Do you have to wear a towel during a massage?
KhunBENQ replied to Conan The Barbarian's topic in ASEAN NOW Community Pub
Very shy masseuse might insist on wearing some boxers even for oil massage. Serious massage generally OK with a towel and the masseuse will meticulously place it Not so serious massage: masseuse will tear it off -

Last time I ordered Xatral was about a year ago (had operation and don't take anymore). The price incl. shipment for two boxes of 30 pills was 1935 Baht. So just under 1000 for one box. Ordered at Medisafe Bangkok. https://www.facebook.com/Medisafe.Pharmacy.Rama4/ Ordered via Facebook messenger chat. Paid by bank transfer. -

Indian tourist's holiday horror: Robbed, assaulted in Pattaya
KhunBENQ replied to webfact's topic in Pattaya News
Thieve? Did you read the words "assaulted" and "robbed". There is big difference between thieves and robbers. This is another category then gold chain stolen on Beach rd. White Rose (1/2) are in the very central of Pattaya and I don't think that such street robbery/assault was the rule some 10 / 15 years ago. Things have become worse.- 100 replies

Canadian Tourist Robbed During Night in Pattaya Hotel
KhunBENQ replied to webfact's topic in Pattaya News
Best type of safe can only be opened with the self configured number combination or the mechanical key. And at a decent Hotel not every cleaner has access to the big Hotel safe with the mechanical keys. But cheap hotels have cheap safes. And even for master code: not everyone please but trusted staff. -
American Tourist Involved in Car Crash Injures Man in Pattaya
KhunBENQ replied to snoop1130's topic in Pattaya News
Had to search for forum rules (tedious) before putting a link. It's not a forbidden source 😃 Sure the driver of the black sedan could have noted that something is coming on? -
American Tourist Involved in Car Crash Injures Man in Pattaya
KhunBENQ replied to snoop1130's topic in Pattaya News
Either a bad translation or wrong statement. I was scratching my head to understand what this could mean. Fortunately there is video from Pattaya News on youtube. (search for "Thai man suffers minor injuries after car accident with an American tourist in Pattaya") Very simple and trivial, check the mirrors! -

30,000 Baht Lost Due to Incomplete ATM Deposit in Bangkok
KhunBENQ replied to webfact's topic in Bangkok News
No because users are greedy for money. Makes them forget the plastic. Few will walk away without the money. Standard in many European countries. -
You look on your mobile or website? You are logged in/registered user? And your girlfriend? There is all kind of points/coupons etc. to the registered user. I will never get it.

Out of curiosity I studied the requirements for NL passport photo. It's amazing that EU countries can not agree on a single standard. Size NL and D is same 35*45 mm. But NL wants the face height from chin to head-top max 30 mm. Leaves a lot of empty space, no idea why. Germans (D) want face up to 36 mm. The official NL spec is for technical draftsman But this example is good enough to show. Light and background as usual. Eyes centered, chin to head-top 29 mm (30 mm). I think every photo studio should be able to do this.

max internet speed data package
KhunBENQ replied to anotherexpat4444's topic in Mobile Devices and Apps
If the mobile has a second SIM slot available it's easy to test/compare. SIM cards easily available at the booths in the Lotus's mall. Start about 200 Baht/month. As usual registration needed. -

Hello neighbor. No chance to get a fibre to home? Or not worth for temporary stay? The whole area is well covered. I have a GOMO SIM as a second SIM in the mobile phone. Although they have an English language website there is no chance to register with passport. If you have a Thai partner he/she can register with Thai ID card. https://gomo.th/ ("EN" in the upper right corner) -
Using WISE since six years (January 2018). Can't tell exactly when I switched to app preferred (after website). EUR from WISE account (Belgian IBAN) to Bangkok Bank. Never "instant"/"in seconds" because I select purpose long term stay in Thailand. Money usually arrives next day as international transfer (FTT).

Guess in Bangkok? Wouldn't be the first complaint. How do you connect? From inside condo/house? With mobile phone and working on mobile phone or tethering/mobile hotspot. Mobile phones are not best with signal quality as they have no proper antenna. A SIM router with an antenna might be useful. Just did a test with my GOMO SIM (AIS). In my room in the back of the house: 35/15 (down/up) On the balcony outside: 48/52. (GOMO SIM unlimited speed, is available only through a Thai proxy, can't register with passport). Unreliable to US: invest in a good VPN (I have NordVPN) and connect trough Singapore? -
Pit bull heroes defuse tense road rage incident (video)
KhunBENQ replied to webfact's topic in Thailand News
That is the unfortunate truth. In Germany they are often owned by "special characters" who mistreat them. That's why they landed on some red lists and either be mandatory muzzled and on leash or forbidden to own at all. Some states do test the owners fitness to own dogs. In the US I see them being left alone with the baby. -
For WISE? No. And don't access with a VPN! I had two problems in recent time with logging on. The first one was due to the fact that I forgot to switch OFF the US VPN on the mobile. So it was "suspicious" after years of logging on with Thai IP. The second one was at my usual unsociable hour of about 5:30 AM. This was indeed a problem at WISE as they showed on their status site. https://status.wise.com/ (see June 12 and planned maintenance for tomorrow) Apart from that I cross my fingers. No unusual problems. Fee rise is always unwelcome but still moderate. I don't know what that is but seems unrelated to WISE? And you don't consider you have a problem with the laptop and/or network connection?
