Multiple entry visas

I read on another board, that if a person applies for a multiple entry visa in the Philippines or some other Asian countries, they are more difficult to get than if you apply for them is the USA.  IS this true?????

Get it from USA, they are much more generous with visa entries. Another option is consulates in Australia and Europe.

Avoid the big Thai Emabassies, they are harder to deal with.

It's very hard to get multiples in SE Asia. Penang might give multiple "B" with very good company documentation.

Anybody here in this forum that got Multiple in neighboring countries?

I previously obtained a 12 month multi from the Thai Embassy in Singapore but they needed a copy of my Thai marriage certificate (nothing else). The cost was S$ 92.00.

I am told (but with no personal confirmation) that this is also the case at the Thai embassies in Manila and Kuala Lumpur.

Without a marriage certificate (or maybe some alternative documentation) they will not give more than a 60 day single.
