FREEDOM OF INFORMATION ACT 2000 REQUEST REF: 0588 - 1 7 
Thank you for your email of 24 June asking for information under the Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) 2000.
You asked :
1). How many UK citizens are resident in A) Thailand, B) Indonesia and C) Vietnam.
2). how many in each country are UK State Pensioners.
3). Are there any figures available on known deaths in those countries.
4). Can cause of deaths be given.
 
Outcome of Search
I am writing to confirm that we have now completed our search and that the
Foreign and Commonwealth Office (FCO)does hold information relevant to your request.

It is safe to open. A lot of stats on deaths. No answers to questions 1 or 2. I have pasted the text below but not the tables with figures for deaths. Open the file to see.

Outcome of Search
I am writing to confirm that we have now completed our search and that the Foreign and
Commonwealth Office (FCO) does hold information relevant to your request.
Disclosure
We do not collect the statistics in your questions 1 and 2. However, I can provide the
following figures for deaths as requested in questions 3 and 4:


It should be noted that it is not mandatory for British nationals to report incidents to the FCO
(or one of its diplomatic missions) so consequently the figures provided cover incidents only
where we have offered Consular assistance. We also offer Consular assistance to
Commonwealth nationals in non-Commonwealth countries where they do not have any
diplomatic or consular representation, and to EU nationals who are otherwise
unrepresented. Some of this assistance may be included in the data that we make
available.
You may wish to contact the Department for Work and Pensions or the Office of National
Statistics for information on your questions 1 and 2.
