  1. I’ve returned lots items to both Thai and Chinese sellers. Click return, upload photo, select pickup date. Done. 100% refund success. 0% disputes or rejections.
  2. Yes they did. But to their credit they’ve made the change pretty clear (big window with red text). Returns still work as easily as before. I just returned 2 orders last week and many more in the previous weeks. 100% success and refunded money.
  3. Just you. ???? I fought hard for years to remain app-less because I just didn’t want to. Now I use Apps and am happier for it. It’s just so much easier than web based. My prediction is that many companies will stop updating their web based portals (if they haven’t already). I like to tell myself that I’ve noticed this trend over the past few years.
  4. No difference. TM30 is required. (I have a yellow book.)
  5. Music Prayers Festivals Ghosts Dogs Pigeons The list of advantages goes on and on.
  6. You can find at HomePro (or any other such store). I just bought sealer & paint for the outside wall ground level.
  7. Lazada, no. JIB/ Banana/ etc, yes.
  8. One can’t get an Int’l License without a valid license. (An Int’l License is just an official translation of your license.)
  9. I’m curious what you need an Int’l Driver’s License for. (I was always under the assumption that holiday car rental agencies are content with your regular license.)
  10. #2 Yes, you can do it online. Only needed once when you arrive in Thailand (as I was told by Immigration). #4 Yes, taxes are being enforced. You can tell by many of the vacant/overgrown properties now being turned into orchards (lowest tax rate). Does wonders in making the whole area look much better.
  11. Just did. Doesn’t work. I only get report/share. Thanks for trying to help. Appreciated. edit: Let’s see. Tap grey arrow. Then three dots. 2nd edit: Hey hey. It does work.
  12. I only have “report” and “share” when I click on the three dots. Are you using a web browser (like I am)? Or is there an actual App? THX
  13. Web based? I’ve been looking for that for a while. Couldn’t make it work. But if you say so, I will try again. THX
  14. Can we bring this forum to 21st century functionality? Like adding a feature to edit (spelling) mistakes? edit: OK, I take it back and apologize. After some help, I figured it out. Thanks, bignok.
  15. I don’t know any gov’t department (foreign affairs, immigration, social security, driver’s license, etc) here in Thailand or back home in Canada that would accept pictures with glasses.
  16. I stopped using Aliexpress. Delivery has gotten way to expensive. Lazada/Shopee are decent Thai alternatives. If an item is only on Aliexpress I’ve decided that I can probably do without.
  17. Sorry to hear that. It’s a common occurrence here. I know from experience and others too. Nothing to be done. (We had a pack of dogs doing their rounds and fighting another pack on an hourly basis for years.) Maybe an envelope or a bottle as thank you for the puuyay and there might be more effort made on his behalf? Take the Mrs and ask what it would take for things to improve?
  18. Seems legit. There’s 30+USD tax for $200 orders from US to Canada. Depending in the item, you can expect around 25% import tax into Thailand, which is calculated on the value of the item PLUS the cost of shipping. (Yes, you’ll be taxed on the cost of shipping.) You can contact Thai Customs if you want the exact percentage. They are very helpful.
  19. Talk to the puuyay of your village. Don’t get your hopes up that anything can/will be done though.
  20. Interesting. Never heard of this. Why would one need this document? What for? Thanks.
  21. There is a rent-it store next to the main door of Thaiwatsadu (Chaengwattana). I would assume it’ll be similar at other Thaiwatsadu locations and other building supply stores (Global House, etc).
  22. Less than 10k at a temple. Unfortunately I’ve been to too many recently. If that’s too expensive, start saving now. Or just put 400k+10k into your savings account and keep it there.
  23. I don’t know how else to say it, trying to be helpful. If your cats roam, stop them. If they don’t, then end of story. Then go to your village headman and complain about the lady (knowing that you’ve done nothing wrong that can come back at you).
