This is laughable. Thailand already has one of the World's worst road fatality rates. Letting bars stay open later is hardly likely to contribute to that. Punters don't have infinite funds they'll still spend the same amount just at different times as has been shown in other countries that liberalise pub opening hours. The bigger issue facing Thailand is the lack of law enforcement, have the police apply the laws that exist more vigorously and equitably. That's the route to solving many of Thailand's problems, not more, or more restrictive legislation.

Having it charged to your relative's credit card is the obvious solution and probably the only option if you want instant payment by your relative. Alternatively your relative could send the money to you via Western Union, or Wise if you have a Thai bank account, and then you could pay cash directly.

Stocky replied to webfact's topic in Southern Thailand News
Good job they've completed the upgrade of Hat Yai's Rama 1 canal, it's now capable of handling 1,200 cubic meters of water per second, almost triple the original capacity. -
I was going to ask what sort of antivirus software you had loading at startup, the update request can flash a black command window. If it is Ccleaner, disable the autorun and see if you lose the command window - just to be sure.

Revolut is an e-money company that offers digital banking services, but not a UK bank, though it has applied for a UK banking licence. Consequently it presently isn't part of the UK Financial Services Compensation Scheme (FSCS) which would guarantee savings up to £85,000 nor has it signed up to the UK Contingent Reimbursement Model Scheme (CRM) which reimburses victims of authorized push payment fraud. Both Monzo and Starling are registered UK banks, so unlike Revolut, covered by both the FSCS and the CRM. Wise is not a bank and doesn't claim to be, it is a simply a peer to peer money transfer company.

Stocky replied to damole's topic in Jobs, Economy, Banking, Business, Investments
I had to go to the bank to set it up the first time, but when I switched phones I didn't, but as the OP said, I did have to turn wifi off and use the SIM for data connection. -
Freight train derailment in Songkhla Province
Stocky replied to webfact's topic in Southern Thailand News
I suspect it'll be their gt. gt. grand kids who might get the chance to sabotage them. Just a sad indication of the lack of urgency to resolve either the southern conflict or the antiquated railway. -
Check with the private hospitals, Bangkok, Sikarin and Rajindee.
