  1. That's all what PTT offers (depending on station). Pure petrol (named "benzene" here) is the yellow one (46.44). Rare as written. Gasohol 95 is the mainstream car fuel. Some use 91 for scooters.
  2. E10 is sold as "Gasohol 95" which should answer your question. 10% ethanol, 95 octane. Where do you see "E10" on the signs? I am not aware that any popular scooter or motorbike produced in Thailand would not run on Gasohol 95. Can't tell whether your model is happy with Gasohol 91 (91 octane, 10% ethanol). E20 is not specified/recommended for most motorbikes. What does the sign at the filler cap say? Pure petrol (benzene) without ethanol is quite rare nowadays only at major filling stations. Some historic/vintage models seem to depend on.
  3. "testmy.net" to Frankfurt (no Helsinki) with and without VPN. There is more to the story than the problem with the undersea cable.
  4. Repeated test to Helsinki via a US VPN location (Seattle), NordVPN
  5. Maybe it is. Just did a test to the same server with my 3BB fiber. Of course there is still no news about completion of the undersea cable works. But 0.13 download is exception. Just bad luck with True?
  6. Maybe overall but look at beach rd. Most Sois one way. Is there an exception?
  7. Soi Honey is an extreme case. If two big vehicles meet it's a spectacle. Such a narrow path in a busy area should have never been a two way. Soi Diana was not that bad in the past. But since they build this aesthetic masterpiece of a wall bordering The Edge condo it has become really bad. Again bigger vehicles can hardly pass there.
  8. That's interesting and in line with my suspicion. Better keep the money on their account than on mine or the manufacturer's account. So saying I won't pay before the sign plates are ready will not work. Where is the factory outlet
  9. That's a real life story. I have the insurance policy and now a copy of the paid invoice. Still don't feel too good doing distant travel. May even go on my old car which is well maintained (just had 160 tkm service). But not nice to have 700k dead capital in the garage? On a phone call today it was estimated that the proper sign plates would take four weeks. Again somewhat shady. A mate had a "request for waiver" letter to "all officials" from Nissan. The letter has the details about the purchase and registration being done by the dealer.
  10. At least for the letter I can confirm. Any branch. For the statement I haven't tried. 6 month statements are available on the spot. I think it should be possible to combine two or three statements for proof of transfer?
  11. Bet not a single players name will reach further than 500 km from Bangkok.
  12. Probably the most corrupt sports organization meets in Thailand. That fits to the atmosphere. Infantino from the same mountainous Swiss canton as his predecessor Blatter who is banned from the organization for proven cases of corruption. Infantino arrogant and corrupt like his predecessor in my opinion.
  13. Absurd but true. He has many fanboys among German right wing extremists and outright (neo)Nazis. I think they see him as a new fuehrer/strong man. I remembered one of them that on May 9 the defeat of the German Nazis was celebrated. Message with no response.
  14. That's what I will do tomorrow. Insist on expedited registration. In the meantime I get accustomed to Thai style and wait for the fine to come or not. As long as insurance is OK I don't loose sleep.
  15. I had red plates and logbook on my first car 12 years ago. And that is WHY I started the thread. No need to play clever dick. If you read trough the thread you see that the situation is not unusual.
  16. That's white collar 😁
  17. There have always been lists/maps about crime hotspots in Bangkok. Nice one from 2022 found at Bangkok Post. Not allowed to link here. Google for "bangkok crime map" and you should see it. Worst "Bang" is Bang Rak. There were list from police with roads prone to drug dealing, petty crime...
  18. Picked up my new car at the Toyota dealer today, fully paid. There is an insurance policy in my name and frame number of the vehicle. But as usual the car is not yet registered at the DLT (signed a power of attorney for the dealer) and sign plates might take a while. Dealer insured that there is no problem driving without plates and just show the insurance policy if stopped and advised against red plates. From observation its clear that quite frequently `vehicles without plates are on the road. But does anyone know written/unwritten rules about this?
  19. And many in the West react with appeasement policy as been with Hitler.
  20. It was a perfect money maker for years in Pattaya 2nd rd left to Central (down to beach). Left turn on red was forbidden, sign in Thai language only. When cops were in the mood they could milk the tourists on scooter with no effort. Some kill joy has then installed a sign in English as you describe.
  21. No. Other way round. There are signs explicitly forbidding left turn on red light. AND: of course you still have to stop and make sure there is no traffic. 99% ignored by Thai motorcyclist. Can turn always, anytime without even turning your head.
  22. Walk in a fancy mall, get a coffee to go in a paper/plastic cup. When finished try to find a garbage can. Drive along a highway and see the rubbish flying off from the car ahead. ... Many other observations possible. In the Central malls that I visit, it's a detective job to find a garbage can.
  23. Just don't forget your hoodie or scarf. When I used it, there was no way to avoid the arctic streams. Almost got sick from.
  24. These "jobs" by women from foreign countries are decades old (flower selling, begging with rent a baby etc.). Guess they have just forgotten about due to the COVID break. Good luck with the appeal.
