigner had insulted them by using an obscene gesture.

Does the USA really always get its man?
GroveHillWanderer replied to SoCal1990's topic in ASEAN NOW Community Pub
It's not a phrase to start with, so on that basis alone, I'd say it's hardly likely to be true. For instance, a Google search for that phrase brings up precisely zero results. -
Richard Burrows, Phuket's 'Peter Smith', faces 30 more charges
GroveHillWanderer replied to webfact's topic in Phuket News
Can you provide a source for that? I've looked and can't find anything that would support that claim. On the other hand, I find several sites that specifically say that is not the case. Here's just one example. Navigating Historic Allegations of Sexual Abuse I think you're getting confused with the time limit on a person making a personal injury claim for sexual abuse, which would be a civil matter, and quite different from a criminal prosecution. Is there a time limit on bringing a sexual abuse claim? Guide To Personal Injury Court Proceedings -

Potentially "game-changing" battery unveiled at this year’s ASEAN Automotive Supply Chain Conference held in Thailand between June 18 and 19. New breakthrough EV battery goes 1 million miles, handles -22°F to 149°F As the article says, "If claims about the battery are true, this could be a game-changer for the EV market in the future." -
Classrooms in Louisiana Must All Display Ten Commandments
GroveHillWanderer replied to Social Media's topic in World News
There's nothing wrong with guidelines for proper ethical and moral direction in life. However that doesn't mean that one specific religion's tenets should should be displayed in state schools (and to the exclusion of all others) - especially when the US Constitution calls for maintaining a separation between church and state. It's not as if all these ten commandments are the best way to teach moral or ethical values for today's world, anyway. For instance, what useful moral value does, "Thou shalt not make unto thee any graven image," teach? Or, "Thou shalt not take the name of the Lord thy God in vain," or "Remember the Sabbath day, to keep it holy," for that matter? They express religious values, to be sure, but moral or ethical ones?
