Good insight. Most servers can't and won't deliver unlimited speeds. You are not alone on the net so load balancing limits. The fastest ever seen was about 800 Mbit/s for an installation media download from Microsoft. Obviously mirrored/cached in Thailand. Fast Downloads that I see are about 300 Mbit/s. For most interactive use like streaming/video watching speeds above 50 are irrelevant anyway.

New M9 motorway to connect Bangkok districts in 2029
KhunBENQ replied to webfact's topic in Bangkok News
Written like it's an all new motorway. Guess it's an extension/branch? of the existing M9 ringroad. If construction is as slow as the notorious M6 then I will not live long enough to experience. -
Anyone know if Makro, Lotus, Big C accept contactless?
KhunBENQ replied to scubascuba3's topic in General Topics
I should start a logbook and stopwatch the minutes I spent waiting for the dimwits to get their payment organized. Sometimes giving up and look for another checkout -
Khon Kaen Police Probed for Fatal Shooting in Pursuit of Gunman

Khon Kaen province is quite big. Any details or reference to original report where that happened? -
EVA to LHR and BA to GLW not too bad and even a bit cheaper than Emirates in Economy. Total travel time 16:45 and 16:00. Terminal change at LHR but layover is more than 2 hours. I did a search on arbitrary dates (May 7 to June 4). Not used Skyscanner but Matrix Airfare search. https://matrix.itasoftware.com/search

Link times out.... Leave out the www: https://www.qpassport.in.th/#/landing This is a site for online appointment. You can even switch to English Give this to your partner to read: https://consular.mfa.go.th/th/page/21037-สถานที่ให้บริการหนังสือเดินทาง?menu=5f34ed0fd68bca0d54302fe5 As far as I know (quite sure) Thai people are free to choose which office they want to visit.

VPN IP Addresses Flagged For Abuse - This has been a problem
KhunBENQ replied to connda's topic in IT and Computers
Just tried an arbitrary US VPN address provided by NordVPN. No reports. You hesitate to name your VPN provider? For serious stuff from my last/home country I spent the extra money for a dedicated IP address (my address for two years). No reports. -
VPN IP Addresses Flagged For Abuse - This has been a problem
KhunBENQ replied to connda's topic in IT and Computers
I have some doubt about the relevance of this abuse website. My dynamic 3BB fixed line address has two entries from 2022 and 2021. Both based on reports by some website/forum operator. For a VPN it is crystal clear that you will get an IP address that is/has been shared by many. I tried some other blacklist check (https://whatismyipaddress.com/blacklist-check ). This lists the results of 60(!) blacklist checking sites and I get 60 green marks. -

Thailand’s “rental wife” trend draws attention
KhunBENQ replied to Video News's topic in Video News and Updates
Another thread on this (new) trend? Oh no! Some simply call it the worlds oldest business! -
At our Makro since years after they had the smaller size before. But for us too big. Takes long to use up. There have been some discounts at other shops for the smaller size. Hope it's not a clearance sale. Makro offers 500gr of Kellogs Corn Flakes for 76 Baht! Price skyrocketed to 145 at other shops. Nice but suspicious. Bet it will be gone.

More Wise problems
KhunBENQ replied to CallumWK's topic in Jobs, Economy, Banking, Business, Investments
No. It says "we paid out". There might still be obstacles of Thai banks in the way. For me completely normal that I get a "paid out" at 9 to 10 AM and money in the Thai bank at 2 PM. If you need a blitz use another system! -
These sidecars are another proof that traffic security is of no interest in this country. No additional light, no reflectors. A few hundred Baht is too much spent on security. Only a few smart users install proper lights on both sides and some reflectors. Some drive on dark roads even with both lights on the motorcycle broken. Driving on dark highways feels like a ghost train.

‘Wife for hire’: Inside Thailand’s shocking rental marriage trend
KhunBENQ replied to webfact's topic in Thailand News
The wording and content of the article has comical quality. So much drivel to describe different forms of prostitution. Start from 1600$ ???? >50000 Baht??? Up to about 4 million Baht???- 195 replies

The Chinese have made considerable and surprising progress (how could they with all the sanctions)? But the key company is ASML based in the Netherlands. And the Chinese are a long way ago to copy their machines and know how. Chinese are struggling to produce 28 nm chips while TSMC (Taiwan) is on 4 nm and progressing to 3 and 2 nm with the latest ASML machines.

Every full size TOPS at least where I have it from (self taken picture below). And I guess at the usual "Farang" shops (Villa, Foodland?). A dark version. Less cocoa butter as far as I know.

No powerful needed. My Honda Wave 110 ccm ("student bike" legally from 15 yr) comes close to 100 km/h. That's about the smallest you can get with combustion engine. Majority of rent scooters in Pattaya is 125 cc. Don't drink or drug and drive. Don't drive when tired. In the night take extra care. A pothole can cost your life.
