The black saloon car, registration from Bangkok, was found severely damaged, with the roof torn open and the bodywork crushed by the impact. Four occupants were pronounced dead at the scene, including two adults and two children. They were named as driver Mr Thananan Chalo, Ms Sukanya Saengarun, Miss Thararin Chalo and Master Apiwat Chalo.

Two other children were found seriously injured and were given first aid by rescue personnel before being taken urgently to hospital. They were identified as Master Thanawat Chalo and Miss Chayanan Saengarun. The force of the collision caused some of the victims to be ejected from the vehicle, while others were trapped inside the wreckage.
According to a friend of the deceased who was travelling in a car behind, the group had been returning together in four vehicles after a leisure trip to Bang Saen. They were heading back to their home area in Pak Nam, Samut Prakan province, when the car driver suddenly lost control. It first struck a school sign for Wat Song Khlong before skidding into a roadside electricity pole.
Police Lieutenant Sattawut Saengchai, deputy inspector (investigation) at Bang Pakong Police Station, documented the scene and gathered evidence. Officers will examine skid marks and damage patterns and review nearby CCTV footage to determine the exact cause. Investigators are considering whether driver fatigue, negligence or mechanical failure may have contributed to the crash.
The Daily News reported that the bodies of the deceased were sent for autopsy at the Institute of Forensic Medicine. Authorities will contact relatives to arrange the return of the bodies for religious rites. The investigation remains ongoing.
