  1. Small python at BigC. Not as spectacular as wild boar from the past 😄
  2. Have to correct. It's always just "FOREIGN T/T" at Bangkok Bank. This full wording was the translation of the Kasikorn statement in Thai language.
  3. For BKB: statement up to previous day is available from 9AM on. At the desk you can request an exakt date range from/to. Not all employees seem to know.
  4. BKB has a one year statement which you have to order and wait 5 days or so! There the entries are in full lenght "International funds transfer". A statement up to 6 months back is issued on the spot. Different format showing "FOREIGN T/T". The Download statements (not acceptable for immigration) also show the short form. From a download statement:
  5. Indeed the part about the bank statements is a bit disturbing. Next week I will try my luck with statements from Bangkok Bank and show up at Khon Kaen immigration. One thing for sure: the statements clearly show international transfer in English. Now thinking to take all WISE transfer receipts with me in addition. The pile of paper grows daily. My printer ran out of toner today.
  6. Is that your thread? The op refers to a mentally disabled brother in law. And from the OP I don't see a high volume influencer. The op writes about "calling" and again what else then a prepaid 50 Baht SIM is needed! And of course he can "connect" (call) to every network. But as everybody seems to feed his own thread/needs etc I better stay out here.
  7. The OP is quite vague about the use of the SIM card. If it's NOT about data/internet usage there is no need to search for 12 month etc. then every prepaid SIM from the phone shops/booths is OK. Will need minimum use of 10 Baht/month at AIS(1/2call). Basically there is only the choice between AIS(1/2 call), True and DTAC (swallowed by True). If it IS about data usage I recommend online ordering a GOMO SIM (AIS network). I have one as a second SIM but had to ask the daughter to register (did work for Thai citizens only). The 150 GB (unlimited speed) one year package for 999 Baht incl. 300 min calls to all networks. Should suffice in most cases. Lower volume packages available. https://gomo.th/
  8. Be assured that there are poor people who use the money wisely. Some of them in the neighborhood.
  9. "Digital wallet" for listed goods/setvices and registered shops. Never had a plan how to implement that. Now handing out cash to the poorest and be surprised what happens. A lot of the money goes to the big players in retail and fill up the wallet of the super rich clans. Brilliant. The participating banks are stuffed with masses of people waiting under tents in the sun. The queue of the U-Turn to the local MAKRO was as long as never seen since Songkran. Avoid this weekend for shopping!
  10. There is no rain or wet road. No other traffic. Whether speed was excessive is hard to say from the video. So likely fell asleep (micro sleep). After nightshift? Always stunning what such a small tree can withstand.
  11. With the dissolved Thaismile Air the 60+ was always available for me. So indeed it would be another xenophobic impudence.
  12. Indeed they could interpret the rules in a way that 12 months is reserved to certain nationals. Making up their own interpretation: https://aseannow.com/applications/core/interface/file/attachment.php?id=576984
  13. ?? What road are you writing about? 304 is now a four lane divided highway all the way down. Quite busy at times with heavy trucks and all the rest. Speed limit 100 at large stretches. I am usually going through without a stop from Korat down to Kabin Buri. This is NOT a road that officially enters a national park, no turnpikes. As far as I know there is an entrance fee for the national park, different story, highway 2090, turn in from higway 2 (Mithrapap). The only money makers on 304 are potential traffic checkpoints where you are fined by the rules. Last time waved through traffic checkpoint some kms after Korat airbase and that was it.
  14. For this year I am prepared with both but I had asked at KK some months ago and was assured that 12 months is OK. Will try that first. We will see. If only they could make up consistent rules and publish appropriately!
  15. I started regular deposits just before last extension which was based on income letter from consulate. Why? 1) Want to avoid the effort with the consulate (don't live in Bangkok or Pattaya). 12 month deposit can all be done locally. 2) Always afraid consulate might stop issuing for lazyness/careless about their people abroad.
  16. No. I use it often, last time end of July.
  17. I went immediately in 2022 (30 day visa exempt). Border run Sunday 17.7.2022 (July). Apply Non-O on 19.7.2022 and got under consideration until 12.8.2022. Picked up Non-O on 6.8.2022 (didn't wait under consideration🙂). Issue date of Non-O was 2.8.2022 resulting in an "admitted until" 30.10.2022. Applied for extension on 4.10.2022 (almost as early as acceptable). Got extension until 30.10.2023. ... and so on So the new date for your extension is somewhat arbitrary and depends on when the boss signs the application. In my example 2.8. resulting in a look alike entry stamp admitted until 30.10. Since then 30 October is my extension due.
  18. Was all over the news in Europe. So no surprise for me that it skyrockets here. I use it rarely for salads. Of course not for the frying pan!
  19. Happened on Sukhumvit road. Two morons on a high speed race on Sukhumvit? Motorbike rider desperately try to get over for a right turn at the light?
  20. And you think that Makro, Lotus, Pizza Comp, 7/11, MK, TOPS, Robinson, .... are not "VAT registered"???
  21. The typical AN answer for all criticism on Thailand affairs. Save it for yourself.
  22. Mama's noodle stand shows final prices. Also supermarkets, chain restaurants, home stores etc. This 10+7 is a typical hiso attitude. Leaning to the American way of life. Domestic airlines much worse. Prices can easily double from advertised. AirAisia, Lion, Nok ... name them. Just a trick to get on top of the list, in-transparent prices. For Agoda absolute standard. When I see their prices I add 20% because it's easier to calculate mentally.
  23. All I know are certificates of INCOME provided. And that is/was indeed sufficient for extension of stay.
  24. Clearly against the written rules for extension of stay. Valid only for Non O-A visa issue from what I know. Other Non O have much lower requirements. And indeed no transfer needed. Completely different story for extension of stay. And for the visa application at your home country you need bank statements or the like to proof equivalent of 800k. Nothing to do with your consulate or the like. Source?
  25. And statement same day is a reason for me to change to Kasikorn. This order statement and wait 5 days or so at Bangkok Bank is really annoying.
